About this cottage rental

Located in Hastings Highlands, this attractive cottage for $133 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. A year round, A year round cottage located in the country side that is available to be rented by the weekend, or the week. This rustic cottage is conveniently situated on Hwy 523 in Madawaska, Ontario. Located 3.5 hours north east from Toronto, situated on a one acre property sits a white cottage that is approximately 900 sqft, 3 bedrooms, living room with a TV and dvd player, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with tub and shower, and a mud room. There is plenty of parking for your vehicles, snowmobiles, atv's, trailers, boat. There is also a fire pit so that you can enjoy the northern stars on a clear night. You have not seen stars like the stars in northern Ontario. In addition to the cottage, we also offer cabins. Each cabin can accommodate two people and are insulated and heated. These cabins are only available in the spring, summer and fall. The property has high speed WIFI Depending on size of group, dictates which buildings are open. A bed is provided for each guest. For groups of 4 or less the main cottage is open. For groups of 5-6, the main cottage and the washroom and shower building are open. Groups of 7-8, the main cottage, shower and washroom building, entertainment building and cabin 1 is open. Groups of 9 -10, main cottage, shower and washroom building, entertainment building and cabin 1,2 is open. Groups of 11-12, the main cottage, shower and washroom building, entertainment building and cabin 1, 2,3 is open. Groups of 13-14, the main cottage, shower and washroom building, entertainment building and cabin 1, 2,3,4 is open. Groups of 15-18, the main cottage, shower and washroom building, entertainment building and cabin 1, 2,3,4,5 is open. If guest want additional building open with smaller groups, additional fees will be charged. Rates Daily rates are $170.00 per night. You can have up to 4 people stay for that price and any additional person rate is $50.00. Maximum occupancy is 6 people during the winter months and 18 during the spring, summer and fall months. Cleaning charge of $55 applies. Weekly rates and monthly rates are available upon request. Check-in is 3pm and checkout is 10am. On long weekends, groups are required to pay for the whole weekend(3 nights) and not just for 2 days. 2 night minimum stay on all other bookings. Algonquin Park is but a stone's throw away. Nearby is Bark Lake which is 6 kms away and Cross Lake which is 4 kms away. The house is very close to OFSC trail 173 and 175. Dog sledding, horseback riding, ice fishing, snowmobiling are activities that can be found in the area. If you've forgotten anything, the closest convenience store is just 12 minutes away in Madawaska. Corner of Hwy 60 and Hwy 523. Barry's Bay is 45 minutes NW and Bancroft is 45 minutes NE. Hiking, ATV'ing, dirt biking, fishing, swimming are activities that can be done in the area. This reservation has a Firm cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 60 days prior to the check in date. A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 60 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 30 to 59 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 30 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request. Our house rules: no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.

We 5 men and 4 women spent 3 nights in this cottage. The facility is excellent. We all are very happy for the arrangements. We definetly going there again to spend more days in that place. Thanks a lot, Nick.

Clean lots of room for large group, large common area in another building with kitchen great for group meals. Friendly neighbour sells fire wood and gives great directions.

I had a group of 13 friends come up to Nick's Retreat. Everything was great, the property is really cool with a bunch of well done taxidermy. Plenty of space to run around and dog friendly too Nick was very attentive to my messages, I want to come up again with the family next time!

We had an incredible time at Nick's Retreat! The 17 of us were able to fit comfortably and the entire property is very well kept. The lake down just down the road was super clean and was a great place to spend the day. Jim the neighbor was incredibly kind and helpful, and Nick is awesome and very easy to deal with in getting everything set up! Would recommend the place to anyone!
