About this chalet rental
The cottage built in timber-frame construction directly border our biologically conducted farm. Admist a fruit orchard and surrounded by meadows. The cottage is new, bright, comfortable , with a stylish setting and easily offer room for a family (86 sqm). Bathroom, anteroom, an open kitchen with a dinette, the living quarters with a fire place, as well as two bedrooms with balcony on the first floor – this is where one feels like home.
A spice garden in front of the cottage can also be used by our guests.
Salzburg, the Festival City, is close-by and easily approachable by public transport. Lakes and mountains in the immediate vicinity promise an unforgettable vacation.
But there is also never a dull moment at our farm. Pia, the jenny, cows, calves,
cats or pigs – they all hold out to be stroked.
This is the right place to enjoy your vacation to the full.

A lovely little house within the farm complex. Two very good sized double bedrooms upstairs, a comfortable lounge with lots of seating , a well equipped kitchen / dining area. Modern shower room downstairs. A cosy place to relax with walking and cycling in the area, plus an easy distance to visit the city of Salzburg. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good with two days of heavy persistent rain, but being inside the house was very comfortable. Our dog was welcome but the garden was open so no fenced area to let him run free. Austria seems obsessed with only allowing dogs on any kind of public transport IF they are wearing a muzzle - we have not encountered this elsewhere in Europe- and it is restrictive as this rule included the Park and Ride into Salzburg and the funicular up to the castle. We did not and would not muzzle our dog - he has ridden funicular railways and boat trips in Switzerland, buses in Denmark and trains in the UK- all without incident.

We loved our stay with Elfie and Hannes! The cottage was clean and comfortable for the four of us. Elfie gave us a tour of thier farm and we loved seeing the animals each day. Elfie was on hand to help in any way. Location is beautiful with a nearby grocery store (3 min), gas station (6 min) and restaurants (5 min). Easy drive into Salzburg and loved coming home to the quiet countryside after spending time in the city. Highly recommend!

The Lenzenbauer’s farm cottage was an absolutely perfect option for exploring Salzburg and the surroundings. We contemplated whether to stay in Salzburg or somewhere quieter and more rural, and decided on the rural option. We could not have chosen better. Easily accessible from the city by rail or car, with just a 15 minute walk from the cottage to the rail station, we could easily get in and out of the city cheaply and easily. The cottage and grounds were immaculately kept - clean and beautiful and with the option of fresh farm produce (eggs, fruit, juices, fresh bread) purchased directly from the host’s farm store next door. Our entire family of four - including two hard-to-please young adults - loved the place and we wished we could have stayed longer.
