About this house rental
Situated in Phippsburg, this lovely house for $236 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Step back in time while you enjoy the best rental value along Maine's Southern Mid Coast--Belle's House. This quaint New England two-story house harks back to a simpler time of family homesteads and small quiet villages. Belle's House is nestled between the beautiful Rock Gardens Inn and Sebasco Harbor Resort, each within a 5 minute walk. With shore frontage and unobstructed views of Round Cove, this delightfully simple family owned house is fully furnished with 4 bedrooms that comfortably sleeps 8 adults and offers a full kitchen, 2 full baths, washer & dryer and a large new deck. We have also undergone major interior and exterior renovations in 2022 and now Belle's House comes with Free Wi-Fi. Belle's House is exclusively for week long rentals. We open for the season on the Saturday during Memorial Day week. The rates In July and August for the 7-night rental is $1,550. June and September are $1,450. Our season concludes on October 1st. Check-in is at 4:00pm Saturday and check-out is at 9:00am the following Saturday During any time you choose to visit, Belle's House is an exceptional value as it offers guests access to all activities at the Sebasco Harbor Resort*. Belle's House is also a short drive to many additional activities including Beaches; Biking; Boating; Fairs & Festivals; Farmer's Markets; Golfing; Fishing; Hiking Trails; Kayaking; Lighthouses; Museums; Restaurants; Shopping; Swimming; Tennis; Bowling; Bowdoin College; Reid State Park; and L.L. Bean's Flagship Store in Freeport. Deep water mooring rentals are available. Belle's House is available from May 1st - October 1st. Off season rates are also available. Belle's house was a lovely spot. It was quite comfortable even with the daily rain we had. Our dog had a great time, other dogs around to play with. We had some friends visit 3 days and the house was very comfortable for them as well. The owners were very attentive to our needs and responded quickly and took care of us well. Enjoyed the local lobster pound and the oyster pound as well. Pretty area. Would rent again.

House was very clean and ready for us a little early. A plus when you travel with a cat! Marty was so helpful both before we booked and after. Answered all our questions and made many recommendations for food and activities. Both he and his wife Brenda are Amazing hosts
. There were many beaches to visit like Head beach, Totham beach and Popham. Popham was like no other beach i have seen. Low tide presents a land bridge connecting to a rock island. Waves from two sides collide when tide is changing. No seaweed either. And lots of tide pools for little ones. Sebasco Resort next to Belles House has a restaurant you can walk to with an amazing view of Casco bay. you can get lunch or dinner and get drinks. We enjoyed eating at Spinneys (near Popham beach) and Lobster House both had excellent service and superb seafood. Short drives to most food and beaches(10 min to Popham) Give Belles House a look before you book your Maine vacation. 4 brs and 2 bath was more room than we needed with our family of 4.

This is our fourth summer staying at Marty and Brenda's house and each time we love it even more! They keep the place clean and fresh for every guest and they are always so welcoming and gracious. They are available for questions at any time, and they have made wonderful recommendations to us for special beaches, and sources of the best Maine crab and steamers in the area. This past visit we arrived on the later side and wanted to have lobsters the first night and Marty arranged for fresh and delicious lobsters to be delivered on the doorstep upon arrival! The kitchen has been recently renovated and the bedrooms are cozy, and the beds are comfortable. The view of the ocean is stunning from the spacious deck, and access to the water is around the corner for kayaking and walks out on the sandbar during low tide. Marty and Brenda also have beautiful flower boxes and they keep their property impeccably maintained--the expansive front lawn is a perfect space for croquet and other lawn games. We travel with our kids every summer to this special place and everyone in the family looks forward to it...this lovely and charming cottage is a special gem, and we recommend it highly!

