About this condo rental
The name Xenios stands for "protector of guests, hospitality and the stranger" and the spirit of our holiday apartment that was renovated and newly furnished in June 2016. Whether palace, promenade, bathing beach, cafe or restaurant, everything is in front of the door or can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The apartment is located 80m from the sea and 100m from the adjacent World Heritage Site, the historic center of Split. It is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms, cable TV with 15 German channels and free WiFi. From the balcony of the 50 sqm south apartment, the Blichk crosses the harbor and the ferries. In the spacious kitchen you will find a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table for up to 6 people. A baby chair is provided on request. If necessary, the sofa transforms into a 160 cm wide double bed with mattress and slatted frame. A flat screen offers various television programs. In the bedroom you will find a classic double bed (180 cm), a three-door wardrobe with mirror and safe. Both rooms offer a view of the sea, the harbor and the island of Brac, each has access to the balcony with a table and seating. The friendly bathroom offers a toilet, large vanity and floor-level large shower, washing machine. For winter guests in the bathroom floor heating, heating by air conditioning. Smoking is not permitted! Xenios is next door to the Xenia studio apartment (see Announce No. 2560339). Both can be rented together. Families or groups are very welcome. Amazing view of the harbour. Bright, clean and spacious apartment. Has all the amenities needed for a short or longer stay. Very close to the old town and boardwalk but just far enough away to be quiet at night. There’s a cafe, bakery and grocery store within 2 minutes of walking. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Split. Easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, ferries and buses. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Communication with the owners was great and they were a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this apartment and would stay again. Thanks

Apartment is charming, very well-equipped, and quite spacious. I had everything I needed in the apartment, including things in the kitchen for me to cook meals when I want. Doors in both living room and bedroom open into wonderful views and sea breeze. Best thing is the location -- it's just a short few mins walk to the center of all the action, with enough distance that I didn't get much noise from the crowd. Go west a little and the stretch of beaches begins. Perfect vacation getaway!

Our stay in Split was excellent! Edzard and Sanja's apartment is a gem. We had all the amenities we needed and loved the balcony experience with a view of the harbour. So close in walking distance to the Palace and restaurants!

The apartment was beautiful and comfortable; it has been updated with a modern kitchen and bath, which sets it apart from other rentals we have had. The kitchen is very well equipped with quality appliances and the necessary dishware, glassware, and cooking utensils. It was stocked with initial supplies for cleaning and paper products. Over time, various renters have left spices, dried herbs, and other staples. so you don’t really have to run out right away and buy a lot of stuff. We would recommend that you check first to see what is here before going shopping. There are two Tommy supermarkets a few minutes’ walk where you can get what you need.
The apartment location is wonderful – it is a short walk to the Green Market and the Fish Market, which are open every morning and early afternoon. The whole Old Town and all the ferry piers can be reached on foot, and there is a nice view across Split harbor from the apartment balcony, yet the immediate neighborhood of the apartment was very peaceful and quiet.
On arrival it may appear that the immediate neighborhood is not ideal, because the current office building across the street is vacant. That building has a desirable location along the water so that’s likely to change. In any case, the area seemed very safe and the people living there are quite nice.
We had a car in Split, and a car isn’t necessary, as everywhere we went or thought of going is reachable by foot or ferry. If you do have a car, parking on the street can be hard to find. There is a public garage very close where you can get 1, 3, or 7 day passes with in-and-out privileges, and we left our car there for the week.
In short, we had a wonderful visit to Split with this beautiful apartment as our home away from home.

An ideal location less than 10 minutes’ walk to Palace and numerous eateries. A i bar and pizzeria only 2 minutes walk away. The apartment was clean, modern and well stocked with plenty of crockery and utensils. The balcony was an added bonus and was well used during our stay. I highly recommend

This property is an excellent place to stay !!
It has fantastic views of the harbor with ships and ferries coming and going all day. It is a short walk to fantastic eating and drinking establishments and the Promenade/Riva. There is a grocery store 1 block away that carries most anything you would want for back in the apartment. The unit itself is clean, well kept and has every home and kitchen utensil you would ever need ! The unit has a washing machine and air-conditioning which we definitely needed during our stay. The owners were not on site but were available and answered any questions we had almost immediately. This property is a real winner, you can't go wrong.

Big surprise inside
We came upon the building with a little hesitation, but once in the suite we loved it. Comfortably cozy. Clean, fresh and new decor. This was our best stay and night sleeps of our three weeks away. Hosts were fantastic. No lift if you need one, but not too difficult to manage.

