We enjoyed our 6 night stay and hope to book again. Relaxful. The house is tastefully simple and has all the needs and comforts a home provides, pictures in listing are outdated. Walk to the beach is about 5-7 minutes, safe developed older neighborhood with a pool, spa, and canal. There's a beautiful tree in the backyard that provides grounding space and shade to feel the intercoastal breeze. If you spent time going back and fourth on available listing, this one is a fabulous choice. We stayed as family of 3, could easily accommodate a family of 5. The bed in the master bedroom is comfortable but it's more the size of a full vs. queen. We are use to a king size so there's that. Overall 10+ highly recommend.

Beautiful home! Pool isn't huge but is a great size to jump in and cool off. My son loved the access to the Spanish River/Intercoastal waters for fishing. Great location and nice updated home. Wonderful visit!

We greatly enjoyed the house. The location is great! Very quiet safe area. 10 min walk to the very nice clean uncrowded beach. Very easy communication with the owner. We highly recommend this vacation house!

This property felt like home and was perfect for our needs. Neighborhood felt safe and was conveniently located. We loved the private beach with plenty of private parking. Fishing off the dock had good action and species variety keeping my son entertained when the rest of us were enjoying down time. Host was responsive when we had questions. We would definately stay here again.

We had a wonderful week during our stay here. The house was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything that we needed, and the backyard pool/spa area along the canal was its own little paradise. The walk to the beach only took about five minutes, or we could drive over and park at the private beach entrance. The beach was never crowded at all, which was a plus. Just read the rest of the reviews. The photos do not totally represent what you will see when you get there, especially with the spacious screened porch and the office with futon. If we visit the area again, we will definitely try to book here. Thank you, Viet!

Our first family vacation with my six yr old boy. We had a wonderful time. Everything you can imagine for a relaxing, fun in the sun, family time getaway. Viet and his family are very nice and do a great job. We had everything we needed.

Great, clean, and comfortable house
We love this property! It was clean and had everything you needed. Our kids particularly loved the pool. Five minute walk to a private beach which was never crowded. Viet the owner was very welcoming. We will definitely be back next year.

Please read the agreement. Location is good, pool filter back in late july early august of 2021 was a little finicky. Overall it is a great place, we don't appreciate when property owner yelling at us for something that we did not do.

What a great house in a wonderful neighborhood. The house was large for our family of 4. Had an amazing back yard with a nice pool, outdoor seating, a screened in porch and right on the water. The inside of the home had everything you could need. It is about a 5 min walk from the beach or there is private parking for you at the beach if you prefer. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach was never very busy. The location is great. The pictures online are great but in person it is even better. We would highly recommend this home.

The inside of the home had everything you could need. It is about a 5 min walk from the beach or there is private parking for you at the beach if you prefer. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach was never very busy. The location is great. The pictures online are great but in person it is even better. We would highly recommend this home.

There is a huge screened-in patio which was a great place for enjoying meals. Having two little ones, I was grateful that there was a comfy leather sofa, tile floors throughout, and child locks on the doors. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you, Viet!

Great place
Staying here was a true vacation for the whole family. The kids were in and out of the pool all day or exploring the tropical plants. The iguanas were a big hit too. Easy and short walk to the beach. Mice house layout and equipped with anything you need for cooking/baking. We will be going back soon.

Spectacular place
Amazing. To be in Lauderdale, this close to the beach, on a canal, with a pool, in a nice updated house. What else can you ask for.
Terra Mar is a great little island. Great for walking or biking. A few minutes walk to the beach. We walked to the beach every day and several evenings.
House is better than it looks. Listing has too few pictures. There isn't a picture of the large screened in room. It has a big table there with nice view over the pool and canal. Yard is beautifully landscaped. Picnic table outside. Several lounge chairs poolside.
The house is nice updated and redone. Plenty of space. Nice furnishings. Comfortable.
Owner is the actual owner, not a service, and is very nice.
The ice dispenser doesn't work, but does make ice.
The only issue we ran into is the HVAC ducts need to be redone. In particular, the master bedroom is hard to cool. We had to use a fan to try and bring in cooler air. The bedroom itself is great with windows on 3 sides and a door to the pool.

We loved the property and location. Would definitely stay again. Access to the beach is private for the community and this was great as often times there were only a few others on the beach.

Great place for vacation
All the reviews say about the same thing and I have to admit that I found this quite strange. Not a single negative criticism. Are all bad reviews removed?
After spending a wonderful week in this place I no longer doubt. This is the perfect place. I will keep this as an absolute favourite and recommend this place to anyone planning to go to Florida. We really appreciated the host who is a genuine nice person, always at hand to help.

Great House and Great Access to the Beach
My wife and kids have stayed here twice now, and we would definitely stay again. Everything is very well appointed and we love the pool in the back. The bathrooms had been remodeled since our last stay and that is a great upgrade. The beach is very close with private access, and the house is equipped with everything you would need for a trip to the beach.

HEAVEN ON EARTH
We found HEAVEN ON EARTH...Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, secluded, quiet yet close enough to everything when we wanted more "action"! Lauderdale-By-The-Sea/Pompano Beach is our favorite vacation destination! We visited this area when we were young then brought our own children here. Now we return as empty nesters. We're familiar/knowledgable/experienced with this area and accommodations. Over time we've come to appreciate renting a private vacation home versus staying at hotels. We know what you get (and don't get) for your money. The rental price for this property is very reasonable based on high quality of this beautiful home! Our visit here spring 2016 was by far our best experience ever! The first thing we noticed upon arriving after many hours of travel from cold/snowy northern Ohio was the lovely entrance to this neighborhood with pretty tropical landscaping. When we entered the driveway we immediately felt a sense of warmth/comfort! The flowers/tropical trees/patio furniture seemed to sing: "Welcome to sunny south Florida!" The owner, Mr. Viet Luong, keeps this property in perfect condition! He's pleasant to do business with:) Prior to renting this property he was polite answering any questions we had. He is prompt/professional with payment confirmation/rental contracts. This property provides plenty of nice dishes/pots-pans/paper products (foil/wrap/paper towels/coffee filters/laundry/dish detergent) EVERYTHING you need. Includes: grill on back patio/well constructed picnic table/other nice furniture. Beach chairs/pool towels/rafts were ready for our enjoyment! If you love boats/jet skis/paddle boards this is the place for you! It has an enormous dock! The house is a short walk/drive from the lovely El Mar Beach Club private beach. Upon entering the white iron gates you escape to Paradise with tropical foliage/nice tables/chairs/built-in grills/shaded areas with seating to escape from the sun. At "home" we enjoyed relaxing on the spacious patio/deck overlooking the lovely pool/spa and intercostal waterway:) Free WiFi/strong signal a plus while relaxing on gorgeous screened patio or anywhere in house/yards:) Appliances/TVs/cooling system in excellent working order! NO insects/creatures indoors. It's rare to find these qualities in rental units! Pool/spa controlled with remote device. We weren't sure how to operate remote. The owner was quick to show us how to use the pool/spa control. We were thrilled and can't wait to return! THANK YOU
