About this cabin rental
Nestled in Stanley, this attractive cabin for $425 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Charming rustic guest home located in lower Stanley with incredible views of the Sawtooth Mountains, Salmon river view, easy access and close proximity to downtown Stanley. One mile to town, and 10 minute drive to breathtaking Redfish Lake and Stanley lake. Relax and grill out on a large deck with unobstructed views of the Sawtooth Mountains. Guest house is in the front of the property with private access and national forest sits to the right and directly behind property making for beautiful views. Home has 3 bedrooms with one downstairs with a queen bed, and two bedrooms are upstairs each having two queen beds in them. Guestroom upstairs features double doors opening to a small sitting balcony looking onto the Salmon river. Great place to relax, read , unwind and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. The bathroom is located downstairs. Home features a large patio with BBQ and a picnic table. Great patio/deck for enjoying the Stars, Salmon River and Sawtooth mountain views. The kitchen nook seats 4-6 people and is equipped with a microwave, garbage disposal, coffee maker, blender, refrigerator, oven and items necessary to make a home cooked meal. Home sleeps 6 and is great for families or is perfect for a girls/guys getaway.

Property is a good size for a couple or family. Very close to restaurants and more importantly for us, hiking. MAny hikes within 20 minutes of the house which was great for us as our goal was lots of hiking. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had all necessities for cooking our own meals. Perfect spot!

We had a very nice time at this cabin in Lower Stanley. We were very close to town and lots of hiking, hot springs, etc. The area is beautiful and this home is cozy.

Beautiful property across the highway from the Salmon River. Exceptionally clean with well stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are spacious with ample dresser and hanging storage. Great views of the Sawtooths from the living area and large outdoor deck. Would definitely come back!

The views from the porch were spectacular, from the river, the horses in the pasture and the mountains. The location is very close to town, but far enough away to feel secluded. The beds were wonderful

Our family (6 adults) spent 3 nights at Gone Fishing. The cabin is extremely nice, well outfitted and very comfortable. Location is excellent. Just far enough away from “downtown” Stanley to be out of the chaos but minutes from Redfish and all the beauty that the Sawtooths offer. Gitta was great with communication and we would definitely stay here again.

My fiancé and I came to Stanley to have an elopement wedding at Redfish Lake. It was such a wonderful experience at the cabin. Everything was perfect. It was very peaceful with an amazing view of the Salmon River on the deck. We also loved the star gazing at night. We will definitely come back to stay here. Thank you so much Gita for everything! We loved the white wine you left us 😊

The house is awesome. The town of Stanley is awesome. What makes this place is the owner, Gitta. She is so super nice easy to communicate with. Her recommendations made our vacation. From hikes and fishing spots to places to eat and drink, all were fabulous. Here's to many more wonderful days (and nights - the stars from her place are stunning) in Stanley in our future!

We enjoyed our stay at Gitta's property. She allowed us to book it far in advance for our elopement, which I greatly appreciated. It is conveniently located near Stanley, and it has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay in the Sawtooths. The view from the porch is so pretty too!

Great Cabin, highly recommend!
We stayed for the weekend for my Brother's wedding and the cabin comfortably sleeps 6 if you're willing to share a bathroom. I'd highly recommend this space with only a short drive to many locations and a beautiful view to wake up to. Thanks for the delightful weekend!

Perfect location and amazing host!
We throughly enjoyed our time at Gone Fishing. It was in an excellent location with beautiful views of the Salmon River and Sawtooth Mountains. Our cabin was clean and well supplied. Gitta was an excellent host who went above and beyond to accommodate us. She was very responsive and had lots of suggestions for local activities. Highly recommend!

Very clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The deck was a perfect place to watch the meteor shower. Beds were very comfortable and even though the daytime highs were around 90, the log cabin walls kept it cool during the day if we opened windows at night and kept the blinds closed during the sunniest part of the day. We went white water rafting with White Otter in Sunbeam and spent a day at beautiful Redfish Lake. Would highly recommend this cabin for a jumping off spot to explore the area.

This cabin was incredibly clean and the check in was painless and easy. Our every need was met and then some. Gitta was easy to communicate with and was always looking out for us. She also gave wonderful recommendations. We were very comfortable and the location and views of the cabin were gorgeous. We will for sure be back!!

We had 5 of us (2 adults and kids ages 3, 7 and 10 years old) and it was plenty of room. There really isn’t a yard or anywhere to go on the property besides the deck. We were fine with this, as we spent our days at the lake.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. The gas grill outside with the patio is a major bonus.
The beds were a bit stiff, but still pretty comfortable. Only two things I wish I thought about, so I could adapt: no A/C and the road in front is loud. Both fixable with loud fans.😆
Stanley (we have been vacationing here for 35 years) usually doesn’t get too hot, so A/C isn’t needed. However, this year, it has been hot! It was hot at night upstairs-even with the windows and fan on. My 3 year old woke up dripping wet with sweat. We pulled blankets off, slept in underwear and moved fans so they were blowing right on us and it seemed to be better. Just as long as you go into the rental knowing that, I think you will be fine.
The location is perfect for a quick drive to Redfish Lake or upper Stanley.
Super clean and we will rent again. Next time we will just bring an extension cord (to move fans around) and more fans as we are use to sleeping in air conditioned rooms😆.

Gitta will be a caring, gracious hostess. The only problem with your stay is that you won't want to leave!
