About this house rental
Situated in South Bethany, this lovely house for $1,057 per night is a great option for your next break. Please Note: Saturday to Saturday rentals Memorial Day through Labor Day week. Vacation at the Quiet Resort - This 6 bedroom (3 en-suites) 4 full bath and 3 half bath waterfront home is located on a canal adjacent to the Little Assawoman Bay, a short walk to the ocean beach and a 2 mile bike ride to Bethany town. Fenwick Island State Park Beach is about 8 minutes south of the house on the east wide of route 1 - parking lot, rest rooms, showers, lifeguards, snack bar, umbrella rentals, and chair rentals. There is also a bay beach about a 4 minute drive from the house on the west side of route 1, where children can swim, kayak, paddle board. The house is perfect for family gatherings. It is designed with a reverse floor plan; 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a bedroom on the 3rd floor along with the kitchen, dining and living areas featuring beautiful bay views. A 6th bedroom is on the 4th floor as well as a 2nd living /lounge area which is suitable for teens. .The 2 dining areas on the 3rd floor allow for seating up to 18 persons. An elevator is convenient for getting groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen. It is also a nice feature for assisting those who don't do well with steps. A second refrigerator and an ice maker are located on the ground floor. An outdoor shower can be found on the canal side of the house on the ground level to rinse off after a day at the beach. We have house is decorated sparsely with ocean type motif for your relaxation and enjoyment. We provide kayaks and bikes for your enjoyment while you stay with us. Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, crabbing, beach, surfing, fishing and beautiful sunsets over the bay are a few of the many activities to keep you occupied. Sunrise and Ocean views can be seen from the roof top deck. Sunsets may be enjoyed from 1 of 4 west facing decks. The home is located in Bay View Park adjacent to Little Assawoman Bay, a wild life preserve, where there are many wild waterfowl and is a beautiful area for biking, hiking, and kayaking. We are located south of Lewes DE and about 12 miles south of Rehoboth Beach for where you will find outlet and boutique shopping and just north of Ocean City Maryland for those who enjoy activity and extensive boardwalks. Assateague, Chincoteague, Berlin and Salisbury, as well as Easton, MD and St. Michaels, MD are nice day trip destinations. Your stay with us will be a memory made for the years to come... NOTE: this house only rents Saturday to Saturday in the summer season and is NOT available for any Senior beach week rentals. NOTE: this is a pet friendly property so if you have extreme sensitivity or allergies to dogs, be advised dogs do occupy this property.

We really enjoyed having access to kayaks just out the door, being able to crab w the little ones out the back, and the very walkable distance to the beach. The beach wagon to carry items was great as were the many beach chairs and cooler. There was plenty of space in the house for a large group as well as privacy for each family. Kitchen had everything we needed and more, laundry was utilized and we used the grill several times. And parking! That was very helpful. I can’t think of anything else we would have needed. Our only confusion was about the recycling, but we got that sorted. The information talked about a green bin and our eyes only saw blue:)
“Helen’s Cottage” was a lovely spot. Thank you! Our group enjoyed sunrise and sunset kayaking, and the birding along the way. A full moon from the rooftop was an added enjoyment.

Tremendous house with plenty of room and bathrooms. The elevator was a godsend since I am 87 years old. Only problem is getting to the beach is not that easy with construction going on. We would stay here again.

Great House, Amenities!
Great house for 11 (plus dogs)! Really loved the elevator and top sundeck. Kayaks (3) were heavily used, same for the gas grill (2 propane tanks!). Beach access a little awkward, but parking passes/bikes were good for that. First floor ice maker a great idea!

Great space for family gathering
Everything was great. Plenty of outdoor areas as week as 2 living areas. Elevator for convenience of groceries luggage etc was great.
We used the kayaks and beach supplies. While we walked to the beach once to check it out we didn’t walk the rest of the time. I’d only recommend walking if in shape and don’t lug a lot of stuff to beach.

Beautiful Home Great Location
This house is very comfortable for large groups. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for fixing meals. It's an easy walk to the beach (which was not crowded at all). Parking is also available by the beach if you need it. We would definitely stay here again.

You can see the Ocean from the top deck, and the short walk through the neighborhood takes you right over to the beach and the tower. Convenient to everything, whether heading north or south for activities or just taking the watercraft out through the canals.
Cherie was extremely responsive both before and during the stay, and quickly helped resolve one issue that cropped up our last night there.

Beautiful house equipped with everything!
The house was beautiful and clean. It came equipped with all the essentials plus more (paddle boats, bikes, towels, water, etc.). Easily the best stocked house we have been to. Great deck views, good communication with the owner and easy process.

Unique location
At least it's unique for us - it was great for our kayaking family members to be able to put in right out the door! Our three year old granddaughter loved her first "boat ride" and feeding the ducks. We even saw a turtle come up for air in the canal. We've stayed in many rentals over the years and this was easily the best in many aspects: quiet neighborhood, spacious, clean, well-equipped, beautifully decorated (I put some things in our bedroom during our stay - safe from a rambunctious child). The elevator is a real plus for groceries, luggage, and oldies. Cherie responded quickly when I needed her for minor issues. No complaints here!

