About this cottage rental

Nestled in North Truro, this lovely cottage for $210 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This beautiful and restful four-season cottage near bay and ocean beaches combines the comfort and ease of modern amenities with the charm of exposed beams and natural pine floors. The building, a renovated barn, has two stories, fifteen by twenty feet, with an attached full bathroom. The cottage is now completely solar-powered. Downstairs the open floor plan has a comfortable seating area with a daybed/couch, a dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen. French doors lead to the delightful screened-in porch with table and chairs, creating a sense of continuous space, inside and out. Upstairs is light and airy, with windows looking over the back hill, gardens, and a large cherry tree full of songbirds. There is a high-quality queen bed and single bed by the windows (perfect for reading and daydreaming). The cottage is located on a large property next to a 150-year-old, cape-style farmhouse surrounded by vegetable and flower gardens. Organic vegetables, eggs and honey are all produced on the property and can be purchased when available. Situated in Pond Village in North Truro, bay beaches are just a ten minute walk down historic Pond Road. A two minute walk brings you to the village general store and two cafes, one serving artisanal chocolates made on premises. Ocean beaches are only a ten minute bike ride away. A TV, DVD player and WiFi allow you to connect to the modern world. There is basic cable, and newly-installed Apple TV with Netflix and many other venues to watch. There is also a basement with a washer/dryer and on-site parking. The Owners, Rob and Janice, are gracious hosts, respectful of your privacy and there for anything you may need. Summer visits are full of breezes, and winter stays are warmed by a state-of-the art heating system installed in 2013. This is an ideal getaway at any season for two or three people.

We had a lovely weekend in the cabin and had a great time exploring Cape Cod. The location is perfect for going up and down the cape. Our hosts were gracious and gave us plenty of space. The space itself is very comfortable and clean with a very well stocked kitchen.

This cottage was perfect for our early spring getaway. It was cozy and charming and the book shelves were stocked with so many interesting titles. The bed is oh so comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were lovely with great reccomendations and we hope to return some day.

The cottage is so comfortable. It has everything you could want for a relaxing time away. It's quiet and tucked away and you can sit on the back porch to enjoy a little more space. Our hosts were very welcoming and available.

What a hidden gem! This little cottage is ideally situated for exploring the end of the Cape and offers a really scenic setting in nature (we visited at the end of May so everything was very lush and green). The inside of the cottage is super cozy and unique, especially if you enjoy farmhouse-style architecture. We especially enjoyed taking advantage of the screened porch and outdoor shower :) Lastly, the owners are very gracious and kind and even gave us fresh eggs from their chicken coop - thank you for your hospitality!!

When we arrived after sunset, the lights and heating were turned on to welcome us. It was a cozy place with plenty room for two or four people. Everything was cleaned and they have all kitchen ware, seasoning, and cooking ware ready for you! Over all a great stay!!

The cottage couldn't have been better. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for cooking meals and relaxing. The location is quiet and close to beaches, National Parks, P-Town, and interesting shops. The hosts are available if needed. Otherwise we were left to ourselves to relax. I can't recommend it enough.

This was a beautiful visit complete with hens, gladiolas, roses and pine trees. The cottage is private and lovely close to 2 beaches within walking distance- Cold Storage and Coast Guard. Janice and Rob are artists. They are quiet and wonderfully sweet people. Do go if you want serenity, a work space to write and quiet. Everything you need is there- very clean and well kept. The screened in porch is amazing.

We had a great five days in N Truro. The cottage was clean and cool, with great porch space and lovely hand drawn maps of local walks. It’s bikeable to P-town and walkable to a cute market and the Truro vineyard. I loved the filtered water tap on the sink :)

We had a wonderful stay at this hidden garden property. The house with it's french doors opening to the screened porch was perfect and very well stocked with everything you could need. It was the best of both worlds, a secluded garden property 5 minutes from the ocean. The outdoor shower was not only wonderful for after the beach but exhilarating first thing in the morning. Very importantly, we had a great night's sleep every night! Looking forward to our next visit!

This couldn’t have been a more perfect place for us. It is cozy, nestled in with the gardens & the chickens. It is clean, the kind of clean without a chemical or perfumed scent, just clean. It is equipped with all the essentials & then some: a variety of reading that could have fed us for weeks, hand drawn maps to get to lesser known hikes, thoughtful recommendations for restaurants & activities & the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. There is much attention to the right details that make this a deeply comfortable place to stay. And Rob & Janice are lovely hosts, quietly, warmly present & available without any intrusion. We will be back again soon!
