Located in Sullivans Island, this lovely house for $2,500 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This amazing house is difficult to describe in words so please check out the video after the second picture of the slide show of pictures at the top of the page. Spectacular ocean views from every bedroom as well as outdoor hot tub and private pool are only the beginning to the seemingly endless amenities that come with this oceanfront home on the best beach on Sullivan’s Island. The spacious deck wrapping around three sides of the house creates porches off every bedroom. When not relaxing on the beach, by the pool or in the hot tub, you can enjoy the full-sized pool table or cook-out on the deluxe gas grill. First Floor: The first floor boasts a huge open area kitchen, den and dining room with an entire wall of windows facing the ocean. Having the large kitchen attached to the den and dining area allows for guests to enjoy cooking, eating, or playing pool while overlooking and listening to the calming sounds of the ocean waves. Down the hall are three bedrooms - one king (K), one queen (Q) and two twin bunk beds (TT) – which share two and a half bathrooms. All of these spacious bedrooms have sliding glass doors opening to the deck or screen porch overlooking the beach. Second Floor: The second floor offers one king (K) and on equeen (Q) size bedrooms, a full bathroom, and small living area with a sofa bed. Both bedrooms open onto a second floor deck complete overlooking the ocean. The house has recently been renovated and includes three flat screen TVs with Apple TV, two DVD players and digital cable. This perfectly-located oceanfront home will take your beach vacation to a new level! One of the families that owns the house lives a mere two blocks down the beach and includes two very responsible teen daughters who love children...so our almost in-house babysitting option can provide a huge benefit to families traveling with children. This spacious beach front home is sitting on one of the most beautiful lots we have seen. Beautiful ocean views from many rooms. Our family of ten had plenty of room. The decks, gas grill and ice machine were great amenities.

We’ve stayed at this house twice and think the layout and location can’t be beat. The pool and hot tub are nice additions. While the house is a bit older, it’s well maintained.

We have been staying at this home since 2020. We love that it is right on the beach and dog friendly! We love watching all of the dogs run around in the morning and taking our furry friends out to frolic with the other pups.

The location of this property was unmatched. The layout of the house was perfect to accommodate 3 different family groups that were staying and the kitchen was stocked with every gadget imaginable. Check-in was a breeze even after our flight was delayed 5 hours.
I would have appreciated better communication regarding the baby supplies at the house- there are more than are mentioned! We ended up borrowing a pack n play bc we were under the impression there was only 1 when there are actually 3 and we wouldn’t have had to go through that inconvenience. Would love to see some more beach supplies as well. We had 1 working chair.
Overall a great experience and we would love to visit again!

We had a beautiful vacation with our kids and grandkids! We have never stayed in a house with more gorgeous views from any room of the house and for that reason alone I would stay there again in a heartbeat! That being said, the appliances are pretty old and the entire house is in desperate need of updates and plumbing repairs. The kitchen was well stocked, however, and location is ideal! The pool was a big plus also!! Love Sullivans Island so much and this stay was a blessing!

Sullivans Island Old School Beach House
We had a wonderful time staying in this "Old School" beach house! If you want fancy and new this is not the place but if you want a good swinging screen door, not have to worry about bringing sand into the house (swept every day and still couldn't keep up!), and able to bring your pups along, this IS the place for you! The location is perfect, as it is at the IOP end of the island, and access to the HT on IOP is easy. We rented a golf cart to get around the island when going to lunch or dinner. There are certainly things that the owners could tend to in order to bring it closer to par (Kitchen cabinets, towel bar in the upstairs bathroom) but all in all it was just as we expected. We had a delightful time at the beach at the ICK - it was just to short a stay! We will be back!