This is a very impressive house, and even bigger than it looks in the picture. The owner was very accommodating and easy to contact and communicate with. The neighborhood is quiet and in a great setting. There were two beach tags, which allowed us to drive our beach stuff to the end of the development, and about a 10 minute walk to the state beach. We prefer this section of the beach because its never too crowded. We used the kayaks several times to cruise around the bay, and could catch crabs right off the doc (fun for the kids). The rooftop deck was perfect for watching the sunset. You will not be disappointed with this house.

Great getaway
Loved staying here with canal access for kayaking and fishing. Quick drive to end of neighborhood to walk to quiet beach (especially on week days). Short drive to restaurants in Bethany or fenwick. Was able to get outdoor seating for our party of 10 easily every night. Cherie was extremely responsive via text. Checkout was easy and mainly included emptying refrigerator and stripping beds. They use a sheet and bath towel service and next time would bring my own towels bc they weren’t the greatest quality. We often used our beach towels and just washed them. Great place to go during this crazy Covid time. Felt socially distanced from others every step of the way!

A five star family vacation with five generations!
The property is beautiful, well maintained, well equipped, neighbors were lovely, helpful and very friendly. As a family, we have traveled to many, many beach locations and we found this to be one of our favorite houses. Thank you for providing and sharing your beautiful home with us!

Perfect beach stay
This house really makes for a perfect beach vacation. It’s in a quiet subdivision of
Bethany, right on the bay, but is a short walk to the beach (which is hardly ever crowded). The house itself is beautiful and spacious. All the bedrooms are large, and several have en suite bathrooms. The furnishings and decorations are tasteful and not kitschy, and there are many thoughtful extras, like a roof deck, an ice machine, and an elevator. There are also so many other thoughtful amenities, like kayaks, bikes, crabbing cages, beach gear, games, and cooking spices. It’s really set up as if it’s your own beach house, with everything you might want on-site. We have nothing but great things to say, and we hope to come back in the future!

Totally satisfying reunion location
Our family (older parents, three middle-aged children and four teenage grandchildren) get together every two years at different locations around the country. Six-bedroom homes are difficult to find and the prices sometimes are not justified by the accommodations. This home, however, is worth every penny. The rooms are spacious, the common spaces are comfortable, the entire house is spotless, the appointments and supplies are first-rate, and even the decoration avoids common beach crud items in favor of tasteful items of taste and distinction. The owners were unfailingly helpful and gracious. We all felt sad to be leaving after seven days.

A lovely home that met all of our needs and more.
We had a very enjoyable family time with 3 generations of 11 adults and 3 fur babies. We were well equipped to live the beach and bay life with all the amenities provided by our generous hosts: beach towels, beach chairs, bikes, kayaks, crab traps, and the fantastic kitchen which was a joy to cook in too! We took every advantage of the gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from the decks— the rooftop view is expansive, and basked in the sun at the beach across the highway as well as at the handicapped accessible state park beach 3 miles south. The house was very comfortable especially for my elderly parents, and Cherie responded quickly to our questions. I hope we can stay again in the future—we’d love to come back!

This was our first experience with a vacation rental..........I think we have been spoiled and will find this to be a tough act to follow. The home was perfect. the kitchen was well stocked with quality and attractive appliances, utensils, dinnerware, counter space, seating Bedrooms were beautifully appointed and details such as comfortable bedding, ample lighting, attractive furnishings; details including current reading material and a chair to relax in. The bathrooms... lots of bathrooms: well lit, large, well stocked with an abundance of quality products; a jacuzzi. An elevator. Kayaks, Crab Traps, boogie boards, bikes, indoor box games; sand toys, beach chairs...............we had it all. Great location to beach, bay, restaurants. Perfect.............perfect!

Relaxing time
This is an ideal rental for a large family. There is a provision for any activity at this home. We made great use of the decks, the extra frig at the lowest level, and all of the outdoor toys that are available. The kitchen is outfitted with all the utilities and gadgets to have any kind of cook-in experience. The wifi seems to be an essential ingredient for all the younger sets-it was heavily used. So this property basically has something for everyone without having to lug a lot of gear to the shore. We recommend it highly.

If you are looking for a tasteful, quality, complete with everything and anything- look no further. Cherie was an outstanding host! My own crew of 10 felt like they were in a luxury hotel. The pictures are nice but the reality exceeded any expectations. I hosted dinners for extended family staying nearby totaling 19- beautifully! This house deserves 6 stars!!! Absolutely outstanding amenities- no matter what we wanted- it was there! We kayaked, used the beach supplies, tried our hand at crabbing, and adored the private nearby beach. This was our 6th family trip to various destinations. I will not be able to top this! YOU CANNOT GET MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!
