Awesome location with gorgeous view of the sunrise. House has toys, sandbox in partially enclosed backyard, and boogie boards- my 3 year old was always entertained.
Photos of backyard were a little misleading- property does not have beach access, just backyard with retaining wall that the waves crash into. Still provided a fantastic view!

Short family gathering from around the country to thaw out. Great location on the water about 45 minutes from airport on NE side of Oahu. Exactly what we were looking for, plenty to do in the area, great house for the 6 of us. We’ll be back!

The location was great, right on the ocean, sea turtles seen from the dining room table. Great snorkeling right outside the house. However, the pictures are misleading, much of the house is outdated and worn out. Beds, chairs and couch were uncomfortable. Hard to contact host and rules were confusing. Check in was at 3 but cleaners were there until after 330.

The property was a great place to stay for our family. Lots of room. Easy beach access. Comfortable. Breath taking views. All amenities listed were included except hot tub but not a problem for us. House definitely shows it’s number of rental use (not like pics) but it’s expected wear & tear for VRBO with ocean frontage, I.e. floor in front of sliding glass doors faded, sliding glass doors don’t lock but has an alternative secure locking measure . The freezer’s handle was not there. Looked as if it had been broken off. The property provided plenty of beach accessories such as chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling masks & fins. We definitely enjoyed our stay & would stay again.

The location had great views! This property sleeps 6 comfortably not seven. The North Shore is very busy with traffic and people. Lance the property contact was extremely helpful.

Very nice locations, most tourist sites are near there , out of the business of the city , great view and many beachs nearby

The property is on the beach, a perfect location with all the amenities. Close to the beaches of the north shore, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the LDS Temple. It's on the main road to travel to Honolulu and the sites there. I would definitely stay there again if I have another family reunion here. Perfect spot for three couples or a family.

This private villa is amazing! We lost track of time and enjoyed being right on the ocean! Sea turtles swimming right in front of us every morning. Sunrises that are so beautiful! The house is awesome too. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The only thing I would agree with is that the couch is uncomfortable and needs to be replaced with one that is not so deep. It was hard to get comfortable. But that is our only complaint. The property managers responded right away when we reached out. This is an amazing place to stay!

Managers were very helpful. Property is on the beach but really can’t use the beach directly behind the house. It is very rocky. However there is beach access a short walk away.

Enjoyed our stay and definitely would stay here again. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the beach due to high tide.

Just returned! This is our second time at this Hauula property and it is our favorite place. For us the location is perfect and the views are stunning. Property is great for us and our needs. It Can get a little warm in the main living room and kitchen even with the doors open and fans but then we just pop into one of the air conditioned bedrooms for a bit or sit in the backyard to cool down. We love being able to see the sunrises and hearing the ocean all day long. great location to pop up North for surfing or snorkeling or head down into Kaneohe or Kailua for the day which we love to do. Low tide swims right out the back are fun as well. Stores and food trucks are minutes away. This house feels like our home away from home. We plan to book next year as well. Mahalo,Tish for always being available for anything needed!

This home was beautiful! The location is perfect right on the water. We seen sea turtles everyday out in the ocean. Spacious for the whole family. Everything is close by for food and Hawaiian shaved ice.

Really enjoyed this property. Property is right on the water and it’s heaven waking up every morning with the ocean in your backyard. The Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie was awesome and is just down the street, and beaches of North shore are not too far away (anywhere from 30-60 minutes based on traffic).
Property manager isn’t overly communicative, but the process is built to really not need much communication from her. Restaurants are a little limited and close down pretty early, but there are plenty of food trucks and other options. Overall, highly enjoyed our stay here!

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Owners were great, even changed out the window AC unit for us when one went out. Ocean out the back door and very quiet area. Everything touristy is about 45 min to 1 hour away, except for the Polynesian Center which was very nice, but that
was fine with us. Would definitely stay here again when we return someday.

