About this house rental
Located in Sound Side, this charming house for $325 per night is a great option for your next trip. Beautiful view of the sound from great room and master bedroom! Very well equipped home with many extras! Charming 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home with awesome sunset views! 4 Decks! One off the great room and the other 3 decks off the bedrooms and kitchen. Our back yard is completely fenced in. With gate on ground level and a gate off the first level deck. With back steps leading to the back yard. This home has a well equipped kitchen (microwave, refrigerator w/ automatic ice maker, and filtered water, blender, coffeemaker, kurig, dishwasher & more). The family room has a 50" smart TV with Hi Definition and DVD player with lots of dvds to choose from. Living room has gas fireplace with cathedral ceiling and open floorplan to kitchen. There is sliding glass doors to front deck equipped with deck furniture to view the amazing sunsets every evening. Master bathroom is spacious and has a jacuzzi tub to relax in after a long day at the beach. We have wireless high speed internet. And For your convenience there are a lot of extras, including: (7) bikes, boogie-boards, 2 person kayak, coolers, fishing rods, bar-b-que grill and gas grill etc. The house is located near milepost 13 within walking distance to the public beach access, Jockeys Ridge State Park. And a short ride to ocean and many fine restaurants and shopping. The front and back decks are gated. ( for children and pets safety.) Back deck can access fenced in back yard.(easy to let dog out). And the back yard is fenced and gated. WE ALSO HAVE WIRELESS INTERNET. We have linen service for an additional $75 wk.

We had a wonderful stay at Bill and Donna's - the house was well set-up to host a family - with ALL the essentials and more. Bill was incredibly quick to respond to messages. We got so lucky with so many beautiful days to enjoy sunsets on the balcony. You really don't need to bring much- they have 2 crock pots, a keurig and coffee pot, toaster, kettle- EVERYTHING you could need for cooking. Comfy beds and furniture. Thanks Bill and Donna for a lovely place to celebrate Christmas with our family!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The owners was so thoughtful and got balloons for my husband. Even though the weather wasn’t great we had an amazing time. We definitely will be back next year.

The kitchen was completely stocked for any cooking needs. Recommend checking in before heading to the grocery, as previous guests left some basics.
The beds & furniture were very comfortable. Recommend purchasing the linen service for making things easy. Towels were plentiful & lots of extra blankets available, if desired.
The owners storage closet is a treasure trove of necessary beach items--chairs, umbrella, a canopy tent, bicycles of every size- even one with training wheels!
We enjoyed the beautiful view of the sound & spent a lot of time on one of the many decks. Very quiet street great for walking or short bike rides.
There is a back entrance to Jockeys Ridge State Park about a mile.from the house, where you will.find parking for hiking OR access.to a very nice beach area- great for littles who aren't comfortable with the rougher surf on the coastal side. This was a surprise, and a great discovery!
Beach access is easy- just a short drive across the street to public access parking. The house is convenient to everything, really!
We had a glitch with the AC toward the end of the week. Bill & Donna were very responsive & acted quickly to resolve the issue.
Overall, an excellent stay in a beautifully kept & very comfortable home. We would highly recommend this property!

We brought our kayaks and enjoyed a peaceful morning paddling on the sound, launching from nearby Jockey's Ridge. Lots of public beach access options nearby. Bill and Donna were amazing hosts and put a lot of thought and care into making sure their guests have a great time in OBX.

Everything about this house and its location was perfect for us. Very centrally located with beautiful views of the sound, the house is even more impressive than the pictures suggest. We had everything we needed, plenty of space, and a great backyard for our dog. Would definitely consider returning in the future. The owners were helpful and communicative at every stage. The house was perfect for our yearly family beach vacation! Location was within walking distance to the sound beach entrance, super short drive to the ocean and centrally located to the shops and restaurants! The house was in perfect condition and the owners were super friendly and wonderful to work with! Couldn’t have asked for a better home to spend our vacation!

We had such a great time here for our beach week. We enjoyed the sunsets, they were incredible and the backyard was perfect for our pups! We won't hesitate to stay here again when we return to the area!

Clean, comfortable,with beautiful view of sound. Easy walk to Jockey ridge sound access which we loved!. Quick drive to multiple ocean access some w shower & porta potty! House is actually even more amazing in person. Lots of pillows and blankets, lots of extras in kitchen. The gated decks& large yard are amazing especially w our pooch! Owners checked on us& go extra mile!

