We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We went over the Memorial Day weekend, and it rained a lot, but my 2 teenagers still had a good time. In between the rain, they rode the bikes to the beach area and took a walk on a trail. The area had lots of restaurants, which was good.

Great location overall. The bikes were a nice bonus and in good condition, though they could use a little grease. The house itself was clean and comfortable. The basement was a standout—cool, spacious, with a large TV, a leather-style couch, and two washers and two dryers. It almost had the feel of a high-end laundromat. The kitchen was functional, though it could use a few more cookie sheets. Maybe some new plates. And a beanbag chair for the loft! The covered porch was perfect for relaxing and watching the rain, and the fire pit was ready to go with a bundle of wood, which made for an easy, enjoyable evening roasting marshmallows. During storms, the basement provided a strong sense of safety. The lack of central A/C was a downside. There was one large ceiling fan, and no window A/C units installed yet, though it seemed understandable for the time of year. They would likely be added once temperatures rise further. That said, cooler evening air and the fan helped kept things reasonably comfortable and if you needed, it was coool and quiet downstairs.Fun, quirky place to have an weekend excursion.

The cottage was adorable! Everything that we needed in the kitchen was available...close to Grand Haven and great places to eat! Would stay here again!

Host was responsive. Immediately responded to our messages but did not provide a solution to the issues we had: fireplace wouldn’t light, ants in home, dirty patio furniture, bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. Also, the outdoor area was a bit run down. We were also surprised to find that the washer and dryer are in the basement and so is the additional seating area with T.V. The basement is unfinished.