This home is a bit older but very clean but the location is the real star. The floors are mainly beautiful hardwood. Watch out for dropped down level main room floor. Check the tide tables (Google "huaala tides" for high/low tide. The bay is has an offshore reef breakwater providing a large shallow swimable area and the yard does have a gated access w/steps. As said, the house is clean however we did have a problem with the fridge ( freezer drawer rails stuck and ice maker didn't work when we arrived. Property manager did come by to fix it but didn't leave note to let us know if it was fixed ( we found a day later that the icemaker was fixed. As mention else where the TV's are way small (32in) and only one is smart TV (bedroom) The main TV has a demo ad constantly on around the edges and Spectra doesn't work well. The gardener came during our stay while we were out and was parked in the middle of the driveway when we returned, he was just about done but we had to wait before we could park. We arrived on one of the "garbage days", the garbage can's are to be left out at the street. which had been done by previous renter when they left. However, someone dumped their garbage after pickup that day and filled "our can" Contacted property manger and they said it wasn't uncommon but we had virtually no space for our weeks garbage. Lastly, the vertical fan in the main room is out of balance/bit noisy. That said, all in all our stay was good mainly due to beach front location

My family: 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 11, 9 and 4). Great place: clean, spacious, best morning coffee location. The backyard was perfect for morning sunrises with coffee. The beach area in the backyard was great for kids to swim and sand play. We tried snorkeling but didn’t see anything. Not too far from the North Shore or Waimanalo. I’d stay there again. Thank you for sharing this house!

We came for a wedding at Kualoa Ranch. It was a perfect area and place to stay. Right on the beach and plenty of room for six of us. Grocery store not far away and close to the Polynesian center and the north shore.

Wonderful place to stay with the ocean just a few feet out the back door with some pretty cool snorkeling to be had! Nice furniture and beds and enough room / bathrooms/beds for all 7 of us. Great kitchen and dining area and nice little backyard. A little spendy, but overall worth it, and I'd do it again, to avoid the crowds and have a place all to ourselves.

We enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately it stormed all weekend. When we arrived the house was clean & we were given toiletries in all three bathrooms. The open concept shared living area was large & made it great to be cooking or eating at the dining table & still able to talk with everyone.
Good to know:
Only one bedroom has an attached bathroom.. This room is the room closest to the highway with no beach view. It is also the largest of the three rooms. Using the ac at night helped to reduce the notice from the highway.
The bedroom with the twins beds is tiny. Not much space to store your belongings.
The bedroom with a beach view has a deck that does not have access to the back yard.
Kitchen was stocked with most things you’d need to cook & and a few condiments. There was no foil or clear wrap. Items we really needed.
Beware: you will be charged extra for not taking the trash out ($50), moving furniture & not putting it back before you check out ($50) & smoking indoors (up to $250).
Trash days are clearly noted on a calendar posted on the fridge. A lot of trash bags provided.
My only complaints would be that the tv was way too small, especially for a living room of that size. Coverings for the doors facing the ocean would be ideal for privacy & to block the Sun. Lastly, what seemed to be the sewer pooled in front yard. Not sure if it was because of all the rain. It smelled bad & we had to avoid it. Gross but it didn’t hinder our stay.
Overall, we would stay here again.

We reserved this property for a family vacation in January 2022 for nine days
The night prior to boarding our flight I recieved a call from Vicki, she informed me that the city wouldn't let her rent her property any more. So we would have to figure something out for the first three nights. Then we could move into her place for 6 nights. It was a bit shady, I don't know if I believed her or not, I think she might have double booked!! A bit later she called and said the neighbor would allow us to stay in her home. Which was a bit concerning. She said that she would give us a 50% discount for the first three nights because of the inconvenience. Both places were nice and we certainly enjoyed our stay on the ocean front. However it has been over a week since our return and we cannot get Vicki to answer our text, or emails regarding our 50% refund. So it is a great location and home but I would be hesitate to rent this property. If and when she refunds my money I will certainly repost.

