About this house rental
Situated in Caniço, this charming house for $151 per night is a great choice for your next trip. The hotel also has 2 floors with 160 sqm of living space available. We offer a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and double bed 2x2 m, about 30 square meters. Another bedroom with double bed 2x1,80m 20 sqm and a smaller bedroom with double bed 1,50x 1,90m about 15 square meters. All rooms have sea views and are tastefully furnished but discreetly. Each features new mattresses, spacious built-in closets, a small table and chairs to relax. On this floor there is another bathroom with tub. The lower floor offers the access to the garden with pool and 36 sqm terrace with sun protection. A barbecue is at your disposal. Furthermore, on this level is a spacious living / dining room, a spacious kitchen with dishwasher, a washing machine and another separate toilet. The rental price depends on the number of people. The living room can be heated in winter with two large wall radiators.

The house is very spacious and fully equipped. Everything you can think of is available. Besides that the view is magnificent. It is comfortable, quiet and the perfect location to explore the very beautiful island.
The owner is helpful and easy to reach when necessary. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfectly located, nicely equipped with a gorgeous view on the ocean, whirlpool after a long hike is a great asset, very good communication with owner (lots of good recommendations) - we’ll be definitely back!

This villa was a wonderful choice for 5 friends to spend time in Madeira and to get away from the snow in Canada. The weather in February was a little disappointing but the villa had all amenities to keep us happy. The pool was too cold for us old ones while we were there but would be lovely in warmer, drier weather. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking but we did very little catering for ourselves as we ate out in the restaurants around Madeira. There was plenty of space to spread out and socialize in the common areas.
Udo kept in touch with us on WhatsApp before the trip answering our questions and was at the villa to meet us when we arrived and made us all feel very welcome. There was fresh fruit and drinks as a welcome basket. Udo even gave us a trip around Caniço to show us the shopping areas and restaurants.
Garajau is a short 12 mins ride to Funchal on a fast road. We often used a taxi. With our rental car we explored the whole beautiful island. It is an easy 5 min drive to the motorway from the villa where you can travel all around Madeira island.
The villa is beautiful, gardens neat and colourful. And the view over the Ocean is unbelievable. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future to experience more of Madeira and its hospitality. Thanks Udo for making your villa available to us.

Amazing villa. Only five of us. The villa is massive and well equipped and could sleep ten comfortably. Great host, no hesitation in recommending this property.
There is a small street of restaurants and supermarkets a fifteen minute walk away. If you want to travel further afield a car is essential.

Stunning and spacious property with amazing views in a nice location
The property is huge, clean, has great views of the Atlantic Ocean. Restaurants and shops nearby in the town (walking distance) and also only a 15 minute drive to Funchal.
The host, Udo, was very helpful, friendly, and communicative.

Würde am liebsten gar nichts sagen. Damit wir nicht NOCH mehr Mitbewerber um dieses Schmuckkästchen haben. Das wäre aber dem lieben Udo gegenüber höchst unfair. Also: Muss man wirklich noch mehr sagen? Ich denke nicht.

Wir haben 13 entspannte sowie angenehme Tage im Haus verbracht und uns dabei jederzeit wohl, angekommen und zu Hause gefühlt. Lage und Standort sind für einen Madeiraurlaub perfekt - sowohl für den fußläufig/ per Seilbahn erreichbaren Strand, die Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf oder für Wanderungen, die mit Mietwagen angefahren werden. Nach Funchal oder zum Flughafen geht es bequem mit Bus oder Taxi. Sehr angetan waren wir von der Großzügigkeit, der Stille und dem Weitblick übers Meer bis zum Horizont. Dabei kann den ganzen Tag die Sonne genossen werden, bis sie je nach Jahreszeit hinter einem Berg oder im Meer versinkt.
Udo hat uns in Ruhe ankommen lassen, hat wertvolle Tipps gegeben und war immer für uns erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Übernahme und Rückgabe erfolgten problemlos. Pool, Garten und Haus (also alles) waren sehr sauber sowie äußerst liebevoll gepflegt.
Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche aus.
Kurzum: Unterkunft und Udo sind nicht zu toppen!

