About this house rental
Nestled in Sarasota, this lovely house for $201 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This totally renovated adorable beach cottage is located less than a 10 minute drive to Siesta Key. Siesta Key is a beach destination highlighted on many travel lists as one of the top 10 beaches in the U.S.A. My 1950's style Florida beach cottage underwent a complete renovation top to bottom. It has been thoughtfully updated and tastefully decorated to offer a dream house effect allowing guests to feel on vacation yet still as if they are right at home. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage house can accommodate a maximum of 5 guests. While there is plenty of sleeping, sitting and relaxing space in this spacious open concept floor plan, the 5 person maximum is to ensure our guest's experience is that of absolute comfort. As the home owner, I am passionate about my home and will always remain closely engaged with the upkeep of our property and the satisfaction of my guests. The green, canopied spacious front yard was recently covered with 5000 lbs of crushed sea shells and is graced with the addition of newly planted tropical trees giving it the feel of a botanical garden. Extra rooms such as the screened furnished patio and large Florida Room make it easy for everyone to have their own quiet private space. Guests may also easily find communion with this open floor plan, while lounging in the living room, snacking at the dining table or cooking in the kitchen. There is high speed cable with a wide variety of channels and FREE HIGH SPEED WIFI. My home is a serene respite after a long day and is exactly suited for the discerning traveler. I AM DOG FRIENDLY! I love our furry animal friends and am responsible for a few of my own; however I only allow WELL-BEHAVED dogs. The pet policies are straight forward and cater to owners of clean well-behaved pooches. The pet policies need to be reviewed before booking. There is NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR DOGS and there is a maximum limit of 2 dogs at any given time. While there are plenty of fresh linens and towels available at the house, I have an outdoor shower and designated dog towels too. Please keep your dogs off of the furniture (unless you throw down an old sheet or dog blanket) and leashed when outside of the house at all times. Guests are required to inform us about their pets before booking and any other pets that are visiting the property during their stay. I highly recommend dog beach (http://www.exploringsarasota.org/dog-parks.html) and insist that your furry friend take a thorough rinse with fresh water and a good drying after every swim in the ocean. A washer and dryer is available in the house which makes for light packing and more relaxing time. The private cottage is nestled on a shaded street just 10 minutes from Siesta Key beach and downtown Sarasota. You will find a wide variety of shops, restaurants and nightlife downtown, on Siesta Key and Lido Key. The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (one of the top performing arts centers in the US) is just down the road as are too many restaurants and shops to count. I also happily provide guests with recommendations of some my favorite places to dine in this fresh seafood paradise which continues to host a wide variety of culinary diversity. Within reasonable driving distance for day adventures you will find Tampa, Clearwater, St.Petersburg and Anna Maria Island and the enumerable beaches and places of interests that dot the Gulf Coast. My home is the ideal place to set down your roots and flip flops and feel right at home while either on a long-term vacation or on a short-term getaway. The home is green and I ask guests to be mindful of energy, recycling and guest rules - thank you advance for being conscientious and treating my home as you would your own. We really enjoyed our stay. The property is in a great location accessible to Downtown Sarasota, local beaches and amenities. The rental was clean and well decorated. All we needed was our food and some necessities and we were set for the weekend. Host was a great communicator and available when we had questions. Great experience overall!

We had a great time spending a bit more than one week at this lovely property. The house looks and feels as described, everything is neatly decorated and makes you feel at home as soon as you open the door. Lots of extras are included with the rental (i.e. towels and beach towels, foldable beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.) plus the kitchen is very well equipped, so there's really no need to get anything extra to enjoy your stay in Sarasota. House and surroundings very well-kept and clean, as well. Quiet neighborhood close to Bee Ridge and lots of shops / places to eat. Takes about 10-15 mins to the beach at Siesta Key by car, 4 bikes are supplied as well - it was too hot outside to use them during our stay. Judy is a very accomodating and friendly host. Can 100% recommend.

