The Gasthaus's location is really excellent if you want to be in the Old Town. The room was spotless, and the staff very welcoming. We met the owner and she could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Thank you Claudia
We are 2 seniors close to our 80s, and the fact that the room was up one flight of stairs, carrying our bags is not ideal. We did know there was no lift, this was not a surprise. The room however, for us was a bit cramped, the large bed taking up most of the floorspace, but well stocked and very clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable.

Charming building and room, renovated, nicely decorated and cleverly organised, although small, everything is there (including fan, which was enough even for very hot days over 30), in an old historical building. I stayed there tree times and will come back. Wi-Fi works fine. Check-in clearly explained in e-mails. Good contact with the owner, immediate answers (but I had no problems actually).
Room very small but ok for one. Noisy in the evenings if windows open but the earplugs are enough.

The apartment is centrally located in Salzburg Altstadt (old town) and is within walking distance to cafes, shops, the river, and Salzburg train station! Perfect for those interested in a walkable neighborhood!
The only thing I can say I didn’t “enjoy” is that we had hoped to sleep late everyday and the cleaning crew (who are so polite) had to come twice in the morning during our 10 day stay. It felt a bit awkward.