Great apt and location
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in Split. The apt was close walking distance from everything. The laundry machine worked great and the shower was really nice. The kitchen had more than we expected. The terrace outside didn’t have the best view, but was a nice bonus.

While the street and adjacent properties are a bit rundown and don't look the nicest, the overall location was great. the property is close enough to the old city, waterfront, hiking trails, beach, restaurants, etc. to make it very convenient, but far enough away so that we didn't deal with late night partiers or noise of any kind. The kitchen was very well outfitted with appliances, pots, pans, dishes, etc. Where the property fell down was on the quality and comfort of the linens. The towels were old and not soft or comfy. Also, for a 7 day stay, we only got one bath towel and 1 hand towel each. We exercise a lot so we take a lot of showers. We were constantly washing our meager supply of towels. Also, I like to cook and there was only one dish towel which again, just felt sort of meager. Finally, the sheets and pillows were old and not very comfortable. I would have appreciated more quality and quantity of linens. I would recommend the property but perhaps suggest you request additional towels from the property manager before arrival and recognize the you will definitely not be sleeping in a hotel level bed. The City of Split was truly delightful and we loved shopping at the green market, fish market, etc. and then cooking lovely meals in the well apointed kitchen.

Lovely Sunny Apartment
We had a delightful week in this apartment. It is exceptionally clean and well cared for. Everything works! The beds are comfortable. The area is very near the promenade and Old Town but far enough away to relax on the balcony and to have a good night’s sleep.
There is a really good supermarket and bakery less than 5 minutes away. No car is necessary. Check in was good as we were met by Pave and Laura who gave us lots of very useful information about the area. Thank you so much.

Split apartment
This is advertised! Neighbourhood will be redeveloped, so the immediate area is bit depressing, but that is the only blemish. Otherwise, it is quite quiet and close to everything. Recommended!

Ideal location for a self-catering holiday
This second floor apartment (no lift) is ideally situated for someone wishing to relax and enjoy the local sights, sounds and cuisine. Restaurants are nearby , as are more than one supermarkets, bars, transport and the fabulous Riva (promenade) is 5 minutes walk. The ferry terminal is a 20-30 minute walk away . Pave & Laura are your hosts and are also available to take you on any excursion you wish. Mira is the lady who keeps the apartment clean and she visits twice a week to check that you have all you need.
I did some cooking and found all the equipment in perfect working order and easy to use.
We were there for two weeks and loved being able to come home and sit on the balcony and watch the comings and goings of the harbour.
We would definitely recommend this lovely apartment and if we ever return to Split we would love to stay there again.
Apologies, Pave, if I didn't write anything in the guest book in the flat (I had things going on at home which took over, so I might have forgotten).

The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Great location and great view of the harbour. Meeting Pave and Laura at the airport was a brilliant start to our trip. They helped me to get my mobile phone repaired and really made us feel welcomed and supported.

Family get away
This is a lovely apartment in a really good location, just a 5 min walk from the old town. It’s really well equipped for all your needs and immaculately clean. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 for neighbourhood is because of the property in front of the apartment block is unsightly to look at, at some stage in the past a hotel has been partly built and then just abandoned and has been covered in graffiti and left to fall apart. We walked to the beach most days but the local bus stops just at the bottom of the hill if you wanted a ride there. The closest beach is around 15 mins walk, but if your prepared to walk a bit further the beach is beautiful and worth the extra trek. It’s worth taking water shoes with you as the beaches are all rocky which is hard on your feet for getting in and out of the sea. We hired a car for a few days and visited Krka National Park for the day.
The apartment is perfect for 2 adults, we found it a bit of a squeeze for space when our adult children joined us for a few days, the second bed being a sofa bed in the lounge space. Pave who looks after the apartment is very helpful and was very quick to respond to my questions. If we visit Croatia again this will definitely be our go to.

Great spot in Split
We stayed at apartment Xenios with our 5 yr old son for 3 nights. The apartment has been recently renovated and is very clean. The beds are comfortable. It is a 5min walk to old town and to the port. The property manager was great. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this apartment.

Short stay in Split!
The apartment exceeded expectations, was a larger space than the photos suggested, clean and very modern. Conveniently located for supermarkets, and a very short walk to bars, restaurants and the old town. We were met by Pave on arrival who helped us with any questions we had and with transportation. He was hugely helpful, very friendly and again, exceeded expectations!! We had a wonderful stay in beautiful Split!!

Awesome apartment
Absolutely loved this apartment! Very spacious for 2 people and everything you need was within walking distance. Edzard was very easy to communicate with . Responding to emails very quickly. Pave and Laura went out of their way to help in any way possible. Would love to return some day.

