Slow down, regenerate, create and celebrate! Our private one bedroom-one bath historical schoolhouse in Kempton, PA can be your year round special retreat. We welcome all visitors from a one night romantic wedding night or anniversary getaway, three night girls' weekend, to month long artistic retreat. Paint, hike, bird watch, tour several local award winning wineries, shopping at Cabellas or Vanity Fair Outlets, your options are totally up to you. Or, you can snuggle up in the hammock with a good book or sit on the private stone patio sipping wine while star gazing! A special WELCOME Basket will be presented upon your arrival filled with local farm raised homemade goodies for you to enjoy during your stay. We returned to this lovely place to combine the fall migration at hawk mountain, beautiful surroundings, and rejuvenate as a busy couple. It’s a special place and reasonably priced. All I wanted to do when we got there was open the big beautiful windows and bring in the fresh air and bird/animal sounds (and get rid of mustiness). As before, the windowsills were filled with bugs and though I vacuumed them myself last year, just didn’t want to again. The kitchen had ants (we cleaned out the toaster to rectify). We hoped to enjoy the fire pit on the patio but the tank was empty. We did call about the ants and tank and the property manager replied immediately. Sadly, after a full day on the mountain, we decided not to stay the night and went home early. With a little more attention to cleanliness it would be a perfect destination.