This house is in a great location right on the beach, in a very quiet area. It was perfect being able to see the ocean from every angle. Below is a list of pros and cons we found about this house to keep this review honest. We probably would not stay here again because we feel it is very expensive and the house needs a lot of updating and upkeep to make it worth the price. If they closed this down for a few weeks or a month and really did some work on the house, it would definitely be worth the money.
Pro:
- Right on the beach
- Dog friendly
- Beautiful views
- Very clean
- Nice amenities of towels, linens, toiletries
- Nicely stock kitchen of pots, pans, appliances
- Lovely screened in porch
Cons
- Pool is not heated, unless you go in the dead of summer, it is too cold to swim in the pool prior to June/July
- Pool is not maintained. Someone comes to check the levels but they do not clean the pool. There were bugs everywhere at the bottom and floating around the pool.
- Lawn is not maintained so there are burs everywhere. My son stepped in the grass and got burs stuck in his feet. We picked them out for days. Same with the dog.
- Deck needs a lot of updating and maintenance. Always wear shoes on the deck or else you will be picking out splinters. Railings will also cause splinters.
- Overall upkeep of the house is pretty poor, cabinets are falling off, nails exposed, ceiling was leaking water in the kids room, paint chipping off in multiple rooms.

Buyer Beware
Great location (though not for swimming) but this property is in pretty rough shape. At the price the owners are charging, the condition of this house is very insulting. The kitchen cabinets are literally falling off the hinges (some are off and they haven't replaced them) and they're REALLY sticky, which was gross. The appliances are rusted. The gas grill was also in really bad shape; replacing this would be such a simple and considerate thing for the owners to do. The deck is rotting in many places and you must watch out for splinters - it would be treacherous for families with young kids. It would behoove the owners to take the house off the market for a week or two and do some basic maintenance, Beautiful views, but I'd take my money somewhere else.

Great House, Great Location
Family, friends and dog together for long weekend to celebrate a birthday. What attracted us to the home was beach front location, hot tub, pet friendly and close proximity to downtown Charleston restaurants (about 20min drive). The house was spacious and accurately reflected in VRBO online pictures. Too cold for the pool but we spent a lot of time enjoying the hot tub, going for runs & walks on the beach and playing pool on the inside pool table. Communication with the property manager was easy and she was very responsive when we asked to extend our stay by a day. Will definitely rent there again

Amazing Views!
This house was like living right on the beach, wonderful views from every room. I was the first one up every morning and watched the sun rise while I drank my coffee in the spacious great area. Other family member said they watched it rise from their beds before heading back to sleep. The pool table was fun, and the space was perfect for our group of 9. We had a few minor issues with the ice machine and old kitchen cupboards. The biggest problem for us was the fireplace was not working, which we really had been looking forward to using over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we had specifically picked a house with a working fireplace. The owner had someone come over to take a look, and then came over himself but was unable to get it working for out trip. :(
All in all, I would love to rent this home again if the fireplace was working!

Best spot on the beach!!
All was fabulous. You really only need your bikini and sweatshirt!
Every thing else was supplied by the homeowner.

Prime location and great house for pup!
We absolutely LOVED the location! You could sit on the front deck and feel like you were sitting on the beach, it was so close. Also loved the wrap around deck and fenced back yard. It was perfect for our dog who could run around outside and still stay safe.
We also loved the large great room with the adjacent pool table area. The bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for us. The only downside was the kitchen. Although well stocked with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans, small appliances, etc., the stove did not work great and some of the cabinets were literally falling apart.
Having said that, we would absolutely return since cooking is not a priority for us. Also, thanks to the owners for the bottle of wine upon arrival!

Hidden Gem
We loved the location of this property. It had everything we needed and allowed us to bring our pups. All of the kids liked this house the best out of all of the places we've rented over the past 5 years in the Charleston area. We will def be back next summer!

Sullivan's Island Rocks!!
Great week at the beach with my family and my brothers family. Location is killer. Had a blast and highly recommend visiting Charleston and Sullivan's island. So many fun things to do for families and having a great city like Charleston only 25 mins away was awesome. We will be back!!!

Great Place for Multigenerational families and groups
We loved staying here. There was room to stretch out and our group could break up into smaller groups as the night wore on. The little ones loves doing the beach in the morning and afternoon in pool. Pool has no shade so a canopy of some sort would have been helpful. We purchased one and it worked great. We would rent this property again.
