Nestled in Moncarapacho, this attractive house for $183 per night is a great option for your next break. Casa Monte Cabeça is a luxurious house in a traditional Algarve villa style. With a fine sense the Portuguese architectural style was brought under the workmanship of time-tested materials in line with today's demands for a house in the south of Europe. Tasteful furniture, colourful fabrics and selected accessories set beautiful accents in the interior. This very spacious villa offers a lot of comfort to its guests in the interior. The three bedrooms each have a large queen-size bed, built-in wardrobes and pedestal fans. Each of the rooms has direct access to one of the many patios. From all the rooms in the house, you can enjoy the view of lush greenery. Wooden shutters on all the windows are offered in summer for a pleasant room temperature, so that in the well-insulated house air conditioning can be deliberately avoided. Two elegantly tiled bathrooms are available for the guests, one of which is en suite in the master bedroom. Over the large hallway you enter in to the living area, which is divided into a kitchen and a living room. The two rooms are separated by a sliding glass door from each other. The fully equipped kitchen provides ample space and comfort to accommodate a family of 6. One dining table is there in the kitchen, another one is in the living room. The living room impresses with its high ceiling decorated with reed and large windows facing three different directions. From the comfortable leather couch you can either take a look into the romantic blazing furnace, or out into the beautiful garden, or focus on the big screen TV. Around the house are completely wide, tiled and partly covered patios, where any time of the day sun or shade can be found. They are lined with fragrant herbs, flowering shrubs as well as palm trees and birds of paradise. In between, you can see the Atlantic sparkling. Over the refreshing outdoor shower paths lead across the large grounds with its typical trees. Thanks to the idyllic quiet location of the house this is the ideal place to recharge your cells and recover from the stresses of everyday life. The jewel with its 17,500 m2 plot is situated in one of the many regions used for agriculture with small fruit and vegetable plantations, a few kilometres away from the lively town of Moncarapacho. Casa Monte Cabeça sits on a gentle hilltop and offers a 360° panoramic view, which can be enjoyed especially from the huge rooftop terrace. Towards north a broad valley dominates, at the end of which, the first hills of Serra rise up. Towards south the view sweeps over the evergreen coastal region and the vast Atlantic illuminates on the horizon alluringly. In between is the nature reserve of Ria Formosa, a large lagoon which is home to many rare species of flora and fauna. The offshore islands with their beautiful sandy beaches can be reached from the house in just 7-9 kilometres. From Fuseta there are ferries that ride in the summer months regularly to the island, behind Luz de Tavira the beach of Barril can be reached all year round on foot over a floating bridge or with a small little train.

All the information given online was what we found when we entered the surrounding and the house. The host was very kind and showed us the property and told us a little about the area. We had a great Spring break at the house and very much enjoyed the layout of the house, the convenience the kitchen and bathrooms offered but most of all the outdoor space.

Monte Cabeca is an amazing property. Even for well-travelled people, as is our case, this house beats many other properties (including 3+ star hotels) as far as value for money, overall quality, space, and available amenities. Superb host/managers who are not just kind, but attentive and responsive complete a very positive experience for us and our dog. Just be sure to have a car if you book this property, as this is a country house and the nearest store is 45 minutes on foot..

Entspannung in ländlicher Umgebung
Das Ferienhaus liegt ländlich auf einem großen baumbestandenen Anwesen ohne unmittelbare Nachbarschaft. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in 5 min mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Strände/ Fähren zu den Stränden der Ria Formosa und die größeren Orte Tavira und Olhao sind in 10/ 15 min erreichbar. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet mit allem was man an Geschirr und Haushaltsgeräten braucht (auch WLAN und Sat-TV). Rund um das Haus sind mehrere Terrassen, so dass man zwischen Sonnen- und Schattenplätzen wechseln kann. Von der Dachterrasse hat man einen weiten Rundumblick auf die Landschaft, das Meer und die Berge. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterfamilie Röver war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank für die Möglichkeit, uns in Ihrem Ferienhaus zu entspannen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

¡Cómo en casa!
Nos decidimos por esta casa después de leer todas las críticas tan buenas que tenía y acertamos. Sí, tienes que coger coche para comprar e ir a la playa (muy cerca), pero vale la pena porque es una casa llena de comodidades en un sitio perfecto. Incluso pudimos hacer rutas de running que pasaban por la zona.