Einfach perfekt!
Wir durften 11 Nächte in diesem super schönen Haus verbringen. Die Lage ist einfach ideal, um rasch sowohl auf den Pico Ariero als auch die Halbinsel und in den Nordosten der Insel (die Gegend um Santana) zu gelangen. Udo ist ein super Gastgeber, nett, unkompliziert und mit vielen Tips für die Insel. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld der Reise, sowie vor Ort war bereits so, als würde man sich schon lange kennen. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Traumhaftes Anwesen perfekt zur Erholung
Die Ferienwohnung in Garajau ist ein perfekter Ort zur Erholung, wobei Ferienwohnung untertrieben und Anwesen eher die richtige Beschreibung ist.
Mit 3 Etagen und insgesamt 4 Schlafzimmern, mehreren Bädern, 2 Wohnzimmern und immer perfektem Meerblick ist mehr als genung Raum vorhanden, auch um als Familie entspannt zu verreisen.
Der gepflegte Garten mit Pool im Zusammenhang mit dem in der Regel perfekten Wetter an der Südküste Madeiras hat einen Nachteil: es fällt schwer Touren auf der Insel zu machen, da man sich bereits im Garten bei Sonnenschein sehr gut erholen kann.
Die Verkehrsanbindung ist perfekt, wenige Minuten zur Autobahn, knapp 15 Minuten ins Zentrum von Funchal, Apotheke, Supermarkt, zahlreiche Restaurants und Cafes in Fußweite...
Und natürlich nicht zu vergessen, die sehr freundlichen und immer sehr gut erreichbaren Vermieter.

A great house with even greater views of the ocean
Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners who are very friendly and helpful.
Let me start by saying that the pictures do not make this place justice.
The house is huge and the bedrooms are spread over 2 floors. The living room is on the lower level leading to the outside area with a small pool.
I spent a lot of hours watching the ocean from the windows, having dinner alfresco, from the sofa, etc. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room to prepare your meals.
The jacuzzi on the top level with views to the ocean/stars is just great to relax and forget about the coronavirus craziness.
Bar, restaurants and Garajau beach are just about 10-15 min walk from the villa.
We will definitely come back and thanks for having us.

Herrliches Urlaubsdomizil mit Traum-Meerblick
Wir haben hier einen wunderbaren Madeiraurlaub erlebt. Die großzügige Terasse mit schönem Garten und Pool zum Abfrischen nach unseren zahlreichen Unternehmungen hat uns begeistert. Das Haus selbst mit seinen großen Schlaf- und Wohnräumen, seiner sehr guten Ausstattung, der ruhigen Lage und dem Traum-Meerblick garantiert einen erholsamen und unbeschwerten Urlaub. Canico-Garajau ist als Ausgangsort für viele Unternehmungen der ideale Ort, egal ob für Wanderungen, Strandtage oder Sightseeing in der Stadt.
Auch die Vermieter, Anja und Udo Wagner, waren jederzeit für Fragen und Tipps erreichbar. Ganz besonders möchten wir uns coronabedingt für die Unterstützung im Vorfeld unserer Reise bedanken.

Herrliches Ferienhaus, perfekte Vermieter
Das Ferienhaus von Familie Wagner ist sehr modern und komfortabel gestaltet. Die Ausstattung ist von A - Z perfekt und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die großzügigen Räume bieten viel Platz, sind wunderschön eingerichtet und in den Bädern gibt es genug Ablageflächen und Aufhängemöglichkeiten. Der Garten mit Blick aufs Meer, Pool und herrlichen Pflanzen ist ein Traum! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und absolut perfekt, um sich zu erholen und Ruhe zu genießen. Trotzdem sind sowohl Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in kurzer Distanz erreichbar.
Familie Wagner kümmert sich überaus freundlich um alle Anliegen und versorgt Haus und Gäste super professionell. Wir hatten trotz Erdbeben und Corona-Krise einen tollen Urlaub und möchten gerne wiederkommen.

Traumhafte Villa
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Haus bietet einen wundervollen Ausblick und die Sonnenuntergänge die wir vom Whirlpool aus genießen konnten waren einfach atemberaubend. Das Haus ist top top gepflegt, es fehlte uns an nichts und wir haben uns, auch Dank der lieben Begrüßung seitens Anja und Udo, sofort wohl gefühlt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Besser geht es nicht. Traumurlaub in einem Traumhaus
Wir wurden freundlich und herzlich empfangen. Bei einem erfrischenden Willkommensgetränk wurde uns das Haus gezeigt und noch ein paar Tipps für mögliche Ausflüge gegeben. Es ist alles sehr sauber und man fühlt sich in den schönen Räumen sofort wohl! Ein Traum ist der Meerblick aus allen Räumen und von der Terrasse.

