About this house rental
Chalet "Wätterlücke". Above Wengen, 900 m from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 900 m, restaurant 800 m, bar, bakery 900 m, 12 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.9 km, railway station "Wengen", outdoor swimming pool 900 m. Cable car, skisport facilities 900 m, slopes 5 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. In case of good snow conditions, the house is accessible on skis. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

Bath/shower/WC. Electric heating, boiler. On the lower ground floor: living room with 1 bed (90 cm, length 200 cm), Scandinavian wood stove, cable TV and DVD. Exit to the terrace. Upper floor: 1 room with 1 double bed (180 cm, length 200 cm). Bath/shower/WC. Large balcony. Balcony furniture, deck chairs (3). Marvellous panoramic view of the mountains. Staying at the chalet was the smartest thing I could've done. A great deal for what we received. The home was ultra-clean and spacious. The views (especially from the balcony) were alone worth whatever you pay. We were able to utilize the kitchen in conjunction with trips to the Coop grocery store which made meals a snap. The water pressure was unreal and the home even has a sauna for relaxing in.
The check-in/check-out was easy as the office is in the same building as the train station. Once you understand the trash rules for the village, everything else is a breeze. The walk to and from town is lovely but be aware there is some elevation involved and grabbing a taxi to initially move your luggage from the station is probably essential. The front door lock is temperamental,but that was really the only thing that gave us an issue.
Could not recommend this stay enough. Hopefully we will return soon.

Direkt an der Piste, einwandfreie Ausstattung der Küche und der Zimmer. Entspannte Ferien im gemütlichen Chalet. Kleiner Abzug für fehlendes Brennholz für den ofen. Wurde aber nicht gross vermisst.
