I had the best sleep of my 8-day holiday at the Boat House. The bed was so comfortable, the room and shared bathroom were very clean and tidy.
The host was also lovely, friendly and chatty. I'd definitely stay there again!

The owner was friendly and informative and set out the sidetable with good quality crockery - not plastic mugs. It was a quiet place and next to a loch. The bed was very comfortable. It is a great place as an overnight stay. The wifi was very good.
The room was set up as well as it could have been but there was only room for one chair. The bed takes up about 3/4 of the room. It is not somewhere to stay in if it is a rainy day.

The host was such a lovely and welcoming lady. The location of the property is absolutely beautiful, and the room was so comforting and cosy. We checked in quite late because of the road construction, but she was so kind to stay awake and personally greet us at that time. She reminded me so much of my nanna — confident, independent, calm and composed. I genuinely loved her warmth and the way she made us feel so comfortable. I had badly hurt my back the day before, so I was struggling with pain and had to check out a little late. I felt really guilty knowing that she even missed her doctor’s appointment because of me, but she didn’t complain even once. Instead, she simply hugged me, which honestly touched my heart. She is such a warm and caring lady, and I will definitely visit again next year. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful place to others. Just one little request from my side — please try to be punctual with check-in and check-out, as she deserves to have her own time too. ❤️
just wish there was some empty wardrobe or storage space where guests could comfortably keep their clothes during their stay, and a more reliable supply of hot running water would have been helpful. Apart from that, there wasn’t really anything we disliked about the property.
One thing I would like to mention is that the late check-in was not the host’s fault at all. She had actually messaged me in advance about the road construction timings, but unfortunately Booking.com did not send the notification to my email, so I never received the information. Because of this, we had to drive around 40 miles extra and ended up checking in late. I would just request Booking.com to ensure that important messages from hosts are properly forwarded to guests by email, as this could have helped us avoid the extra journey and late arrival.
