About this house rental
Situated in West Cape May, this charming house for $650 per night is a great option for your next trip. Located in the Cape May City Historic District, the "Fox Den" offers upscale comfort inside, and lovely outside living spaces. During the summer season, the home is a Sunday to Sunday (weekly) rental; our guests appreciate the reduced check in traffic! Off season we have a two night minimum stay. The two block walk to the historic district's Washington Street Mall makes the home ideal for long weekend activities during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Walk two blocks more and you are at the beautiful Ocean Street Beach. With 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths, it's a great vacation choice for large families, friends and couples. The open space first floor offers a great room with 50" flat screen TV, bar cabinet, well equipped kitchen, and a spacious dining area. Gather on the open air front porch or enter the “Tower Room" / inside porch for relaxing. The first floor also features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master suite (en suite full bath) has a king size bed and a day bed; a second bedroom has a queen bed; the third bedroom has two twin beds. The home's second floor has a family room complete with a 60 inch TV, coffee/ wet bar (beverage refrigerator and microwave). Located on either side of the family room are two additional bedrooms . The second floor king master suite (en suite full bath) has a daybed; an additional bedroom with two twin beds and two sets of bunk beds sleeps 6. The home’s 4th full bathroom has a 2nd set of high efficiency (HE) washer and dryer. A pack and play, stroller, high chair, and booster chair are provided for our younger guests. Relax in the gated rear yard with 2 patio area dining tables, Adirondack chair conversation pit, additional seating, and a propane gas grill. A changing room /outdoor shower (hot and cold water) completes the shore scene. At the Ocean Street beach, a beach box stocked with 8 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and beach toys is provided during the summer season. Additionally, a beach wagon and beach cart are provided for transporting beach towels, cooler etc. to and from the beach. The "Fox Den" has parking for 3 cars in the driveway, plus un-metered street parking. Leave your cars parked; it takes minutes to walk to the beaches, parks, restaurants, theaters, food stores, bike rentals, mini golf, and more! LINENS and TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL. Amazing house! Our family spends a weekend in Cape May every December. This gorgeous home was spacious, very clean, and just a short walk to The Mall, and Congress Hall to have breakfast with Santa!

This was our first visit to Cape May and we were a bit spoiled by this beautiful home. First the house is beautifully appointed and everything you could possibly need to prepare a thanksgiving dinner is here. The layout of the house makes it ideal for extended families,affording some privacy. The location was ideal with a short walk to the village and the beach. I would highly recommend FoxDen and extremely happy with our stay.

My 3 friends and I took a 4 day fall vacation in Cape May and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Every detail of comfort has been considered and we experienced an enjoyable time in Cape May and in the house. Everything in the house is clean, new and bright which gave us a feeling of security and happiness. Communication with the owners was perfect and check in was very convenient.We can't wait to return to the Fox's Den again!

We absolutely loved this house. Within walking distance to everything. Beautiful backyard and porch. So well-decorated and fully stocked kitchen, which made it easy to cook a meal at home. Quick and easy communication with the hosts. Would highly recommend for large groups/families.

The Fox Den was by far the best trip I have taken to the Jersey shore in 22 years I have been visiting with my family, children
And friends. After years of Wildwood crest, we decided to venture out and we’re lucky enough to book the fox den only because a regular had canceled. Best luck in the world! The Fox Den is absolutely beautiful and immaculate! The living space and kitchen was more than enough for all of us. My entire family enjoyed this trip more than any other family vacation. We were able to invite more friends because there was so much beautiful living and sleeping space. The shops at Cape May were minutes away and the walk to the beach was absolutely beautiful. The convenience of the beach box that Tom and Colleen provided made our beach days so easy. I cannot say enough about how accommodating Tom and Colleen both were from answering questions before the trip to helping us find the greatest restaurants and destinations in Cape May. This will be our new vacation spot every year. I can’t say enough good things!

House couldn’t have been more perfect for our 5 children and 6 adults. Kids each had their own beds and we all had enough bathrooms for everyone to get ready each day. The house is tastefully decorated and furnished. It was definitely our best vacation ever! Tom our host promptly answered any questions we had,

My family has been vacationing each summer for the past 15 years in various locations . We have been to a number of beautiful homes . This just may be the nicest homes we have stayed in . The Fox family made this process completely painless and were the to communicate whenever needed . The home is BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN and BETTER than it looks online . I can't recommend the Fox Den enough !!

Our family had the most wonderful stay at the “Fox Den”. The home was beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished with space for everyone. The house is just blocks away from great restaurants, quintessential shops and the beach. The well-equipt beach box was the best amenity we could wish for! We chose The Fox Den in Cape May for our girls weekend. This home is even more beautiful in person! The house was very clean, all of the rooms were large and decorated beautifully, the kitchen was well stocked, the backyard was serene and the property was an easy walk to restaurants and the beach. We are so grateful to have found this beautiful home for our first ever "girls weekend" with some of my closest friends from elementary school! The house is decorated beautifully, it's immaculate, spacious, cheerful and cozy, and conveniently located just steps away from the shops and restaurants, and the beach. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and everyone had such a wonderful time! The check in and checkout process was very easy, and the hosts were kind and welcoming, and very responsive and accommodating. We honestly couldn't have thought of a more perfect home to spend together and create wonderful memories we will always cherish! We all can't wait to come back again!

Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large number of guests. Home was very clean upon check in. Was very impressed with everything you could need being supplied in the kitchen, as that can sometimes be hit and miss with some houses. Owners very courteous and responsive with any questions I had. House was also close to the beach and Washington St. Would love to stay here again when returning to Cape May.

This house was a perfect “home base” for a terrific week in Cape May - it’s wonderfully located, has great indoor/outdoor spaces for family meals, and in general, is a thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and lovely place. This is a beautiful property, conveniently located near everything. You can easily walk to beaches, the market, and excellent restaurants. The hosts were friendly and easily accessible. The house is beautifully appointed and maintained. The landscaping is lush and special. Everyone who stayed (we were a family of 9) remarked on how perfect the house was.

The pictures don't do this house justice! It's bigger, newer, cleaner and better stocked than you think. The hosts couldn't have been more responsive and thought of every single detail of what we would need and how to help us feel at home from the moment we walked in until we left. If you're on the fence...book it! You will not be disappointed.

We love Cape May and make several trips per year. This property never disappoints. We love the location and open communication with the property owner directly. Tom always makes sure we are comfortable and thinks of special touches such as candy canes for the kids and a Christmas gift and card upon arrival. The Christmas tree and exterior decorations are impeccable. We will return year after year as long as you’ll have us!!