It was a very enjoyable stay. It’s very pretty and convenient. We went for a sail with Captain Sean which I highly recommend. Ledge’s Pub is an easy walk and had delicious burgers and cocktails. Plus an ice cream shop. I’m not sure if you have access to the golf course and the pool is for people staying at the resort.
We only used the downstairs bed which was ok. We took the plastic off the mattress so our sheets wouldn’t slide. Plenty of towels.Cookware and dishes can use updating. You should bring all your own supplies (spices, etc).It was a comfortable house with a beautiful view. No AC but we didn’t miss it with the windows open.
We left our toothbrush charger and Marty was kind enough to mail it back!
Of course we had lobster and got it from Crabby’s which was very good but there are plenty of options. Also clams and oysters from Clam Hunters. Definitely visit Totham and Popham Beach. Fantastic!

Quiet cottage with a great view. Marty was super nice, helped us with anything we needed. The house is very welcoming too. We found some restaurants in the neighborhood. Just be careful of iffy network coverage when you are out driving.

We really enjoyed our stay at Belle! It was a sweet house with a lovely history. The location was awesome as we were able to walk down to Round Cove every morning with our grand children. The house is located close to the Popham Beach, and an easy ride into Bath for supplies.

My 14 and 12 year old sons and I have been vacationing at Sebasco Harbor Resort for the last eight years. This was our first time booking outside the resort and I couldn't have been happier with our decision. This house was absolutely perfect! It's a great combination of nice privacy but also very centrally located, just a short walk to all the resort's amenities.
The large front deck is wonderful, with a beautiful view of the cove and nice front yard for kids to play. The layout of the house is fantastic, with a first floor "master suite" and three additional bedrooms and full bath upstairs (nice for parents and kids to have their own space!). The kitchen is spacious, with beautiful custom cabinetry and everything you need within. And the living room looks out at the cove, with a couple nice gliders by the windows to enjoy the breeze off the water.
And best of all, the host was wonderful! Marty is a very friendly, interesting and personable host, and was extremely helpful/responsive, including fixing a blind that snapped off a bedroom window just hours after contacting him.
Thanks for a great week and we are already looking forward to our week at Belle's House next summer!

We came in from Virginia Beach to stay up in Maine at this little slice of heaven called “Belle’s House”. We immediately noticed the VRBO pictures hardly did the place justice. The cottage is charming and full of character, it’s breezy and cozy at the same time. Everything you need is at your finger tips, including recommendations from the owner as to where to get lobster. The view is absolutely wonderful at all times of day, in any weather. Marty and his wife went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic. It feels like we’ve gained family along the way. There are hardly the right words to describe this place, nestled among the beautiful Sebasco Harbor Resort and coves. We enjoyed waking up to song birds and sea breezes and we look forward to coming back as soon as we can.

Great home to relax and unwind listening to the birds, crickets and occasional lobster boat with the peaceful cove to view from the deck. What else could you ask for. Great location on Round Cove and near Debased Harbor Resort. House is excellent and Marty is the best host! Only downside was the drought and water situation. We enjoyed our week and already talking about next summer!

Belle’s House is everything described and much more! The rental is well thought out and had everything we needed. It had many extra touches that gave it a “homey” feeling. It’s obvious that the owners, Marty & Brenda, love the property. We enjoyed every morning sipping coffee on the deck which overlooks Round Cove. Most evenings were also spent on the deck with the ocean breeze coming off the cove. The location is perfect - close to Bath, Brunswick and Popham Beach. As part of the rental, you will have access to nearby Totham Preserve which has a beautiful beach. With Sebasco Bay Harbor Resort close by, we were able to golf many times during our stay. We also enjoyed lunch at Ledges Pub and an occasional after dinner ice cream cone at the resort. Marty & Brenda truly cared that we had everything we needed. Marty offered to get us lobsters from his boat at a great price and gave us information on where to purchase the most delicious clams for steaming. We were sad our stay came to an end but we hope to be back summer!

