We had a lovely time at this property. The location is spectacular and the layout of the home was great. I loved the open kitchen and was happily surprised there was a keurig in addition to the coffee pot. I was very impressed that the beds were so comfortable. This house is nearly perfect, but is in desperate need of a deep clean and some minor maintenance. There were light bulbs out, the pantry door fell off when we arrived, and the carpet threshold into the living room is held together with duct tape. I didn't really mind this because of the location and layout, but with a little more care this place could be amazing.

Great time all around. We have stayed here quiet a few times, and still like the layout and the air conditioner. We love the location right next to the river..
Things could be kept up a little better. Barbecue, large kitchen glasses which seem to get fewer every year. Some shades are broken too. Couch in Living Area is very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. All in all, we still love the place, just wish for some more upkeep.

We go to Sunriver every year for the last 20 years and this is the first time we’ve stayed in the same house as the previous year. We had such a great experience last year and had a great time this year as well. Everything listed is true including how close the property was to the river. We have two e-bikes and enjoyed all the trails that we ventured on. I must recommend the river loop trail. Lights outside didn’t work. Light in the hot tub didn’t work. But, both minor and didn’t ruin our stay. We would rent this place again.

Location of the property is excellent near the river/woods. Lots of bikes and well-equipped kitchen. Some people do not like the soft master bed but there are other options in the home. The house could use some maintenance.

The home is very nice. Beds and furniture. Are very comfortable. The kitchen has all of the necessary items to prepare your meals. There were a few basic seasonings in the cupboard but there are no basic staples like foil, plastic wrap or baggies for storing left overs.
The SHARC passes were awesome but make note that the outdoor aquatic center is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day. The bicycles are very nice and so is the ping pong table. However, the paddles are way beyond their useful life.
The carpet could use some repair and a thorough cleaning. The master shower could have been cleaner but I’m pretty picky about that.
All that being said, we had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay there again!

The property is secluded and tidy. The hot tub, jacuzzi, bikes, and other amenities made for an ideal experience. The big kitchen, cleanliness, and large back porch added to the enjoyment.

Overall experience was great. The house is spacious, nice patio and backyard. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The location is perfect. The only concern - the floor in the kitchen and dining area was dirty. Since we were staying with a crawling toddler the floor cleanliness was important.

The house was very clean, easy entry/exit and overall size, layout was fine. However there were several things we did not find optimal. The blinds were difficult to operate and a couple of them did not work, even after following detailed instructions (they shouldn't be so complicates as to need instructions). Kitchen amenities were adequate for our quick stay but seemed sparse if we intended to cook decent meals. The biggest drawback was the king size bed. The mattress was so extremely firm that we couldn't sleep on it. We were forced to use one of the smaller rooms with a smaller bed. Slept well in that one but very disappointing we had to give up the beautiful large master bedroom. Not idea or expected for a nice vacation getaway.

Spring Break Getaway
Location was great, home was clean and cozy. The fireplace was a nice touch, especially since we experienced a couple days of snow during our visit. Additionally, the kitchen was very well equipped, with literally everything we needed to prepare meals. All home instructions were posted and easy to follow. It really was perfect for our family of four to enjoy the sights, of which many were within short driving distance. Loved the blue chairs (super comfortable and cozy in front of the fire)!

this is a nice 3 bedroom ranch home. very clean and comfortable beds. we loved the location near the bridge across the Descheutes River. Close to the trails along the river. the kitchen was clean but could use some more equipment. Drip Coffee maker could use an update. rental agency was great in repairing a crib that we rented and providing a large pot for the kitchen. all in all a very nice place.

Nice stay
This is a nice home with all the amenities necessary to enjoy the Sunriver paths, river and forest nearby. Home is as listed and well equipped. Although it needs a little maintenance, it is a comfortable and super convenient home with many bikes for group rides. Thanks for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Whistling Swan. The house was clean, comfortable, quiet and adequately equipped for vacation cooking. The location is near Cardinal Bridge so if you want to be near the village, this is 2+ miles away. Sunset Lodging was great to work with. One thing to note is that the address given is not posted anywhere, so look for the house with the number 2 on it. While there, we enjoyed biking the paths, visiting Elk Lake and Suttle Lake, hiking Big Obsidian Flow and white water rafting. Bend is a great place for eating, shopping and pub-crawling if interested. Sisters is further away and is a cute town but touristy. There are lots of other places to visit too. This is a good place to vacation for all ages.

Although the place was clean, in a great location and had a hot tub, the master bed was like sleeping on a rock. I was so looking forward to a comfy place for three nights but to be honest, I couldn't wait to get out of that bed. Although it had many pluses, I won't be returning to this place because of the bed alone.