Super-Ferienhaus mit traumhaftem Meerblick
Wir haben uns in dem wunderschönen Ferienhaus rundum wohl gefühlt. Es ist in ruhiger Lage in einer Sackgasse, hat großzügige Räume, eine hervorragende Ausstattung, super bequeme Betten (erstklassige Matratzen) und traumhaften Meerblick aus allen Fenstern und von der großen Gartenterrasse. Im Pool kann man sich herrlich erfrischen. Alles ist sehr gepflegt, und die Vermieter sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben nichts vermisst oder entbehrt, das Haus bietet alles für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und haben schon den nächsten Aufenthalt gebucht.

Unbeschreiblich schön..... (13.07. - 27.07.2019)
Schon die Darstellung des Hauses über die Plattform ließ auf ein tolles und wunderschönes Objekt hoffen. Doch nachdem wir angekommen sind, übertraf die "Realität" wirklich alles. Ein wunderschönes, super sauberes und riesengroßes Haus in einer perfekten Lage. Dieser Blick vom Garten aus auf den Atlantik ist unbeschreiblich. Der Pool wunderbar zur Abkühlung. Wir können wirklich sagen, dass wir in so einem Ferienhaus noch nie gewohnt haben. Wenn wir könnten, würden wir 100 Punkte vergeben!!!
Herr und Frau Wagner waren stets bemüht, uns Tipps und sehr nützliche Ratschläge rund um die Insel zu geben. Es fehlte an überhaupt nichts, wir haben uns "pudelwohl" gefühlt.
Madeira selber ist sehr schön und alles, was man sich anschauen möchte, ist gut zu erreichen. Wir sind keine Wanderer, haben aber Halbtagesausflüge gemacht und uns alles angeschaut, was wir interessant fanden. Hier hilft auf jeden Fall vorher, ein Reiseführer zu studieren (haben Familie Wagner aber auch im Ferienhaus ausliegen). Besonders hervorzuheben ist die portugiesische Küche, welche uns in den zwei Wochen bestimmt jeweils zwei kg eingebracht hat. Toller Kaffee, tolle Kuchen und tolles Essen!
Man kann ohne zu Zögern dieses Haus auf dieser Insel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wir haben manchmal im Garten gestanden und uns gefragt: "Hörst Du das?" Eben nichts, kein Lärm, Und doch ist Funchal nicht weit, wenn man mal die Abwechslung in Madeiras größter Stadt sucht.

Wundervoller Urlaub auf Madeira
Wir waren mit unserem 12 jährigem Sohn das erste Mal auf Madeira in diesem luxuriösem Haus und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet und zwei Bäder sind einfach klasse. Die Schlüsselübergabe und die Kommunikation mit Familie Wagner war hervorragend. FH liegt sehr ruhig und ideal für Ausflüge auf der Insel. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz, ist gut eingerichtet und hat einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer.

Urlaub mit hohem Wohlfühlfaktor
Die Insel ist ein Traum für Naturliebhaber und Wanderfreunde. So auch für uns. Die Kommunikation mit den Wagners war bereits vor unserer Anreise schon vorbildlich. Bei Ankunft am Flughafen ein Telefonat und wir wurden später sehr freundlich im Haus vom Frau Wagner empfangen. Ein Traum, dieser Blick dort auf das Meer!!! Das Haus liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Anlage und ist besonders sauber, gepflegt, groß und ausgesprochen gut eingerichtet. Wir haben jeden Moment dort genossen! Die Wiederkehr ist garantiert.

Großzügiges und sehr gepflegtes Ferienhaus mit spektakulärem Ausblick
Das Haus besticht schon durch den weiten Blick über das Meer aus dem sehr großen Wohnzimmer und von der schönen Terrasse. Der Zustand des Hauses ist ebenso hervorragend wie die durchdachte Ausstattung, die uns nichts vermissen ließ. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Ferienhaus- und Wohngegend, trotzdem sind einige ordentliche Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieter ist vorbildlich, sollten Sie das Haus mieten, hören Sie auf die Tipps. Kurz: Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!

Bestes Panorama und wunderbare Stille
Wir waren 4 Wochen hier. Es war eine wunderbare Zeit. Das Haus läßt keine Wünsche offen. Es ist sehr ansprechend und modern ausgestattet .
Morgens geht die Sonne im Osten auf und begleitet uns bis zum herrlichen Sonnenuntergang. Aber auch die freundliche Unterstützung der Familie Wagner und Ihre Tipps waren sehr hilfreich und angenehm.
Kleinere Einkäufe und Restaurantskann man zu Fuss erreichen. In 15 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in Funchal.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.