Our plane was delayed 5 days so we were only to stay one night. Communication with the host was difficult and the early 10am check out is disappointing. The house was lovely and the description and other reviews are very accurate. The house accommodated out family of 6 comfortably and it appears they are adding additional space. There is easy access to the beach. It was a lovely stay and we would consider coming back.

Really awesome to live right on the waters edge. Most beautiful horizon setting. State fish, humuhumunukunukuapaa, puffer fish, trumpet fish and a resident eel in backyard snorkeling. Great access to local market and turtle bay.

Property was in a good location if you want away from the city, which we did. Close to food trucks, grocery, beaches and beautiful mountain scenery. House on the beach which is nice for walking. Small backyard we used for grilling while watching the waves. Great for relaxing without the hot afternoon sun. Beautiful sunrises! We had everything we needed-dishes, towels, utensils, basic spices, etc. 45-60 minutes from Honolulu which is good for day trips to Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor.

Lovely place - quite comfortable and spacious to accommodate our family of 6 adults. One of the biggest and best stocked kitchens that I've had in my years of doing VRBO. Didn't see any turtles unfortunately - loved being right on the beach! (with the stone wall). The only negative is that Vicki, the property manager, does NOT respond AT ALL to messages. I had messaged her a few times a couple of months before we were coming - no response. Then I messaged Vicki twice on our first day as there were a couple little normal house issues such as a non-functional toilet in one bathroom and ants in the other. The VRBO info indicates to call Tish as a backup. Tish was exceptional! Very responsive and helpful! Don't know what we would have done without her! So a message to the owner: fire Vicki and give Tish her job as Vicki is not doing hers!

We enjoyed our time in this property and took advantage of the proximity to the water. It was great to watch sea turtles in your "backyard" every day at high tide. The beach immediately behind the house is only available at low tide, which for us was every morning until about 11-12. Once the tide rolls in, waves crash against the stone wall in the backyard and the beach closest to the residence all but disappears. Still, we had great walks on the beach every morning and absolutely felt safe swimming near the house at low tide.
This was our first trip to Hawaii and we really didn't know anything about Oahu. I didn't realize how far we would be from the beaches and hikes we wanted to visit, which were mostly on the southern part of the island. If you're looking for a house where you can get away from it all, this is a great location. If you want to explore the island, I would look for a place further south.
The house was nice enough for our family to enjoy for a week. A few upgrades would go a long way: the only TV is old, so there's no way to connect to apps like Netflix, etc. unless you bring your own device. A new smart TV is cheap and would add a lot. The TV is also stuck in retail mode, so the digital label for the TV model flashes across the screen and there's no way to fix it because only half the buttons on the TV remote are working. We would have also REALLY appreciated a coffee table. There's very limited space for drinks and food when you're lounging in the living room. Finally, there really is significant road noise in the front bedroom. We ran the AC every night, but it's still loud. Whoever is in that room should be a heavy sleeper. Probably would not reserve this house again.

Location of this property is fantastic, especially being oceanfront and able to access the beach in low tide right from the property. The kitchen was well stocked with any utensils or appliances you would need to cook at the home. The fenced yard with rock wall barrier is great if you have young ones so they cant dart straight for the ocean, along with the sandbox area that was a big hit with our little one. Before our stay i was trying to find out from the property owner or recent reviews if there were any beach toys or gear, etc. so i thought i'd include it in my review for other guests. There are sand toys for the sandbox, beach umbrella, a chair or two, boogie boards and beach towels availble. There might have been more items, but that was just some stuff first hand i saw.
with all the doors and windows open, the house gets a nice breeze that will cool the main gathering area down quickly and there's plenty of ceiling fans that also help. The actual beds overall were very comfortable, and the bedding was nice as well. While there were definiely many things we loved about this rental, there were a few negatives that i would have liked to know before we rented this house. Given we had a party of 7 that maxes our this house we needed all the beds they had. There is a futon in the masterbedroom that is counted as a bed. It is the most uncomfortable futon, the springs inside seem broken. When you lay it out to a bed one side is higher than the other, and when you try to lay of it in the sofa position you feel like your body wants to roll toward the floor. We needed this extra bed space when we were there, and it was extremely disappointing so someone ended up sleeping on the couch which overall wasn't much more comfortable. The fan provided in the living room did not work. The tv's were very small. The main living room tv should be bigger and offer netflix or streaming apps. The living room lacked sitting for a family of 7. Yes, you have the big table in dining but the chairs were not comfortable enought to sit in for long periods of time. the weather was not exactly perfect when we were there, and it rained quite a bit. we did not get to enjoy the outside in the evenings nearly as much as we would have wished so having appropiate comfortable seating inside would have been nice. For the nightly price you are renting this house i feel like there area a few improvements they could make to make it more comfortable.