We have to enfasize the ecological concern of the house, namely solar panels and the
fact that no air conditioning is needed due to the fantastic construction tipe and the beautiful doors and windows facing all directions.
And finally we have to mention the great simpathy of our host, Jens.
For sure, we will return to this house.

Local supermarket nearby, small but well stocked with excellent meat, less than 10 'from Fuseta and various beaches, including one allowing dogs and within walking distance depending on the low tide schedule ...

Schöner Urlaub
Wir waren begeistert von dem Haus, super gepflegt, sauber und einfach schön gemacht. Die Betreuung von Rövers ist sehr nett und perfekt. Leider konnten wir nicht so gut schlafen, da die vielen Hunde in der Nachbarschaft die ganze Nacht bellten. Ansonsten alles bestens!

Sehr schönes Haus, umgeben von Pfanzen, wie in einer Oase! Alles tipptopp sauber, aber „einsam“
Die Umgebung machte gleich auf uns den Eindruck eher verlassen zu sein, viele Ruienen auf dem Weg dorthin! Aber unser erster Eindruck bestätigte sich nur partiell.... es gibt wunderbare Häuser in der Nähe und Tavira ist ein beeindruckender Ort!!! Sehr positiv fanden wir auch, dass es wahrscheinlich 100 Möglichkeiten gibt ans Meer zu kommen;-)! Wir fuhren Wassertaxi, Bimmelbahn, Fähre.... an das andere Ende der Lagune! (75ct pro Erwachsenen)....
Zurück im Ferienhaus genossen wir die 3.5 untern Terassen, die Dachterasse (mega- groß) war uns zu sonnig im August!
Und wir haben fast jeden Abend gegrillt, wunderbar ;-)
Fischmarkt ist in 10min Entfernung, einkaufen auch!
Das Haus war mit ALLEM ausgestattet was wir brauchten (Toaster, herkömmliche Espresso Maschiene, Eierbecher, Siebe, Tuppa- Dosen, Staubsauger,... alles was wir irgendwie, irgendwann suchten war da!
Einen sehr subjektiven Punkt Abzug gibt es wirklich einzig und allein von mir (mein Mann hatte überhaupt kein Problem damit)....wegen der einsamen Lage... ;-(, sorry!

splendid isolation
Das Ferienhaus übertrifft die angezeigten Bilder und bietet dem Gast ein Zuhause abseits des eigenenen Zuhauses. Wir, Familie mit 2 Kindern, fühlten uns von der ersten Minuten wohl. Heidi und Jens Röver empfingen und herzlich und erklärten uns das Wenige erklärungsbedürftige. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Neben dem großen Grundstück mit Mandel-, Oliven und Johannisbrotbäume überzeugt insbesondere der 360 Ausblick von der Dachterasse hin zu Meer und Berge. Vom Haus aus erreicht man schnell Olhao und Tavira sowie über die Autobahn auch Spanien oder die Westalgarve. Wir und die Kinder hatten wirklich 2 erholsame Wochen. Das war ein großes Verdinest dieser wunderbaren Unterkunft.

Ruhiges Kandhaus
Wir verbrachten eine Woche in dem Landhaus. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet es fehlt an nichts. Es ist etwas abgelegen, jedoch für jemanden der Ruhe sucht ideal.

Schönste Tage an der Ostalgarve zur Erholung
Wir haben schon viele Häuser gemietet und dieses gehörte zu den Besten, was Sauberkeit und Einrichtung betrifft. Danke, Herr Rövers für den netten, unkomplizierten Empfang sowie Ihre äussert schnelle und pragmatische Hilfe als der Kühlschrank ausfiel! Alle Fotos stimmen, und es gibt wirklich nichts auszusetzen. So haben wir (viel zu) viel Zeit im Haus und dem schönen Garten mit Sicht auf die Umgebung verbracht. Ein Auto wird natürlich unbedingt benötigt, und man kann sehr schöne Ziele anfahren. Auch gibt es ganz gute Restaurants in Santa Luzia (Tintenfisch und Meeresfrüchte). Der Strand Praia do Barril ist unbedingt empfehlenswert.
Gerne kommen wir wieder, um uns hier verwöhnen zu lassen. Merci und ein lieber Gruß aus Zürich

