We really enjoyed our stay at the home. It had everything we needed, was directly on the most beautiful part of Suttons Bay, and was easy walking distance to town. Great house, great experience overall. No complaints and very thankful to the owners. If I had to call out anything to be aware of: it is directly on the M-22 highway, and directly adjacent to a public park, which makes access easy but also reduces privacy. We also paid a crazy amount for the house since we wanted the 4th of July week, but it was not cheap!

The house was in a good location for the wedding and was adequate for the family members that stayed with us. It was great being on the lake and within a short walk to Sutton's Bay restaurants, etc. Great for a family gathering.

Good accommodations, excellent help
Good accommodations, excellent help
I rented the house for a group of people attending a family reunion. Other houses were used as well. The house at 124 S Shore is an older house, located close to town and right on the bay. It's a little hard to find (the red garage door helps!) and very close to the south end of town - within walking distance. We had a few minor issues with sliding doors on the laundry and an umbrella outside but otherwise it's in very good condition and was quite comfortable. Most of the help I got was from Pam and all of that was on the phone. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable and helped me get things started. I made a final call when we left and to say thanks and goodbye. The property was pretty much as advertised and I was not disappointed. The people involved in managing our stay were very professional and helpful.

We paid way too much per night for this property for our family attending a local wedding. My objective is to save other families from this same disappointing experience. The plus side of this property is its location— lovely view and close to town. But that is where the positive ends. The exterior of the cottage is run down, the deck is peeling, and the dining table on the deck is peeling as well. The umbrella in the table has some sort of cloth holding the umbrella upright. The grill was filthy, so we bought cleaner and scrubbed ourselves before using. The sand by the lake is old and dirty, the beach is small and shared. The beach chairs uncomfortable and unattractive, the fire pit is functional but uninviting. The house itself is dark, the furniture uncoordinated, worn out (some pieces broken), floors and rugs unclean. The kitchen utensils, plates and glasses are also a collection of cheap and unmatched items. The pans are worn out, many showing rust stains. The broom in the kitchen was curled up on itself— unusable on a floor desperate to be swept. The bedrooms have sheets that are of poor quality and also unmatched. The curtains are sheer and provide no protection from the traffic noise. My spouse had to repair a falling door on our first night. The bathrooms are dated. The appliances work, but at 25% of what you might expect— hours to dry a few towels. The air conditioning vents are concentrated shots of cold air and extremely loud. The screens are damaged or missing. The linoleum is buckling and the carpet held down by silver duct tape. There is a long history of complaints on this property. I only wish we had done our due diligence and gone somewhere else.

We could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the condition of the property and the surrounding grounds. We are VERY picky regarding cleanliness and reasonable functionality of a property as I travel for work. The cottage was perfect for our 2 families, and the grounds led directly to dock which is also adjacent to the city park. Our Property Manager was super responsive and checked in with us throughout to make sure we had everything. We could not have been more pleased and we will return! Thank you for the PERFECT vacation!♥️