Our stay was perfect, with some lovely sunsets. A walkable soundside beach offered us a great spot to walk my sister’s dog, who also enjoyed the fenced back yard. Perfect getaway to catch up with family. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time because this is a great property. Our dog loved the yard so much! The beds are very comfortable. The house was well-stocked with books, games, and kitchen supplies. It's in a quiet location close to the Jockey State Park. However, the best part is the owners. When packing up, we forgot a pair of glasses. The owners found the glasses and texted us before we knew we'd forgotten them and have since returned them to us. We're so appreciative. For all these reasons, we hope to stay again sometime in the future.

This was our first time in the Outer Banks region, a 30th anniversary trip for us, and we found the house to be a perfect setting for it. We loved it, recommend very highly.

Communication with the owners was outstanding both before and during our stay. They are easy to work with and quick to reply to an inquiry. It’s definitely a place to come to make family memories!

Our group travels together somewhere every year and we always rent a home. We have never stayed in a place we liked more than this property. The house and neighborhood are wonderful but the thing that impressed me the most was the property owners. They texted me several times just to make sure that all was well and to wish us safe travel. We are seriously thinking about making this a place we go to often.

We loved our stay! We have a preteen, 8 year old and a 6 year old so the beach behind jockeys ridge has been a favorite for years due to the shallowness of the water and the lack of rip tides! This house is a short walk or bike ride there (the house has bikes for every size child!!). Hot tip: the sound beach clears out between 1-2pm so there is always parking during that time and hardly anyone on the beach! The ocean beach access are a 2 min drive from the house and because there are 3 of them within 2 miles of the house there was always room to park in one. The house is located on a dead end road so we watched the sunset while the kids rode their bikes on a very safe road. Another hot tip: jockeys ridge cools off substantially close to sunset and is a fun time for a game of hide and seek with kids or just to see the panoramic view of the sunset over both the sound and ocean! Also your within 3 miles to the best ice cream shop in OBX (surfin spoon), we definitely got ice cream for lunch a few times🤣! Our only complaint was the king mattress which just meant more walks to the dunes to loosen our tight backs HA! Highly recommend this home if you can’t tell from my lengthy review!

Our stay at Alpha & Omega was great! The 3 bedroom house was as advertised with a fully stocked kitchen, large living room and multiple decks to watch the gorgeous sunsets over the Sound. The location, on a quiet street across from the Sound, was perfect to experience all the Outer Banks has to offer from nearby Jockey’s Ridge to the public beach access (with bathrooms) just a short drive away. Booking was seamless and the owners (Bill & Donna) were responsive when we had questions during our stay. Since we had brought our dog, the fenced in yard and gates on the deck were a bonus for us. All in all this was a great house for our week in the Outer Banks!

My sister and I have vacationed at various OBX locations for several years. This home set a new bar for excellence. Aside from the tidy outside and spotless inside, it had many amenities. Families with children will appreciate the numerous bikes from small to large along with biking helmets, the kayak, boogie boards, games and movies. The furnished decks ( two in the front and two in the back) provided ample opportunities to catch the morning or evening breeze. The fenced back yard ( with horseshoe pits) allowed our canine guest to enjoy several games of fetch-the-ball. The kitchen was well furnished with all basic cooks tools, coffee pot, blender, hand mixer, electric stove and double oven and microwave. The furniture was comfortable. The view to the Sound allowed us to watch boats and enjoy the sunsets.. The house is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the south entrance to Jockey’s Ridge. Ocean access, grocery stores and many good restaurants are within a short driving distance.

This comfortable home was within a 5 minute walk to Jockey's Ridge and just off the sound. The house provided bikes/ kayaks/games etc. so visitors could take full advantage of the surrounding natural areas.

Simply Gorgeous! A Wonderful experience!
The owners of this beautiful home have really thought of everything! We definitely felt at home while we were there. The house was spotless and every necessity and lovey extra has been thought of. Check in was a breeze and the owners are so nice and welcoming and responsive The house is in a wonderful location, beautiful views of the water and close to the beach and all OBX activities. Our dog loved the enclosed balconies and yard! I loved early morning and sunsets on the balconies. We were just blown away and didn’t want to leave this cozy home on our last day!! This is the only place we will stay when we come back to OBX! Thank you so much for everything!

Loved being right on the sound and a short walk to Jockey ridge park park
the property was in great shape and I loved a porch on each level. I sat out on every one!!! A huge yard for my Shitzu. Plenty of room for 8 guests. The owners were so easy to get in touch with our questions. Will go again

The neighborhood setting was unexpectedly so welcoming as if we had lived there for years. Our Jack Russells and grandchildren loved it even more. Long walks along the quiet sound front road down to the family friendly sound front beaches. The entire house was very clean and well maintained. Everything for babies and pups! There were amazing extras like cozy blankets everywhere, bicycles, corn hole, horseshoes, hammock - you name it and it was at your fingertips.
