We really enjoyed our stay at Shadowcrest! It's a charming victorian house in a very quiet and beautiful location in the middle of the Catskills, a short ride away from other lovely villages and great hikes. The rooms are comfortable and the communal spaces are great, too. Plus, Brendan and his dog are fantastic hosts:)
Just nitpicking here: the breakfast options could be expanded a bit.

Good location and clean
No staff . I did step on a tiny piece of glass in the rug in the room. The room was very small. The towels were scratchy

I glanced at the breakfast. There was nothing I cared to eat.
The cleanliness was not up to par. Our room needed to be vacuumed as well as the hallway. There were also ants here and there in our room. The bathroom was definitely not cleaned. The toilet seat was dirty. There were hair clippings on the sink, faucet and toilet.
