About this house rental

Located in Lake Placid, this charming house for $264 per night is a great option for your next trip. The Hut on Grand View is our home away from home and would like to share it with you when we are away. We are very centrally located - just 5 minutes away from Main Street on foot, 2 minutes away from the park and only 20 minutes by car to Whiteface Mountain. The Whiteface Shuttle stop is only 500 yards away. The pharmacy and grocery are just a stone's throw away by car. Despite being centrally located, our neighborhood still maintains its peace and tranquility. Our home has two bedrooms for our guests with one full bathroom. Each bedroom can sleep two adults. The cozy living room which has a gas stove, can sleep another adult on the sofa bed. All bedrooms, living and dining room is fully carpeted. Our kitchen and dining room are well-equipped if you desire to have your home-cooked meals. The sunroom is newly renovated with cedar walls and Brazilian cherry wood floors. We also have outdoor surveillance cameras for safety. Sorry, no pets allowed. Whether you are an avid winter sportsman, golfer or ironman (we are only a 5-minute walk from the starting line of Ironman), all your sports equipment can be stored safely and securely in the first floor of the house, the entry of which also serves as the mudroom. The laundry machine and dryer are located in the first floor as well (garage level). The first floor conveniently connects to the indoor 1-car garage. This is perfect for keeping your vehicle away from rain or snow during those nasty days. In case you have more than one vehicle in your party, our property has extra parking spaces just right in front of the house that can accommodate 2 vehicles. We have a modest home with all the comforts of home and we're sure you'll love it!

We had a wonderful time in the house. Marion was, from the beginning, very accessible and prompt to answer any question, and accommodate our requests. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a great experience and a lovely stay.

The location cannot be beat. The hut on Grandview is centrally located and was an excellent home for the long weekend in Lake Placid.

Extremely clean. Well appointed and well stocked kitchen. Very good drain draw on toilet. Good hot water. Very convenient indoor garage. Good response from both the host and the local property manager. Conveniently situated close to downtown.

Everything about this house was perfect! Great location, easy walk to town. Extremely clean, very comfortable layout, great kitchen for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. The basement was a great place to store all the winter gear and the heated garage was a bonus. Marion was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely return next winter!

Everything is perfect... the kitchen very well equipped for cooking, nice spaces and very comfortable especially with the gaz firepit... The sun room was great and confortable as well, and warm enough even with the amount of snow.. We walked to city center very easily... The owners have organized everything into the house ...perfectly done.. we hope to come back very soon....

Exactly as advertised, this home is well-kept, a short (albeit hilly) walk to the Village and perfect for a small family. You can tell the owners stay here often (the kitchen was well stocked with supplies), the home was clean and we LOVE the screened in porch. That was my favorite part of the whole house! Traveled with 2 kids (4 and 10 months) and my husband. Marion was a lovely host who was very responsive. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

We much enjoyed our stay at this property. The communication with the owner of the house was very easy. The house was very clean and nicely warm and cozy when we arrived. The house had everything what we needed for our stay. The sun room was my preferred place to rest and have tea while watching the snow fall. We felt very comfortable at this property and would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time in Marion’s hut. The place is cosy, well appointed beds are comfortable and the linens are soft! The foosball table in the basement was a plus for kids fun. Marion was warm and accessible. We loved lake placid and skies, snowshoes, skates and breathes fresh mountain air. We will be back very soon!

We enjoyed our stay here for the long holiday weekend. The property was absolutely spotless, check in and out was a breeze and we were walking distance to main st lake placid! We had a full kitchen to cook in and definitely made use of it when wait times at all local restaurants were soul crushingly long (even for lunch!). I enjoyed the homey mountain decor and the beautiful sunroom. Did I mention it was so clean you could eat off the floor? I slept better knowing Marion's place is well taken care of. Our host was friendly and very responsive. Thank you so much!

The Hut was a great way to enjoy a long weekend in Lake Placid. It is comfortable, charming, and nicely appointed. We all enjoyed the sunroom and backyard. It’s just minutes from downtown, which makes walking for meals or shopping easy. Centrally located so you can be in the high peaks, whiteface, or Saranac Lake in 15 or 20 minutes. The gas powered fireplace/stove was great for cool evenings. I would highly recommend the Hut for a great time in Lake Placid.

We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to people. We liked its location so we could walk to the downtown area of lake placid. The house is not huge but provided us with everything we needed. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a formal dining room, and a sunroom. We felt very relaxed during our stay.

“The Hut” was a great home base for a long summer weekend in Lake Placid! It’s comfortably furnished and conveniently located, and everything matched the listing. We particularly loved the sunroom and having the option to grill. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area!
