De locatie was heel goed vanaf Paramaribo per huurauto te bereiken en was daarom voor ons, na een bezoek aan de Brokopondo dam, een goede locatie om de volgende dag, met een gids en bootje, een bezoek aan Joden Savannah te brengen. Mooie vaartocht over de Suriname rivier die, tijdens boeken van het resort, vooraf en privé ingeregeld kon worden. Prima service dus. Later nog een extra dag toegevoegd ging ook uitstekend.
De ligging aan de Suriname rivier geeft een mooi beeld.
Het resort leverde ons alles wat nodig was maar maakte wel een wat verlopen indruk. Voor een langer verblijf is dat misschien een belemmering. Boeken in een weekeinde is daarbij wel iets anders als boeken door de week. Door de week is het erg rustig op het resort terwijl, zoals ons werd aangegeven, in het weekeinde het resort vaak compleet uitverkocht is door feestvierende bezoekers.

Just as expected for the price. The room had a fridge, kettle and microwave, crockery and cutlery, clean though well used towels and sheets. The beds were comfortable. Our cabin had 2 double beds.
The location is very peaceful and relaxing, the view of the river is beautiful and always changing. We could hear howler monkeys in the distance.
There are shelters by the river where you can put a hammock or a chair. I believe there were some for rent, but if you have your own then bring them, they might be more comfortable. There are wood slatted loungers by the river pool.
The restaurant food was simple but tasty. The breakfast was eggs and cooked meats, cheese and bread and melon. Orange juice, tea and instant coffee. In the evening, the restaurant closed at 6 o'clock. We were asked to order food early and give a time that we would come back for it. We chose to take it away to our cabin, but you can eat in the restaurant. If we'd been staying longer or with a larger group we might have rented a barbecue. We like that it's possible to bring your own food and drink. A lot of places won't allow you to do that.
If you're exploring on a budget, or just want a low cost weekend away from the city it's worth the money. Especially if you have a family. But even just for the two of us it was a nice getaway.
The pool was one if the main reasons we chose this place, but the filter pump was not running. Therefore the pool was murky and didn't look clean so we chose to swim in the river pool instead. Which was fine. There was very little shade by the pool. We didn't end up using that area at all.
The whole place is a little run down and could do with an update. I think the pictures on here must be 10+ years old or so. But you get what you pay for. If you just want a quiet, inexpensive place to relax, and you're happy to bring your own little comforts then it's a good place to come.

The beach was clean and the view of the river
Our complain was heard by the staff
Breakfast was very basic and not enough for all the guests .the property charged us ,before we came ,the whole amount instead their policy only prepayment
The beach rules: no music no alcohol ,were not kept
Extreme noise at night and early in the morning and a drunk man from the camp intimidated our family member without any intervention of the security guard
