The perfect spot for a family holiday!

Kim had turned on the bedroom heaters for our arrival as it was later than expected. The house was warm, cosy and super welcoming! Everything was clean and organised which I love. Another beautiful stay at Lake Haven over the 2023 Easter weekend. It has everything you could want for a family holiday and more!

An exceptionally amazing house and experience, I highly recommend it to anyone going to Rotorua.

Everything about this house was exceptional. It's a really cool 70's style house that opens to a fabulous view of the rear yard and lake, which is only a few feet away. There was an outdoor dining table, fireplace and grill that we used the first night for a wonderful dinner. Had the weather been better, we would have used the kayaks! They even provided beach towels! The rooms and bedding were extremely comfortable (crisp hotel sheets), everything was well stocked, well thought out for guests. The host lives right next door, so it was easy to ask questions or get anything we needed. There was a notebook filled with useful information about aspects of the house, where to buy groceries, things to do and see. Really well organized. We cannot say enough great things about this stay, I stay in Booking.com properties all over the world, and this is one at the very top of my list. Thank you for the bottle of wine and a wonderful stay!

Beautiful location. Very clean. Comfortable beds with very nice sheets and bedding. Shamppo/conditioner and body wash provided (although we had our own). Well equipped kitchen and laundry. Nice shower. Firewood and outdoor furniture provided, loved sitting outside under the stars enjoying the fire. QGood information provided in folder. The wine and honey was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Was good to know we could contact the hosts for help although there was good information provided so we didn't need to contact them.

Not much, was great overall. If I had to choose something, bathroom fan would have been good as mirror could not be used for a while after shower. Did make up in bedroom one day but could have done with a little table under the mirror to put my makeup on. Mirror in second room too low and something for a bedside table would have been good in that room, perhaps one of those C shaped tables that fit under sofa or bed and can be moved around.

It was well presented and very organised. I loved the fact that the lake was just there, and the blackout curtians are amazing!! There is no need to rush to the store for certain things as there is a handful of products ready for your use! So considerate. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolute bliss

We arrived in the dark and when we opened the curtains in the morning and saw the view, WOW! (Especially since it was 6am and there was an amazing thunder and lightning show going on over the lake) This holiday home was so much better than having to book two separate rooms in a hotel and not have any shared space. We had a beautiful outdoor area to look out at the lake while having a BBQ lunch. Rooms are good sizes, beds are comfy, well equipped kitchen (although we couldn't find the fire lighter we went and bought one and discovered it hanging by the fireplace only five minutes after getting back with one - LOL!). There are kayaks for the energetic and books for the not so outdoor minded and board games for the evenings.

All the comforts of home and more!!

My little family had an incredible stay at Lake Haven. We had absolutely everything we needed for our holiday. House was clean and tidy when we arrived. Kim was so accommodating and welcoming when we met her. We felt at home straight away and most importantly the beds were super comfy😁

Wonderful location, picture perfect view. Teenagers loved the kayaks and we didn't mind the rain. Very well-equipped holiday home which had everything we needed; so well thought out with many extras. The honey and wine were a lovely welcoming touch. We had a fantastic time!

Need to keep your eyes peeled for the driveway.

Hoping to get back again soon

Walking into a warm clean house on a winters day. The Welcome gift and a posy of flowers in a vase, unexpected and delightful. Inside and outside fires with good dry wood, my dog appreciated the warmth, fresh clean linens and a home away from home feel. I paddled the kayaks and caught 2 trout, highly recommend!!

We had the most relaxing time and were all so sad to leave. Definitely an unforgettable holiday.

Lake Haven is right beside the lake in such a picturesque, peaceful location. The house was wonderfully clean and homely, with beautiful linen and so many extra features we were all so impressed. Why would you stay at some clinical motel when you can stay at this beautiful Haven. Thank-you Kim and Aaron for this wonderful family memory.

Hidden Paradise

Wow never stayed on this side of the lake and won’t stay on the city side ever again! Lake front, woofie friendly, fire place and outdoor one to boot. Loved it!

As I’m a huge sports head, no sky tv was my only complaint…and it’s not really a complaint maybe an add on for the future…or a chromcast for sports folk like myself.

Lakeside perfection

Amazing absolute lakefront location with dock and private beach & lovely discreet welcome from hosts who warmed and lit the house in advance as we arrived late on a chilly winter evening. Log fire 🔥 for heat and ambiance, Kayaks , and retro Lockwood style. Peaceful and silent .
