the spectacular loft apartment 'La Bellavista' is located on the 1st floor of 'Casa Acacia', an old farm house that may also be rented as a complete 3BR/2BA house. it has lots of charm and its own more then 350 years of history. It is actually the oldest house of 5. More than 55 sqm offer plenty of space for up to 4 persons.

Step into the large living-room with a dining corner and a wood oven in the old open fireplace. There is also double sofa bed (for children only/extra charge). The small kitchen is fully equipped (4 electric hobs, oven, fridge, American & Italian coffee maker, electric water kettle, toaster etc.) and has a small dining table. the cosy bedroom (with 2 single orthopaedic springs and memory foam topped mattresses) is spacious and has a ceiling fan, mosquito screens as well as inner shutters. the bathroom with its sauna-type layout has a particular flair (bidet, hairdryer)

Specials/extra offers: 4 course welcome dinner on Saturday arrival night, 3D archery ranges and lessons, flint knapping courses, wild herbs picking (spring and autumn time), shiatsu massages, small farm shop with home-made goodies

When planing your trip take in consideration that due to our perfect location, most important sights can be easily reached within 1 hours drive. So no need to to additional bookings, everything is within reach.

Also please dont forget to leave some space for one of the many activities: concerts, horseback riding, free range 3D archery (also lessons), hiking or biking on 7 roundtrip trails or a day on the pilgrims road Via Romeo, that passes the property. or simply pass an evening with some newfound friends. An unforgettable experience may also be the participation in the lavender harvest - mid July or olive picking - beginning of November.

The building was constructed with quarrystones by the farmers when clearing woodlands and macchia slopes to prepare land for vineyards and olive groves, stones that traditionally were use for building houses or terrassed-walls. Its original use was as hayloft for the below housed sheep and goats.
Prove of this give the typical imposing loft ceiling that seems to flow above. The old staircase and doors sills of local grey sandstone are trodded down by thousands of feet that passed them within the last few hundred of years.

28 years ago 'Bellavista' underwent a general restoration but was always retouched in the passing years. the typical Tuscan structure of old oak beam ceilings and terracotto floors remained intentionally untouched. All rooms are handpainted in the typical warm colours of a Tuscan country home : shades of yellow, orange and green. this and some pieces of typical 'arte povera' furnitures give you the feeling of living in an ambiente of ...once upon the time ....

Enjoy the sunset in complete silence from your very private courtyard terrace equipped with garden furniture and sunbeds as well as a built bbq. Gaze onto the extended gardens, the romantic creek and the surrounding maddows and vast macchia covered hills of this private property of more than 76 ha.

Start your hiking and biking directly from your doorsteps on 7 well marked trails. Or simply take a stroll on our meditation trail along the small creek with its waterfalls, walk up to the waterlily pond. And 3 ranges expect the Robin Hood amongst you.

Or take a dip in the large community swimming pool that you share with very few other guests (5,5x12x1,50m and 2x3m splashpool entrance platform for the smallest, ). During cooler months you may use my private pool house (unheated water)

The extended leisure areas and well-cared gardens of more then 2 ha , equipped with garden furniture, the children's playground with soccer field, ping-pong table, playhouse are the pride of the German owners. Cascades of flowers, citrus bushes as well as the surrounding meadows with many rare types of orchids and wild herbs create the unforgettable image of a lost paradise..

Animated is this small paradise by various cats, 2 free-roaming well-behaved dogs (1 male, 1 female), a picturesque small herd of cameron sheep, chicken, geese, ducks, pigeons and more. Stunning the variaty of birds and butterflies as well as fireflies. And with a bit of patience one may also see wild boars, deer and roe deer, foxes, and porcupines as well as the rare Tuscan eagle that breeds in our valley.

The housing complex is surrounded by grass, gravel - as well as terracotta paved walks and stairs which join the different levels with their romantic porches and apartments. Several natural quarry stone terraces with solitary trees like cypresses, acacia, pine and oak trees are leading to the small creek where the real wild nature begins.

Admire the increditable variaty if wild flowers. amazing the spectacle of fireflies in late May and June, the rare songs of the our numerous nightingales and the concert of hundreds of birds in the morning and evening. Because of its privacy and our efforts this is still a rare paradise - and only minutes from the next town center !!!