Perfection!
I have never been to Maine, and I took my mother, grandmother and 16-year-old for a week's vacation here. This is the rare time where the pictures of the house were spot on. Everything was perfect and having four bedrooms was great for us. The pictures of the bay, though, can't really capture the beauty. It's something you can't describe. You just have to see it for yourself. From this house, we were able to travel to so many places. It was a perfect location. It's so easy to hop over to Bath, Boothbay, Bristol and even Portland. It was my mother's goal to see as many lighthouses as possible, and we saw eight in all. Everywhere we traveled was just a little over an hour from this house. The little Sebasco Bay village was super cute and had nice restaurants. I liked how the house was kind of off to itself, though, so you weren't right in the middle of the village. We definitely had privacy. The view of the bay from the front window was gorgeous. The host was also wonderful. I loved his Maine accent! The price was extremely reasonable for all that we had. I really can't say enough about this place. If you've never been to Maine, this place captures everything you think Maine would be.

The cottage has had a huge renovation since our last stay. It was great to be back again! Proximity to the resort, beaches and Bath are all great. It was really nice to be able to bring our dog too. "Charming Belle"
We arrived to a very clean , charming home. It certainly gave an impression of being welcomed and part of the family. The house had lovely pictures of relatives and suitable antique furniture. The home obliviously was lovingly restored . The deck and outdoor furniture are wonderful and faced a fabulous view of the cove. Thought I would read more but the view was too enticing. We particularly loved the quiet neighborhood and walking our dog . It certainly felt safe . We appreciated the TV and access to many channels.
Belle is perfectly located and not far from other destinations via car. Definitely a very pleasant experience.

He was prompt to take care of any need we had, which was rare. It is not in a touristy area, which provided a nice family visit without the distractions. There are touristy areas near by to visit. The area is great for walking and if we wanted to visit the Country Club for bowling or golfing. It was right there. I would highly recommend this home away from home. Charming house in beautiful surroundings
This charming house with a long family history has been renovated to be fresh and cheerful; it worked great as a home base for our family as we attended a nearby graduation. Tucked in amongst the properties of a small resort and spa, the house has lovely surroundings with a water view and bird watching out front picture window. The owner, Marty, was solicitous of our needs and even procured fresh lobster and crab for us--fun!

Wonderful Stacation!
My husband and I just returned home from a wonderful week a Belle’s house! Sebasco Harbor is one of our favorite spots and when I found this awesome rental at a great price I couldn’t resist. We live 20 minutes away so we didn’t do the touristy stuff but if you are not from around here you cannot go wrong with this location! For us it was a way to escape the misery of 2020 and do one of our favorite things at a fabulous location and that is golf! We also managed to catch some stripers which is great fun! Belle’s house is such a beautiful cottage/house and the accommodations are perfect for just a couple or a family! We had my sister and her husband down for 9 holes, striper fishing and wonderful lobsters that Marty provided fresh off his boat at a great price! They spent the night and there was plenty of room. The next day my daughter and her husband and my grandson came down. More golf, fishing in the AM, food to go from The Ledges at Sebasco Resort and again the sleeping arrangements were great! Especially having the walk through bedroom where my grand was next to his parents. Everything was as described and it is such a cute house with a great view of the cove. 5 minute walk to Sebasco Harbor Resort, 5 minute walk to golf. The house sits back so it’s very quiet and the deck is perfect! Sun and shade and the ocean breeze! I caught my hubby snoozing on the deck after a round of golf! I honestly don’t think you could find a three bedroom house with two full bathrooms at a better price and this comes with a fabulous host! From the moment I made the reservation I knew we were in good hands! Marty called to chat when he found out how close we lived! Such a nice man! I called the day before we were to head down to get details on checking in. I placed an order for some lobsters at the same time and we just happen to finish our golf round as he was getting finished up lobstering for the day. Gave us a few lessons on lobsters and told some cute stories and some fabulous family history that revolves around the area. Make sure to listen to his stories and then walk through the house to see the fabulous old family photos. They are a treasure for sure! For those coming into the area or looking for more to do there are several day trip options 10 to 60 minutes away. The golf course is always in pristine shape but it is tight! Marty we will be back!
