It is hard to believe that such a quiet and peaceful place like this exists just fifteen minutes from the sometimes bustling Yosemite Valley. NOTE – This listing is for the Lupin Cabin. The listing and availability calendar for the Sage Cabin is also on VRBO/HomeAway under property number 815550. Both cabins are on the same property, have the same floor plan, and are furnished almost identically. Our cabins are very private. You won't be able to take your dog with you on hikes. Each cabin has a TV/DVD player. The TV has no programming, DVD only. There is a small DVD library to pick from or you can bring your own movies. The kitchen has all the cookware and dinnerware that you will need to prepare and serve meals. The kitchen also has a microwave oven, toaster, blender, coffee grinder, and coffee maker. The cabins are heated in the winter by propane heaters that look like wood-burning stoves. Both cabins have evaporative coolers that work great to keep the cabins cool during the summer.. Some cell phones work at the cabins. Verizon is the best. Each cabin has a land-line telephone for use during your stay. There is satellite internet provided by HughesNet. There is a cap on the amount of bandwidth that is available. PLEASE DO NOT STREAM MOVIES OR WATCH VIDEOS AS IT WILL IMPACT GUESTS THAT ARRIVE AFTER YOU. Great location tucked away in Yosemite NP. Lupin is clean, cute and cozy and just minutes from the valley floor making it easy to see all of the landmarks. Our son loved the loft. Great spot to get away and relax.
We'll be back.

I absolutely loved this property. Our host was extremely responsive when I reached out and we had an issue fixed very quickly.
The property was very clean, honestly cleaner than my house on a good day. It was a great property that was warm in the winter, with deer coming by to greet us intermittently.
I loved the proximity to Yosemite Valley. I felt like we absolutely lucked out.
The neighborhood itself is on a dirt road and we had an AWD Subaru, but we could have easily made it with a 2wd vehicle as well.
This was one of my favorite properties of all my vacation properties I've visited. Clean, cozy, great location, and perfect for the morning and end of the day after hiking at Yosemite. Very comfy bed, and I get picky about bedding and mattresses. I would come back hands down a million times. Honestly I could live there I loved it so much.
The Internet over Verizon was better than wifi, as a heads up.

We really enjoyed our winter stay in the cabin. The cabin is very well set up, light, and comfortable. It was a great starting point for day trips to Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove.

I had no idea that there was somewhere to stay so close to the valley. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing, and it was great to drive out of the valley and be at the cabin in such a short amount of time. The BBQ grill worked great, and the cabin listing is true to its word. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute cabin, great for 2-4 people as a place to unwind at the end of the day. It's about 30 minutes from everything so it made it tough to unwind between hikes, but we enjoyed the silence and privacy more. Enough kitchenware to cook meals yourself. Lots of spiders. Plenty of extra blankets, sheets, movies to watch, ect. Owner was very communicative and easy to work with.

Very nice and peaceful, away from the crowds. Great location. It was very nice to stay in such a nice cabin right in the park. Highly recommend!

The Lupin cabin is in a great, quiet setting in Foresta, which is about 20-30 minutes from Yosemite Valley and on the way toward the Tioga Pass. It's centrally located for all top spots in the park. The cabin includes a full kitchen where we did all of our evening cooking and prepared lunches for the next day's hikes. The evenings were cool and the cabin was warm and cozy. A good stay with a fabulous location!

It was a great location.

Great location for exploring Yosemite. Quiet and off the tourist track but convenient. We would definitely stay there again. The gas woodstove came in handy on chilly mornings. Our only suggestion is that the grill was not clean and the stovetop and pots and pans were greasy and needed to be scrubbed before we used them.

We loved our stay at Lupin cabin. The cabin was as described and the bed was very comfortable for a great night’s sleep. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the patio after a long day at Yosemite. Staying at the cabin was the highlight of our California holiday.

We stayed three nights and had a lovely stay. Tucked away off the main Yosemite routes. Blissfully quiet. About 30mins to valley floor. Everything needed was provided, great communications from Steve, and we barbequed every night, eating and sitting out on the front deck. Glorious!
Only thing to note is the sofa bed is very soft and better suited to one child. We had to put the mattress on the floor on top of the sun bed cushions to stop our two teenagers rolling in each other during the night!! I’d say

We enjoyed the Lupin cabin, cooked meals there, and rested well after great hikes in Yosemite. Dark skies, crickets, and late Summer wild flowers delighted us.

This property is perfect if you don’t want to wait in long lines to enter the park and still have a ton of privacy. It saved us hours everyday. The cabin is very clean and well stocked for all your needs. I couldn’t imagine visiting the park and staying anywhere else after staying here.

Great place to stay. Within park boundary and very easy to get around. Bed comfortable and all needed items were available in kitchen. only minor complaint is DVD player did not work but we were out and about so much it really did not matter.

Second time staying here and will be back again. We cooked most of our meals at the house and had everything we needed.
Only advice would be to bring extra towels if you are planning to have some water fun too.

Great little cabin inside Yosemite National Park. Easy drive to the valley. It was great being so close to everything yet far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness of Foresta.

We didn't spend much time in the rental, our primary focus was enjoying the park. Nonetheless, the rental had all the necessary amenities and was conveniently located. The prompt responses to our questions reassured us that this property would suit our travel plans, and the check-in/check-out processes were straightforward and sensible.

Lupin Cabin is in the perfect location, easy 15 minute drive to the Valley while being far enough out of the way from the crowds. Cabin is pristine, full of all essentials, and located in the coolest, old logging community of Forests.

Pros: Cabin was clean, very quiet, and very comfortable. Conveniently located near Yosemite valley, but nice to see the crowds in the rear view mirror at the end of the day. This property is worth it's weight in gold.
Cons: None
Just for travelers information: Verizon works very well at this property. An Ookla speed test showed 80 megabits down and 4 megabits up, with a strong reliable signal.

Loved staying at the Lupin cabin - the location being inside the park was so convenient, and shaved off hours of travel time, especially with the queues at the entrance gate. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bed is super comfy, and the heating made the cabin nice and toasty on the colder mornings.
The area is so quiet and peaceful, and the wildflowers around the cabin were beautiful. It’s also a short walk from Foresta Falls which is really pretty (when it’s flowing!).
Steve was an excellent host - very accommodating, quick to respond and really helpful. We are already thinking of returning in a couple of years to do the parts of Yosemite that were closed during our stay.

Steve was great! He was very kind, to allow us to stay at the Lupin Cabin. Everything he said it would be, it was. It was a great location. Close but not too close to Yosemite Valley. It was clean and very comfortable. Literally a home away from home. My wife Karen enjoyed her birthday at the cabin. We would love to stay there again.
