About this house rental
Step through the door of Hale Mahina Kauai and feel the aloha. The great room is the center of the home and opens onto the expansive screened lanai and the tranquil garden in the private back yard beyond. Both the kitchen and master bedroom also open to the lanai which offers dining on the kitchen end and a conversation area outside the master. The two downstairs bedrooms are on opposite sides of the great room for added privacy. Each bedroom has air conditioning and a TV and there is a 55-in smart HDTV in the great room. The upstairs loft has 2 ceiling fans and a window air conditioner (though the cross breeze through the windows on either side of the loft and the fans keep it quite comfortable most of the year)! For those of you who need to stay in touch with the real world, we offer wireless Internet service. There are ceiling fans throughout, including the lanai. The well provisioned kitchen makes preparing meals at home a pleasure as well as a huge money saver. We also provide everything you'll need to enjoy a day at the beach: snorkel gear, boogie boards, umbrella, cooler, beach chairs, beach towels and more. We also include a pack and play, high chair and jogging stroller for your keiki. A much greater value than a hotel.

Hale Mahina is conveniently located in the lushly landscaped 70 acre Poipu Kai Resort; which is a collection of single family homes and condos nestled along the paved greenbelt between the Grand Hyatt Resort and Poipu Beach Park. The single family home is a mere 5-10 minute walk from 3 beaches, the Resort's pool, jacuzzi and 8 tennis courts, the Grand Hyatt Resort, numerous restaurants and activities. Koloa town is 3 miles away and offers additional restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Poipu is the perfect jumping off spot for touring this incredibly beautiful island. It is centrally located between the lush north shore and the spectacular west side with its Waimea Canyon and Na Pali coast overlook. At the end of your day of touring or beaching it you can relax on the tranquil lanai with an umbrella drink or walk to Poipu Beach to watch one of the south shore's spectacular sunsets. It's your vacation. You decide!

We had such a wonderful stay at this cosy house and truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. The house was spotless — the rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and we loved spending evenings grilling in the backyard.The hosts really paid attention to every detail. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath towels, and even beach towels were all provided. The garage was fully stocked with beach gear — snorkeling masks, boogie boards, beach chairs, and even a surfboard which made our trip even more fun and relaxing.This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 7 people. Our favorite spot quickly became the lanai, where we shared family dinners and enjoyed peaceful morning coffee together. And speaking of coffee — there are two different coffee machines that will satisfy even true coffee lovers!The communication with the host was also amazing — always friendly, quick, and easy. Every question we had was answered in less than an hour, which made us feel very welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable vacation.

The home was very nice! It was clean, stocked with almost everything you need and the host was nice to work with. Close to beaches and shopping. We would go back!

Great house and location with everything we needed- easy walk to the pool and the beach, kitchen well equipped so we could make a few meals at home and we appreciated being able to do laundry! Kauai was amazing and we recommend staying here!

The space was well appointed and location in Poipu terrific. We had repeated difficulties with living room fans-remotes not working properly. Lighting outside was nil and no light above the front door. We replaced it with one in the garage. Our biggest issue.. honestly was louvered doors. No privacy at all… and a louvered bathroom door off the kitchen! Yikes!! Just not appropriate for sharing a house. The upstairs bedroom which we didn’t use, was a loft, not private bedroom with doors.Host was amazingly helpful and quick to respond. Thank you Heather.
