About this house rental
Located in Kill Devil Hills, this attractive house for $419 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This Big Bargain House, 309 Jean Court, Kill Devil Hills is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, close enough to walk to the ocean or the Pamlico Sound.Pool installation beginning soon.Expected opening April 30. Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 10:00 am unless verbal permission has been made. Typical stay is Sunday 4:00 pm thru Saturday 10:00 am during peak summer months. From June through August, We Prefer Renting Full Weeks (Sunday through Saturday, or Saturday through Sunday) to accommodate families that take a week off work and need weekends for travel to destination. Winter and Spring and Fall weekends are available, but minimum stay is three days. House is 3 minute drive from free beachfront parking with lifeguard in summer months. We have beach chairs for use. Great house for multiple family use with parking for six cars/boat. New Hot arrived the May 2021. Suitable for two but three fit satisfactorily. House is located on a quiet cul-de-sac within the shopping hub of Kill Devil Hills. Food, clothing, souvenirs, fine dining, sand dunes, beaches and boat launches are minutes away. Three levels, extensive decking, includes a crows nest, 2 enclosed patios, outside shower and carport with a swing and a propane gas grill and a charcoal grill. As if you were at your own home, please swap out grill propane tank if you run it out. Extra tank is in shed. Fenced wooded lot suitable for dogs. If needed, Gate lock key is on door frame with shed key, beside washer. Two seat kayak and ten-foot surfboard in back yard or on bottom level. Four bikes and large kites in the shed. The shed has a lock. Key to lock is hanging on the door frame on a nail by the clothes washer. Two swings for younger children in back yard. Weight limit from 60-100 pounds. Sleeps 11, 4 BR, 3 BA, 2 queens, 6 twin beds, 1 inflatible bed. Beds are made and ready upon your arrival. There are bath and kitchen towels. Bath hand soap is provided, as well as automatic dish washing detergent. Bring your own shower soap and toiletries. Firetv sticks, Wi-Fi. Huge HDTV. Pool table and treadmill in bottom level, with Sitting area. Updated Stainless Steel kitchen, granite counters. Propane Gas Fireplace in Great Room. Laundry area. Kenmore washer. Frigidaire dryer.. Outside shower. Locked against high winds during windy season. Key is on door frame by clothes washer. The door latch catches tight when you enter stall, so be careful not to get accidentally locked inside stall...... Full spectrum extermination service has been initiated for guest peace of mind. There is a gazebo and kayak launch and boat ramp and fishing pier and The Kitty Hawk Trail on Pamlico Sound within a mile from the house. There is free beachside parking on East Hayman Blvd. only three streets away. During summer months, Lifeguard on duty until 5 pm. Porta potty and feet wash. More information is provided in the house on the refrigerator, regarding wi-fi password, places of interest, food shopping, close out procedures. Our family enjoys it here! We know you will too!!

The hot tub was not working and we were given instructions to fix it ourselves - which we chose not to do. The gas fireplace would not ignite after numerous attempts. The house was comfortable and the dogs loved the backyard.

We have done several vrbo rentals and this was definitely in the top 3! We loved the pool table downstairs and the hot tub. Also a great view from the rooftop. The indoor patio was a great place for our morning coffee. It definitely felt like home away from home. It was so cozy and relaxing inside and out! We also loved how close it was to the beach. We had such a great time and are already planning our next stay!

Clean, Quick, no hassle, good view of the sunrise, plenty of entertainment, dog friendly, and me friendly! This will definitely be a home we rent in the years to come when our pets are traveling with us, or it's a larger family vacation. Stores everywhere and short drive to the beach access. You can even walk to purchase a new vehicle if you'd like. Overall a good experience and kids had a blast with the hot tub and pool table. Thanks for the accommodations!

Comfy, quiet stay
The location of this property was great, close to everything we wanted to do and we enjoyed being in a more residential area. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the roof deck!

Met some family from Ohio in the Outer Banks and this probably was awesome! Very clean and nice quiet neighborhood. Pictures on VRBO don’t do it justice. Pool table and dart board was great for the kids. We enjoyed riding bikes. Would have loved being closer to the beach but it was a 3 minute drive to a very nice public beach.

