Casa Tortuga villa is a five bedroom villa with a one bedroom guest house adjacent to the villa, for a total of six bedrooms. The pale pink villa is two stories, with five large arches and 60 foot long verandas on each floor. The upper level has two very large bedrooms with king canopy beds. The beach level has three additional canopy beds, and a large lanai around the pool.
The beach has a giant chess set from Neiman Marcus. The King and Queen in the chess set are three feet tall, which makes the game a lot of fun. Our pool is the largest private pool in Belize, with an eight foot high bronze horse fountain from Versailles. At one end of the pool is a booth for 'in pool' dining. We also have 250 feet of beach front, on the Caribbean Sea. Our beach is the longest of any villa in San Pedro.
The guest house has a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. It also has a jacuzzi tub, and a roof garden, where you can see all over the island.
Our cook and her assistant prepare three delicious meals for our guests each day. We have a breakfast china, a luncheon china, and two different patterns for dinner, which she alternates. Our cook, Maria, also uses linen napkins at all meals, and crystal stemware at dinner. Her meal presentations are truly exceptional, as well as her floral centre pieces for the villa.
Guides will pick you up at our private dock for activities and excursions. On the evening of your arrival, our guide, Carlos, will come over to the villa after dinner, when everyone is together, and tell you about the activities available in the area.

The location was good and the house was as pictured. The beds are comfortable and the daily cleaning and fresh towels was nice. The highlight is definitely Haydee and the food! Unfortunately for us, sargassum was an issue but from what I understand that’s been a big problem in many areas this year and they were working on it while we were there along with a new sea wall. The wind was good to keep the bugs at bay but some evenings it was a bit strong. Carlos and his crew for snorkel and boat tours were amazing. We had a group of 3 couples and one with a birthday and they decorated the kitchen and made sure his day was extra special. The bedrooms have AC but the kitchen and living room do not. The stairs to get to the kitchen are only outside so if you’re staying in one of the downstairs bedrooms and you have a bad weather day, you may need a raincoat or umbrella to go eat or get coffee. Overall we had a great time and I would suggest that you do your research on the weather and sargassum prior to booking.

Haydee and her team were incredible, as was the house and experience! Traveled with my whole family (ages ranging from 30 to 92) and everyone had a fantastic experience. The meals were unbelievable and Haydee was extremely accommodating to any dietary restrictions. We would absolutely go back!One thing to note, the stairs were a bit difficult for my grandmother so if you are traveling with somebody that has mobility issues, keep that in mind!

This property is amazing. The house is a one of a kind in Belize. All of the small details made it a very unique property. Haydee and her staff went above and beyond to ensure all your needs and meals exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend using Carlos to coordinate all your excursions. Such a nice touch to have him come to you and sit down and coordinate anything that you wanted to do. Also, Haydee was able to have our golf carts waiting on us when we arrived. Property was definitely a 10/10.

The whole house is beautifully decorated using mahogany. Location is very convenient to town. We loved the house. The landscaping is filled with flowers. Every meal Haydee and her 2 staff cooked was outstanding. You can easily work with them on times and choices at reasonable cost. They took care of rooms perfectly. Haydee makes things run smoothly. Great ladies. Carlos (per host) will come first night to help with tours. We had a fantastic snorkel tour to Hol Chan by him. Don't recommend Hula Hut close by south of the villa..overpriced. Drinks not great but cute tiki glasses. Pool was beautiful and well enjoyed. Beware sargassam is thick and everywhere. Wind will effect smell but it can be strong. Decaying fumes will tarnish silver jewelry instantly so don't bring any. Go to Secret Beach Mistico for a fabulous day on the beach. Little fish to swim with. We did rent better golf carts right away as we didn't like the ones the host recommended. Lots of speed bumps and pot holes. Especially since you need a really good one for the ride to Secret Beach. All carts are definitely not the same. We used Tsunami, also Coconuts and One Love are good. 45/day final cost. All deliver and pick up at the villa. Blue Water Grill was a favorite. Haydee will suggest good places. If she doesn't know about it don't go.