Week in Split
On arrival at Split Airport we were met as arranged with Paul and taken to meet Laura at the apartment. It was spotlessly clean and exactly as the photos had shown it to be. We were given a tour and left with contact numbers, a town map and directions to the local supermarket.
The view over the harbour was lovely to wake up to each morning.
The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything I needed to prepare meals with the local produce from the fish and green markets.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were changed part way through our stay which was a lovely touch.
For a one bedroom apartment had two large rooms and the balcony was lovely for breakfast and relaxing reading a book later in the afternoon. There are tour guide books and lots of leaflets for local activities in the apartment.
The apartment block itself was very quiet and the location just within an easy walk of the Riva and especially the lovely new bars by the Marina.
We arranged a trip with Paul to Krka National Park which was a great day out with some added sightseeing en route at Solin and Klis.
The beaches are within walking distance although Joes Beach Bar at Kasjuni is a little further it is worth the walk.
We also hired a Tuk Tuk for a city tour which was fun.
The ferries over to the other islands are very easy to book and Hvar was a lovely day trip.
An excellent holiday for us - we will be back definitely.

A gem of a holiday
A wonderfully appointed and comfortable property in a great location with a superb sea view. A stones throw away from the waterfront and historical old town and a great base in which to explore other parts of Croatia by ferry or bus. We loved every minute of our stay at Xenios.

Amazing harbour view. Very close to Diocletian Palace.
We were only able to stay in this apartment for 2 nights due to our travel time constraints, however we would have loved to have stayed here much longer! Check-in was super easy with excellent online and WhatsApp communications with the owners and also the local hosts who greeted us. Beautiful, clean, bright, fully-appointed apartment. Comfortable beds and sitting areas. This apartment is very close/ short walk to the main harbour, Marjan Park and the Diocletian Palace area. Grocery store is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Many cafes and restaurants to choose from a short walk away, overlooking the harbour.
We highly recommend staying here if you ever travel to Split.

Lovely place to stay in Split
The apartment was great, my husband and I spent 4 nights here and it was perfect. Great location and view of the water, functional kitchen. Heated bath tiles which was a plus on a couple cold days. The host let us check in early which was very helpful, and provided good information about the town and things to do. I would definitely stay here again. The one area of opportunity would be the comfort of the bed.

Lovely Apartment
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully designed and decorated apartment perfectly located for an easy stroll to Diocletian's Palace or the Marjan Forest. We made use of the kitchen facilities quite a few times and found everything we needed to make nice meal for ourselves while the ships came and went from the harbour. There are ample shops a few minutes from the apartment to fill your every need. The apartment itself was cosy and we immediately felt right at home. The living room and bedroom were very comfortable and the bathroom functioned really well including the washing machine which we took full advantage of. Everything was provided for including area maps and information. Communicating with Edzard leading up to the stay was efficient and prompt. Access to the apartment was as arranged and we maintained contact with Laura while we were there. There were no surprises and the apartment is exactly as pictured. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will be recommending it to friends who plan on visiting Split in the future. Overall an outstanding travel experience - thank you!!!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment. Fantastic location with a lovely view
We were met on arrival by. Paul and Laura who had organized pick up from the airport for us. Paul had information and maps of the area for us and was full of helpful advice. The apartment was beautifully furnished, double glazed and air conditioned . Every comfort was seen to and the apartment was cleaned and fresh towels provided half way through our 7 day stay. We cannot speak highly enough of this perfectly lovely accommodation and the helpfulness of the property managers.

Wonderful experience
Apartment was great! Service was wonderful. Issue with AC, but corrected immediately. Fresh towels and cleaning unexpected nice touch. Only real issue was the queen size is two twin beds pushed together, creates a big crack in the middle.

Stunning view overlooking Split harbor
This beautiful, modern apartment overlooks the Split harbor - affording lovey views of cruise ships and sailboats. The apartment is newly decorated and immaculate. Highly recommended.

Perfect , Quiet Location! Walking Distance to City Center
Loved the layout of the apartment and all the amenities. Air conditioning was reliable. Communication with owners was excellent. Pave, our host, greeted us at the bus station right on time and was very accommodating, personable and dependable. Thanks so much for letting us stay in this wonderful apartment. Definitely worth a return trip!

Close to the center but far enough away so you dont hesr amy noise at night
We were picked up at the airport by Josip, who also checked us in to the apartment and told us where the nearest supermarket etc were. We only stayed 3 nights but thoroughly enjoyed Split, thank you
