About this house rental
Situated in Grants Pass, this attractive house for $116 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Please note that we have had many inquires about pets, despite stating that they are not allowed, and we are firm about not allowing pets. Views just get better as you go out onto patio and lawn, where the sound of the river is usually all you hear. This house is ground level and can host up to 8 people. In this open plan house, there is a plenty of room and seating areas to gather together for conversations and meals while enjoying river views. Meals can be served at the dining table and a large granite countertop peninsula. A fully equipped kitchen will provide everything you need for home cooking. The main house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bedrooms have a queen size bed, and one bedroom has a king size bed. There is an additional twin size folding bed that can be used in a bedroom or the living room. A couch in the living room can be converted into a bed as well. One bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination and is not attached. Another bathroom has a shower and is attached to the master bedroom. Large lawn between house and river, with BBQ and picnic table for outdoor meals. Peaceful property sits on over 2 acres of land at end of private drive, yet minutes from Grants Pass, hospital, restaurants and supermarket. No houses on opposite side of river (although there is a road) and loudest sound is jetboats in summer. Satellite TV and wireless internet provided. Float lazily down the Rogue, hire a fishing guide, take a Jetboat tour or raft down Hellgate Canyon’s world-famous rapids. Or simply fish from the bank of the property (a fishing license is required), while watching geese, ducks and the occasional osprey or bald eagle. Visit nearby Oregon Caves National Monument or Wildlife Images. Further away but worth it are Crater lake, the coastal redwoods or the Wildlife Safari (a 600-acre drive-through animal park) – each is about 90 minutes away on scenic drives. Go wine tasting in Applegate, Rogue Valley or Umpqua Valley to see why the Wine Enthusiast magazine calls Southern Oregon a “Top 10 Global Wine Destination.” Take in a play at Ashland’s world-famous Shakespeare festival. Go hiking in the nearby woods. Enjoy the quaint shops and restaurants of Grants Pass or nearby towns. Or just enjoy the fireplace while you sit on the granite hearth and watch the river. Our vacation rental is the main part of a house. There is a separate entrance for a self-contained apartment that is the other part of the house, in which we or others may stay.

I definitely recommend this property.

Fabulous place!
The pictures for this house don’t do it justice. It is a beautifully updated home right on the river. It was comfortable, spotless, well appointed, and great location close to town. We hated to leave and would rent it again in a heartbeat! Thank you for offering such a wonderful property!

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves in your beautiful home! The house was perfect and it was really hard to leave and go to a hotel for our last few days. The house had everything we could possible need. We enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen many evenings. The river was so amazing and calming. The location was so peaceful and easy to find. We will definitely be returning. Rogue River Retreat
Our family group of 6 (from California and Washington) met for week of fun on the Rogue River. The house fit our needs perfectly. Very clean, well stocked and on the Rogue River. Kayaked from several of the parks in the area and pulled out right at the house. Fished along the river bank. Loved watching the deer, ducks, geese and osprey along the banks of the river. We would definitely consider this property again when we return to the Grants Pass area.

Lovely house with river view
We very much enjoyed our stay. There are three bedrooms, two with queen beds, and one with a king-sized bed, and two full baths. The kitchen is beautiful with an stovetop, oven, a toaster oven, a large refrigerator, a regular and a Keurig coffee maker, and a dish washer. Pretty much everything you need to cook, clean, or bath was provided. Even a few books and games. There was even a washer and dryer.
Our only complaints (and they're minor) were:
1. The stovetop is electric. Not a big deal unless, like me, you don't like to use them.
2. The owner provided directions to the location, as Google Maps sends you to *almost* the correct location. However, we arrived at night, so it took a while to find the house. A map might be nice.
3. The views of the river were fantastic. The sofa and chairs in the house were nice but not terribly comfortable. It would have been nice to just sit in a cozy chair and watch the river.
4. There is a TV and WIFI, but no DVD player.
5. While there is access to the river, there is only a small area on the property to stand/sit right next to the river, enough for one beach towel or two.
Overall, this is a nice spot.

