This is a lovely hotel - really well located, easily walkable - along the river - to many hotels and bars. Large, clean rooms, very helpful staff and the option of western or Japanese style rooms. We felt really welcome and staff were very helpful, even lending us umbrellas when there was a Kyoto downpour! The breakfast was great, with western and Japanese options. Overall our favourite stay of our trip to Japan!

Location is along the KAMO river. There are running ways for runners.
It is hidden from the main street. Onzen rooms are not available full-time.
