Absolutely stunning villa! We couldn't have asked for a better stay. The villa itself is beautiful. The pool was amazing, the views were incredible and the location was so peaceful with direct access to the beach. Our room was lovely, with a huge bathroom. Everything was clean and well looked after. The food was incredible! We had fresh fruit and fresh juices every morning, and the chef made the most delicious, fresh meals.
Kamil, Shehan, Mitthun, Laksha and Lasanth (and apologies to the team member whose name I've forgotten!) were honestly amazing. So friendly, attentive and welcoming. They took the time to get to know us and made us feel so comfortable.
They were always around whenever we needed anything, without ever making it feel like too much trouble. They really did go above and beyond. A little shoutout to Kallu too, the villa's resident dog! She was so chilled in her own little zone, keeping a watchful eye on everything and adding to the homely feel of the place. I also have to mention how incredibly kind and accommodating the manager was. After checking out, we unfortunately had an issue with another property and found ourselves needing somewhere to return to. I contacted him at almost 11pm, and without hesitation he arranged for us to come back. He stayed awake to welcome us (again) & had another room ready for us. That level of thoughtfulness and care really meant so much to us. We won't forget it. We honestly didn't want to leave. Villa Blu is such a special place, and if we ever find ourselves back in Tangalle, we wouldn't think twice about staying here again. Highly, highly recommend!

This was my sixth trip back to Sri Lanka and my first time at Villa Blu, what an excellent property. The location was beautiful, your own private beach (not all the beaches in Sri Lanka are clean but this was very clean!). The staff were superb, all were respectful and helpful and regularly maintained the property throughout my stay. Kamal was exceptionally helpful in ensuring I enjoyed everything and checking in to make sure if I needed anything else. The food was pretty good and unless you are very fussy, there is enough on the menu to satisfy anyone’s taste including vegetarian options. Overall, the property was clean and in good condition, see below for some small feedback on the room.
The only thing that could be improved on was the bathroom in my room - the shower area was looking a bit tired and could do with some new silicone and perhaps updated fittings. That’s not to say it was not functional, the shower was very functional and the water pressure was great, it was just some small cosmetic update that could be made to make everything look fresh.