The property was exactly as described online it was also clean and nicley decorated. It was stocked with things for a day at the beach and met all our needs. The property manager checked in with us and gave places and idea's for our vacation. We couldnt have asked for more

Jude is a gracious host who's accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable with local attractions. The cottage is just like the pictures and tastefully decorated. Its super clean and all the furniture are in great shape. The property is also well stocked with daily basic necessities and beach gear. The location of this cottage is SUPERB as its close to everything from restaurants, shops and beaches. It's one of the best located properties we stayed for the close proximity to variety of great attractions.

This property was perfect for our week in Sarasota. It was centrally located and a short drive to the places we wanted to go each day. The house was outfitted with everything we needed for cooking, trips to the beach, etc. Very clean and very comfortable and slept well too! We absolutely loved this beautiful cottage home! We stayed for the weekend, it was perfect! Everything we needed was available. The owner was an absolute sweetheart, and very attentive. The home was very clean, cozy, and private. Jude was so welcoming of my fur babies, and even they loved it there!! We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a nice place to stay. Easy! Property Manager is SO kind and available without ever feeling like she’s lurking! We were arriving after 11 pm and she insisted we text her so she’d know we were settled in; so sweet.
Just as the photos; everything is just perfectly decorated and yet not at all uncomfortable or fussy. Property is very convenient to shopping, beaches, day trips and a surprise; quiet and private despite being on a more trafficked/less residential road.
This is a different price point than we usually rent (generally more people on our party/bigger house). We were really pleased and would rent here again.

We highly recommend this property because of the exceptional location to everything and how quaint and homey it was! The owner went above and beyond to welcome and assist us with any questions. Excellent stay on every level. Comfy beds and couches. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Lovely surroundings with great screen porch and a comfy backyard, nice table and chairs. The property was absolutely immaculate, with attention to every detail! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook…utensils, seasonings, plastic bags, everything you could think of. We didn’t have to buy any extras items (except for food) when we made meals. Also, Judith was so easy to work with. Every little detail is beautifully done. She takes such care to make each room cozy and inviting.
It took us about ten minutiae get to Siesta Key by car.

Our week long stay was wonderful. The home reminded us a great deal of Maine as we vacation there every summer. The house was as clean as a whistle, fully stocked with whatever you can think of, close proximity to just about everything. Thank you Judy for renting your home to us. Happy Holidays! We stayed five nights at Jude’s lovely house and everyone in the family loved it. Everything was clean, beautiful and beautifully thought of. Not only could we cook properly but we could go perfectly equipped to the beach.
Above all we slept very well and experienced Jude as a lovely host who was so friendly, helpful and always approachable. Now that we are back home the first thing my daughter said after waking up was: „I want to go back to THE HOUSE.

My wife and I were celebrating becoming "empty nesters" with a week in one of our favorite cities, Sarasota! We were here for antiquing, kayaking, foodie quests, coffee shops, beach time, naps, reading, and just being. Jude's place was the ideal location for us to experience it all. The vibe of her place is one-of-a-kind. Not your typical white ratan and tile ubiquitous beach condo. Also, it's clear Jude is an experienced host. She's thought of everything and every need. We hope to return again and have friends join us next time. Definitely, a place worth sharing.

We stayed at Judith’s house for a week with our two children and our 30 foot Airstream. The house is extremely charming, well equipped with everything you need. The location is perfect as well. Judith was very accommodating and responsive and we would highly recommend her place to anyone coming to Sarasota!

We stayed here last year and liked it so much that we brought some friends with us this time! Location is superb, close to beaches and downtown Siesta Key, but without the really high price tag. Can't wait to stay again!

Gorgeous and cozy
This property is amazing. The house has a beach vibe and is located in a very strategic location. Lovely decor and colors…very peaceful and relaxing. Jude was very diligent and helpful. I recommend this property if your are looking for a nice beach house close to Siesta Key and St Armand Key, to include a friendly manager. I give it a 10/10, and already told my friends about this property. House has everything you need; one only needs to bring lots of energy to enjoy your vacation.