Traumhaus!
Ich will mich kurzfassen und kann die abgegebenen Bewertungen nur bestätigen. Es ist wirklich ein Traumhaus! Die Beschreibungen können nur bedingt die Wohlfühlatmosphäre wiedergeben, die den Gast empfängt. Wir waren von dem Haus begeistert und haben eine wundervolle Zeit gehabt. Und wir haben den phantastischen Sonnenauf – und untergang auf der riesigen Terrasse genossen. Die Betreuung vor Ort ist sehr zuverlässig und von einer herzlichen Freundlichkeit.

das perfekte Ferienhaus für bis zu 6 Personen
Ich weiss gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll, denn normalerweise meckert man ja eher was nicht gut war, aber hier gibt es nichts zu meckern - die Lage auf einem kleinen Hügel, die hochwertige Bausubstanz, all die Sitzplätze ums Haus, der wunderschöne Garten, die Ruhe, gute Matratzen, es war Erholung pur und daher nicht einfach von dem Haus Abschied zu nehmen. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass wir im kommenden Jahr wieder da sein werden!

Traumhaus in herrlicher Natur
Wir haben zehn wundervolle Tage an der Ostalgarve verbracht. Das Ferienhaus, sehr gepflegt, sehr sauber, sehr geschmackvoll im traditionellen portugiesischen Stil, bietet alles was man für einen tollen Urlaub braucht. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Natur rings um das Gebäude, herrliche Ruhe und Entspannung pur.
Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten an den Stränden oder in den kleinen malerischen Orten.
Für uns war es ein perfekter Urlaub.
Vielen lieben Dank auch an das Verwalterehepaar, für die unkomplizierte und herzliche Betreung unseres Urlaubs von Anfang bis Ende.
Wir empfehlen das Feriendomizil zu hundert Prozent weiter, und werden sicherlich noch einmal die schönsten Tage des Jahres dort verbringen.

Geschmackvolles Haus mit unverbautem Rundumblick
Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel inmitten eines wunderschönen Grundstücks mit Palmen, Mandel-, -feigen und Olivenbäumen und einem fantastischen unverbauten Rundumblick. Da Haus ist umgeben von Terassen, so dass man sich je nach Sonnen- und Windstand den Sitzplatz aussuchen kann. Alles war in einem sehr gepflegten und sauberen Zustand. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und eingerichtet und mit allem was man benötigt ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Feriendomizil absolut empfehlen.

Wunderschöner Urlaub in Portugal
Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Wochen in dem Haus verbracht. Alles war wie beschrieben, wir fanden das Haus und den Garten tatsächlich noch schöner als auf den Fotos! Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und sauber, der Kontakt zu den Hausverwaltern vor Ort super nett und wir würden Haus definitiv weiter empfehlen. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist wie zu Hause, wir haben nichts vermisst.
Das Haus liegt etwas im Hinterland in sehr schöner Umgebung, von Nachbarn ist nicht zu sehen. Wer diese Einsamkeit so wie wir schätzt, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Damit ist der nächste Supermarkt in 5 Minuten zu erreichen.

Für uns ein Traumhaus
Für unsere Familie, Eltern mit drei Kindern im Alter von 17, 14 und 10 plus Hund,, war dieses Haus ein Traum. Genügend Platz für alle, genug Raum, um sich aus dem Weg zu gehen, aber auch ausreichend Platz, um alle an einem Ort zu versammeln. Alles war sehr sauber, gepflegt und entsprach absolut den Beschreibungen. Die Küche war bestens ausgestattet, Bettwäsche und Handtücher standen reichlich zur Verfügung. Ein bisschen aufpassen musste man, nicht allzu viele Ameisen anzulocken, aber auch das stellte kein wirkliches Problem da. Wir haben die Ruhe genossen, die Sonne, den Schatten, die Aussicht ins Land, auf die Hügel, aber auch die Aussicht, bis auf´s Meer. Die Dachterrasse hatte eine starke Anziehungskraft. Auch die Stauden- und Palmenbepflanzung rund um die Terrasse war beeindruckend schön. Egal, auf welcher Seite des Hauses man sich aufhielt, jede Seite hatte ihren Reiz. Für die Kinder hätte man das Ganze nur noch mit einem Pool toppen können. Im Juli konnte man das riesige Grundstück nicht wirklich ausnutzen, da der Boden erwartungsgemäß sehr trocken und stachelig durch vertrocknete Diesteln war. Aber aufgrund der Größe dieses Grundstücks war auch die Ruhe gewährleistet. Unser Hund hat den stacheligen Boden nur ausnahmsweise betreten, und so war es überhaupt kein Problem, ihn auch mal nicht im Blick zu haben. Sehr entspannt. Da wir mit dem Auto angereist waren, war die Fortbewegung kein Problem. Ohne Auto geht´s aber vermutlich nicht. Bis zu diversen, tollsten Stränden zu kommen, dauerte es, mit Auto, keine halbe Stunde. Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren gut zu erreichen. Strände weiter im Westen, schöne kleine Städtchen, der Flughafen und Wanderstrecken weiter im Landesinneren waren leicht und in relativ kurzer Zeit zu erreichen. Dank einer guten Anfahrtsbeschreibung haben wir unser Domizil ohne Schwierigkeiten gefunden. Wir wurde vom Verwalter sehr herzlich empfangen und betreut. Wir würden jederzeit ausgesprochen gerne wiederkommen und das Objekt auch weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten zwei wirklich tolle Wochen!

