What a lovely little beach getaway!
The house was superbly appointed, immaculately clean and cozy to boot. The location can’t be beat, just a block from the beach and restaurants. Though tiny, it served as a perfect gathering spot for dinner and game night with friends. The attention to details was much appreciated, including new salt and pepper, fresh and plentiful linens and even a tiny makeup remover towel in the bathroom. Plenty of dish ware,utensils and glassware. We could not have picked a better spot. Janet was an excellent host and it is obvious that she cares and respects her property.
I will definitely consider booking here again in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Alki House. Janet was so welcoming and went through everything with us and nothing was too much trouble. The house is well presented and clean. Bed was very comfy and the garden area was a great place to chill after a busy day exploring the local area. We have been very comfortable here.

My husband and I had the most amazing experience at Janet s vrbo. Beautiful place relaxing close to fabulous restaurants. Janet went over and above on parking down to beach towels and sand toys. Great lady.

The Alki house was the best Alki location you could hope for! 3 buildings up from a lovely cafe. Tons to do within walking distance. Public transportation downtown was cheap and easy and felt safe, even at midnight. The house has everything you could need. Very clean and well appointed. Street parking was not an issue, we found ample spots both days and parked right in front of the house both nights. We will stay again without a doubt.

This house was perfect for my girls weekend! The couch pulled out as a bed so we each had our own sleeping area. Little outside spot was ideal for soaking in the sun and watching passers by. Just a half block from the main drag and minutes to all the restaurants and bars. We will be back!

This is a lovely house close to the beach with lots of cafés and restaurants within an easy walk. Perfect for a couple. Janet was lovely and responsive, and made us feel very welcome.

Our family of 4 stayed in the Alki house for our 3 day visit to Seattle. The location was great (minus fireworks being fired off until late into the night for 4th of July). There were great vibes relaxing at the beach. Good eateries within a short walk or bike ride. The Alki house itself is great with even a better owner. Janet really cares for her guests with a personal introduction to the property. The amenities inside are plenty and the house has a yard space that's great for eating an outdoor lunch or just sitting and playing games. We would stay here again!!!

From the beginning, the communication with Janet was excellent. She was so helpful and even let us check in early after Quantum of the Seas had us off the ship by 11:00. She was waiting for us at the property when our Uber dropped us off, walked us through the property, and explained everything. Even has a very detailed book with maps of the area. Took advantage of Uber Eats for grocery delivery from Safeway. My sister thanks her profusely for the duct tape available that she used to repair her suitcase wheel, and I love it that we got to wash all our clothes. One less task when we got home. Also, easy to find from the beach: the intersection with the Statue of Liberty. And Starbucks is just around the corner.

Owner was terrific in communicating. House was spotless and fully equipped with absolutely anything you’d need. Great location quiet and close to beach and restaurants and 15 minutes in to town and pike place market. Couldn’t have been better for us. Loved our time there. Hope to return.

It was the perfect property for my family in Seattle, we could be downtown in 15 minutes but had all the amazing amenities of Alki Beach that we could walk to within 3 minutes.

Janet is very accommodating and easy to work with! The property is in a great location to Alki Beach and wonderful restaurants in West Seattle. We were very comfortable in the cute home. And the area is very safe. The bathroom felt a little cramped, although it’s still fulfilled our needs. Janet’s home has everything you need – even a yoga mat! We would definitely rent again, and recommend it to others.

This quaint house has its original character preserved. It has a large living area with quality modern furnishings and a small but efficiently equipped kitchen. Its location is ideal, 1/2 block off the waterfront street, walk and beach. Many restaurants and pubs within a short walk. Wonderful Hostess. I will stay again for sure.

The accessibility of this sweet little house to the best dining and strolls West Seattle has to offer, makes for the ideal vacay spot. We loved our little home and yard space. The owner made us very comfortable without any roadblocks. So very grateful for her and this little home.

Everything was great and more than met our expectations. It was a delight to be met by the actual owner, Janet and given a full run down of the property and locality. We found the size of the property was perfect for the two of us and really cozy, but not in a “small” way. Lounge with open fire was nice and spacious and a perfect place to relax after a day out. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and again ideal for the two of us. No complaints, at all, for the property and location with lots of bars nearby and a huge Safeway a 5 minute drive away. Our best experience was getting the free shuttle bus and then the water taxi to downtown Seattle, a great way to go into town without driving. West Seattle and especially Alki beach is a lovely place to spend a few days. Thank you Janet.

House is very cute but very small. The area was great. We were able to walk a few blocks to take the free shuttle to the water taxi. Parking is only on the street but we had no issues. There is a really cute yard and beach gear was provided. The only criticism I have is that the kitchen and bathroom are extremely small. I don’t think I would have been able to comfortably cook meals, however there are many many restaurants in walking distance. Also coffee maker is old and had a funky taste, again Starbucks is about a block away. Overall this was a good rental and I would definitely stay here again.

Janet is a top notch host and the cottage was perfect for my wife and me. We loved the walks along the beach and it's easy access to the Alki shops and restaurants. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay. Highly recommended.

The host met us at the property for a seemless check in. She was very friendly and helpful. The house was a perfect home-base for my partner and I to explore Seatlle and take in the beautiful water around West Seattle. Very convenient access to public transportion and great restaurants. Loved the water taxi! We are already thinking about a return visit and would definitely stay here again. I only wish it were a two bedroom so that we could return with our kids. Great stay!

Wonderful weekend getaway. Loved every minute from the warm and very helpful welcome of our host to the beautiful walks to the many delicious restaurants and the fabulous people you meet along the way! Excellent location, the house is so cute we would hear people comment as they walked by while we played cards on the patio.

This home was just perfect for our annual trip to West Seattle. It is within walking distance to many of our favorite restaurants and is truly a very charming home. Janet was great to work with and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is the second year in a row we've stayed and hope to keep coming. Close enough to enjoy the beach and meal places but set back far enough to not have to deal with all the noise. Love the outdoor patio.
