We read the vicolo 8 reviews before going there and were expecting a nice stay. But the stay was exceptional.
Antonino is an incredible and kind person and such a welcoming host. We did not feel at any moment that we are staying at a hotel or B&B. The room, services and everything was perfect. It always felt home because of the care and willingness of Antonino to help at all the times. We always knew that if at any point we feel confused in the city, we can just contact him and get the best advice. This only happens when you have that trust in a person.
Sorrento is such a beautiful city and people like Antonino make it even more beautiful. We will surely be going back to not just Sorrento but to our HOME in Sorrento as Antonino always say.
If you are looking for not just accommodation but a home-like feeling, I would highly recommend Vicolo 8. You will not only have an exceptional room and service, but you will also gain a great friend in Antonino who will make your trip even better.

The host Antonio is Vicola 8. He takes great pride in his accommodation and it is spotlessly clean. We chose this place because of the fantastic reviews, we realise the reviews all relate to Antonio, the fantastic location and living like an Italian. For this we 100% agree. But as a 60+ couple used to luxury our initial thoughts when opening the door to the premises had a feel of staying in his spare room. It's a great space but could be so much more. Antonio was extremely helpful helping with our suitcases up all the stairs and took us to the station after 4 nights and for this we would give him 11 out of 10. We used his place as a base to explore sorrento and we realised this is probably what his place is for.
The towels need to be replaced as said in previous reviews and the stairs are quite a challenge if you have mobility problems (luckily we are still fit, well we are now lol)

Antonio is an excellent host with excellent communication skills and is so very helpful. Antonio met us at the square and helped us with our luggage. Apartment is in a brilliant location and was spotlessly cleaned. Antonio was constantly checking in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything! Thank u for all your personal touches which enhanced our stay.