Very nice stay
We have a family of 7 stay at this beautiful river property. The view from the home was great! Had great big windows to view the river and scenery. The house was perfect size for all of us and nicely kept. We enjoyed our stay. Will be looking to book again on our next trip up to Oregon.

Spectacular
This house is absolutely gorgeous. It has everything you need and more. It's location is central to many activities in and around Grants Pass. The kitchen is stocked with any and all supplies one may need. It is very clean, impeccably decorated and very comfortable. The direct river access is great for the whole family as is the picnic table and fire pit. Mark was easy to get a hold of and communicated clearly the expectations of the house as well as details regarding things happening to the house during our stay there (the dryer needed to be fixed). My family and I had a wonderful time here! Thank you very much Mark!

Beautiful location on the River. Very neat, clean and comfortable.
We stayed here while visiting family in Grants Pass. It was December, so the weather was a little gloomy, but it was nice to wake up and see the river, and the deer and birds. The house was very neat and clean, the beds were comfortable and the owners were very responsive. We would like to come back in the summer.

Excellent spot on the Rogue
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was clean and fully-stocked. It's at the end of a private road so there's no traffic. There's a big grassy lawn for the kids to play, and the view of the Rogue can't be beat. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Grants Pass

Wonderful Little Paradise!
We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful home on the Rouge! The house was redone very nicely and you can’t beat the view of the beautiful Rouge! Great location from town too, with everything fairly close. Mark was always quick to respond when we needed something. Ready to plan our next trip back!

Spectaular View on the Rogue River.
Private property on the river. Relax and watch the wildlife, fishermen, rafters and Jet Boats pass by. Beautiful outdoor space with room for outdoor sports, and furnished with picnic tables, chairs and barbecue. The home is very well equipped and maintained. The only sounds you'll hear is the river rushing by and the call of an Osprey circling overhead, occasionally swooping down to catch a fish for dinner. Indoor board games are also furnished but the great outdoors constantly calls your attention. Sit under the stars in the evening and absorb the solar sights.

Beautiful private home right on the rogue River
My husband and I are from California and came up to grants Pass area to visit our three granddaughters. Mark’s place was a perfect private beautiful home right on the rogue River. We had so much fun with the girls going down into the river bed from the access stairway right off of the huge yard leading from the house. It was very nice having stores and restaurants all conveniently located close to the home but far enough away that the home was still private. We will definitely be going back .

Wonderful family friendly location
Beautiful home recently remodeled on the inside with a large well appointed kitchen comfortable bedrooms, great indoor and outdoor gathering spaces (with barbecue). River views with beach access via stairs. In quiet neighborhood for walking or biking with easy access to town and other activities in the Grants Pass area. Owner friendly and available for questions. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Great house in wonderful location
We stayed here with my mother and two children. There was ample room for everybody in the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is fully fitted and allowed us to comfortably prepare our own meals and eat them at the nice dining table. The entire dining and living room has a spectacular view of the rogue river, which is directly next to the house. The river view and access is the signature feature here. We walked into the river and were able to play with our kids in the water directly next to the house. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I recommend this house!
The location in Grants Pass is good with stores being only a few minutes away and the downtown close by. You will find shops and restaurants downtown. The city offers many diverse activities. The activities are generally outdoors and involve either the river or the forested hills. Many activities require significant driving but are worth it. I recommend the Oregon Caves National Monument and the Safari Park in Winston. The visitors center in downtown Grants Pass will inform you well.

Gorgeous views
We recently rented this home while in town visiting family. There were six of us and had plenty of room. The house is very well appointed and the views of the river cannot be beat. We had a quick question regarding household supplies and the owners were quick to respond and address our question. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to getaway with a quick drive into town, this is a great option. The pictures of the views outside really don't do it justice!
