Unique place, interior, location, fresh air from Vitosha mountain and 10 minutes from the center of Sofia, very nice rooms!

Необычное впечатление от отеля. Сначала при заезде из-за усталости было непонятно, что это за отель. Просто хотелось отдохнуть после тяжелой дороги. Но совершенно необычно открылся отель с утра, когда можно было осмотреться отдохнувшим взглядом! Этот необычный отель стоит того чтобы заехать в него и посмотреть! Прямо маленький музей! Гикам особенно понравится!

Все же стоило бы поработать над ванными комнатами, да и компоновкой комнат в целом!

Boutique Hotel Saint Nikola Boyana was located in a residential area in the Vitosha district on the outskirts of central Sofia. There were no public transport stops near the hotel, making it difficult for guests to visit the city center without the use of a car or taxi. There were also no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. On arrival, the main door of the hotel was closed and it took some time before we got in touch with a female employee who showed us a door at the back of the hotel where we could enter. The reception seemed to be unmanned almost around the clock and we met several guests who were looking for staff to answer questions, check in or check out. We also experienced ourselves that it was difficult to get in touch with the employees. The guest room was large and furnished in a sumptuous baroque-inspired style. The cleanliness and maintenance were generally good, but with some exceptions. The guest room had its own sitting area, fridge, double bed and air conditioning. The air conditioning system worked, but did not manage to cool the room on the hottest days. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and consisted of a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. However, the shower was located in the middle of the bathroom without any kind of divider or shower curtain, which meant that the entire bathroom got wet when you showered. This was perceived as an unsuitable solution. The towels were clean and in good condition. There was free wireless network throughout the hotel, but we found that the signal in the guest room was somewhat unstable. The hotel's restaurant was closed and according to the employees, it was uncertain whether the restaurant would open again. Breakfast was served between 09:00 and 10:00 and consisted of a plate of omelette, cheese, butter, honey, toast, a glass of water and coffee or tea.

The host was friendly.

During the night there were a lot of noises coming out of other rooms and the windows weren't isolating the traffic noises.

It was clean

It's one of the best places I have stayed. Great hotel with hospitable hosts. Maybe it's a bit far from the center, but still great value of money.

I noticed that there was no AC in my room, but it was too late to ask for changing it. :)

I liked the quite relaxing location. A bit outside Sofia center.

The extra fee for a second cup of coffee, if the coffee isn't served hot.