Schönes Haus in guter Lage
Wir waren mit dem Haus sehr zufrieden und können uns gut vorstellen, es noch einmal zu buchen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Lage ist - jedenfalls für uns- ideal. Sowohl Olhao als auch Tavira sind über kleine Landstraßen relativ schnell zu erreichen. Das große Grundstück ist schön und gepflegt.
Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die "Rundumterrasse" und die Dachterrasse. Ein Sonnenplatz oder eine geschützte Sitzmöglichkeit am Abend sind also immer zu finden.
Die Betreuung durch das Ehepaar Röver war freundlich und gut. Alles hat prima geklappt!

Angaben im Online-Inserat waren korrekt, der Zustand des Hauses ist perfekt (sauber, sehr gepflegt, zweimalige automatische Bewässerung der Pflanzen täglich).
Der Rundumblick von der Dachterrasse ist wahrlich grandios.
Erwähnenswert auch die in der Küche vorhandene Espressomaschine (für die Kaffeeliebhaber).
Wir würden das Haus jedenfalls weiterempfehlen.
Im nächstgelegenen Ort Moncarapacho netter Hauptplatz mit kleinen, aber feinen Restaurants.

Viel Raum, viel Sicht, viel Ruhe - viel Erholung!
Wunderschön gelegene geräumige Villa mit großem Garten und herrlicher Rundumsicht. Das Haus hat sehr hohe Decken, was ein wunderbares Raumgefühl vermittelt. Die Einrichtung ist überaus geschmackvoll, die Küche lässt praktisch keine Wünsche offen (Herd, Spülmaschine, Entsafter (Orangen!!), grosse Arbeitsflächen etc.). Alles sehr sauber.
Die Aussenbereiche laden zum Verweilen ein: da es in allen Himmelsrichtungen reichlich Platz gibt, kann man praktisch immer in der Sonne (oder eben im Schatten) verweilen. Auch das begehbare Dach lädt sehr zu einem späten Wein ein... :-)
Die Strände erreicht man in gut 10 min mit dem PKW (ein PKW ist ein MUSS!).
Es lassen sich herrliche Ausflüge machen von der West-Algarve bis nach Spanien.

Ein Ferienhaus zum Wohlfühlen!
Ein wunderschönes, geschmackvoll ausgestattetes, liebevoll eingerichtetes und gepflegtes Landhaus in einer ländlichen Umgebung abseits vom touristischen Trubel, das sehr schnell zu einem Zuhause wird. Sowohl die Beschreibung als auch die Fotos entsprechen den Tatsachen. Besonders faszinierend ist der Rundumblick von der Dachterrasse. Mit einem Auto, das unerläßlich ist, allein schon wegen der vielen Ausflugsziele, erreicht man die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Strände innerhalb von 10-15 Minuten. Im Haus findet man Informationsmaterial über Restaurants, Strände, Supermärkte, Sehenswertes etc. vom Vermieter und dem Verwalterehepaar aufbereitet. Wir hatten einen erholsamen Urlaub in einer Region, die Lust auf Mehr/Meer gemacht hat. A&U