Perfect spot for our Oahu adventure
Aloha! We so loved this house and this location! Got to swim with sea turtles right in front of the house. The view is killer and the property photos do not do it justice - the view is breathtaking. Sunrises and moonrise, starry nights - wow! The house was spotless and well- maintained. The location was such that you could hang out on the north shore one day, go to Polynesian Cultural Center another, and experience Pearl Harbor and Waikiki area. Nothing was more than an hour away. Felt like a local living there, which is what we were after. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

The property is great: with oceanfront and a sandy beach in front. We went snorkeling and saw turtles. The waves are not intense because it's protected by coral reefs. So it is good to swim with some water shoes. The house itself is okay. The beds are uncomfortable but we don't come to Hawaii to live inside the house.

A Much Needed Getaway to a Beautiful Location
Our little family had been looking forward to this trip for 8 months and weren't sure a couple of times whether we would make it. This property was perfect for us. Vicki and Tish helped us along the way. Great communication leading up to the trip and Tish helped make check-in and check-out smooth. They were both extremely responsive the couple of times we needed assistance. Upon arrival, we hit the Whole Foods in Kailua to stock up for our 2 weeks stay, before heading up the gorgeous coast to Hauula. There is also a great book store called Book Ends in Kailua across the street. For us, the property was extremely welcoming and the air conditioned rooms helped all of us sleep comfortably and soundly during hot August. Our boys (4y and 8y) loved being right on the water, watching the waves comes in, spot sea turtles right in front of the property and the location of the home (mid coast line) made travel to our favorite places easy. In the evenings, we enjoyed sitting in the back yard to eat dinner with the boys and later, look at the stars and moon over the water. Breath taking. In the morning, when the tide is low we easily went out the side gate and walked down to the water for a swim while the tide was low. In the afternoon, when the tide and waves were higher, we counted the crabs along the sea wall. Those guys are creepy but cool to watch. An easy walk down two houses takes you to the beach where maybe there would be one other person. We also hit Chinaman's Hat beach for a great protected swim area a few times. Kahana Beach Park was great for swimming and boogie boards. The washer and dryer were game changers. We were able to pack lighter and wash towels easily. Stores/Grocers and delicious food trucks were within a few minutes of the house (Aloha Shrimp and Mikes Chicken were favs). Within 25-30mins to further North to Waimea Bay/Falls, 3 Tables, Sharks Cove and within 15 Minutes to Turtle Bay Resort. Quick 15 mins South to Kualoa Ranch for an afternoon of UTV tour and lunch. The Polynesian Center was within 10 minutes and you could spend an entire day/evening there. After a long day out, coming back and relaxing at the house felt great. With COVID, we felt better about having our own place to hang out and avoid the crowds.
While you're there head down to the local gallery to check out some beautiful local artwork! I miss the stunning sunrises already. Thanks Vicki and Tish!

Amazing Breathless Paradise
My adult kids their friends and I had a wonderful time.
The view from the backyard was BREATHLESS. You had the Ocean as your Panorama. I will definitely, come back and stay in this wonderful paradise!