We enjoyed staying at this place. The house has many indoor games - pool table, Dart, card and board games, which was nice to have around for a rainy day. For future, the property can be even better if backyard was bit clean , walkable and landscaped especially when you can see next door neighbor's nice and clean backyard. Our dog would have enjoyed it even more . Those trees are beautiful , they deserve some love :) . Swing was nice to have . I would certainly recommend this property for a big family, who enjoy quite and calm. Beach is slightly far to walk with chair and stuffs but , manageable for folks who enjoy walking.
The bay side neighborhood has good sidewalk for a light morning walk for a dog. But, the bay access is not great for public access- seems like a perfect example of a capitalistic overreach, when few can make their own rules over the natural amenities. I was personally disappointed to see the size of public access and how it was designed to not give any walkability around it for general public...
The neighborhood is quite and seemed like most of houses had vacationers. This property is nice for people who like to have restaurants, and other quick amenity choices around compared to Rodanthe, Avon, Hatters and etc.

The property is nice. It has a lot of room for 5-7 people. I will recommend this property.

Great location
Could use a sharp knife or knife sharpener. If your planning on doing any fishing, better bring a good knife. Gas grill's igniter doesn't work, it's pretty dirty (we ended up using tin foil) and the burner doesn't turn to low. There is a small charcoal grill available too. You can only access the (fenced) yard area from the ground floor. So if your taking a dog you will get a work out running down stairs to let it in and out. Small 2 person hot tub.. but very clean and heats well. Yard area is quite overgrown, which is not all bad. Creates a bit of privacy. Those are the only very minor issues. The house has a comfy lived in feel, so you don't feel like your walking on egg shells. 2-3 blocks from the sound, the ocean, restaurants, skate park, arcade, etc.. Short drive to see the corolla horses, several light houses, etc. Beach accesses are every where and FREE parking. The house has plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Outside shower is a wonderful necessity. You really do bring the beach, home with you! Remember your beach towels! There are boogie boards and bikes to use. Peaceful culti sac. Would recommend this rental, whole heartedly. Thank you for sharing your space and allowing us to bring along our furbaby (the human kids, too).

The grill was out of gas and has to be lit with a lighter as the ignition switch rusted away. The Host said the gas for the grill was our responsibility, so we passed on grilling thought we had several meals planned to do so based on the advertisement. My final comment is in their rodent problem- we saw glue traps in the cabinet, but were hopeful. The second night we saw a field mouse and set out the traps. We didn’t catch it, but continued to see it. That made us extremely uneasy.

Great Week; Comfortable Home.
House felt like home. Comfortable home design; slept well even with full house. Clean and well stocked with kitchen items and games. Central location on the island. Easy travel to parks, bay, beach, and other attractions we were interested in. Convenient for walk and bike riding along paved bay path. Would stay again.

We spent a week here with two teenagers and a dog. It was great! The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioner and the Wi-Fi worked great, the pool table in the game room was a big hit and there was plenty of space to have some alone time. The beds were very comfortable , so we all slept great. Check in and out was very easy. Would stay again.

My husband and I spent a week at the house with our three teenage children and our dog. We had plenty of room, and the house is very clean. We drove to the beach every day. The drive was less than five minutes, and we never had trouble finding parking.

Fantastic Family Vacation Home
This home was a great fit for our family of 5. This was our first vacation to the Outer Banks. The home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Kill Devil Hills. It is located on the sound side of the island not the Atlantic side and appears to be within more of a residential area, but It is within close driving distance to all of the main attractions that we wanted to visit such as the beaches, the Wright Brother’s Memorial, Jockey’s Ridge State Park, the Aquariam and the Corolla Wild Horse tours. It was also within minutes driving distance to various public beach accesses. We visited the beaches every day and never had an issue finding parking. It is also close to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and many other attractions. The kitchen of the house is well stocked with the basics needed to cook meals so we were able to cook our breakfast and dinner at the house. It is a very spacious home perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the Outer Banks. The kids loved the pool table, dart board and hot tub. There was also a storage bin full of games. The multiple decks provide beautiful views. Scott was easily to communicate with. Check in and out went very smoothly. We would definitely stay in this property again.

Very Enjoyable, Lovely Home
We loved how easy the home was to find. Upon arrival we followed the instructions and easily accessed the home. It was nice not having to go to a third party for the key. The home is very large and suited our needs perfectly. They provided the basics so that we didn't need to run out for soap and toilet paper until we wanted to go shopping. Easy location for access to the beaches and yet far enough away from the main strip to give us some solitude and restful sleep.
Loved our stay and wanted to stay longer but this house seems to book quickly. Thanks to wonderful owners who were very easy to get in touch with through the home away app. Couldn't ask for a nicer stay.
