About this house rental
Nestled in Port Aransas, this charming house for $768 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Private Balcony on 3rd Floor is CLOSED until further notice. Introducing Barefoot Dreams 616SCD. This 5 bedroom, 4 bath pet friendly beach house, sleeps 14 and is just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Spacious living/dining/kitchen area with large TV, DVD. Modern kitchen equipped for family gatherings! The 1st floor (with its own private entrance) has Bedroom 2, with a queen bed, sleeper sofa, and bathroom. The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed – they share a bathroom. The 3rd floor has the primary bedroom with a king bed, a new flat screen tv, private bath and private balcony! Bedroom 5, 3rd floor as well, has a queen bed, sleeper sofa, and private bath. This oasis has a fenced in yard with a wonderful sitting area under the palapa and and a nice patio area with a propane grill. Guests do not get garage access – but there is plenty of spacious parking in the driveway (4 – 6 spaces depending on size of vehicle). Please be aware there are external cameras on this property. Pool can be heated for an additional $100 + tax per night, for the duration of your stay. Please request when making reservations. Takes at least 24 hours to heat the pool. We had a group of 9 adults and 3 kids three and under. Overall the property was great—-close to the beach, clean, great property management, especially over a holiday weekend/week. I gave it 4 stars because the kitchen could’ve been better equipped—-there was not enough silverware or glassware for 14 people ( my in-laws stayed at a hotel but ate with us). In addition, one does not need 20 knives or plastic bowls or frying pans, but some Pyrex to store leftovers in, etc… Also I needed to buy the right kind of coffee filters and there was no tea kettle. But, overall, the property was very good and spacious and we had a fabulous time!

This place was so roomy! We had a big group come for a friendcation & there was a whole bunch of kids! It was like half a block from the beach! The house stayed so cool! It was so nice and clean! We’re definitely going to be back!

SO..THE DOWNSTAIRS AC WAS DRIPPING DOWN THE WALL AND ON TO THE FLOOR. WE CALLED MGT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND MAINT...THEN I SENT HER PICS OF THE WALL WITH THE WATER BUBBLE AND WET FLOOR SO THEY KINDA GOT AN IDEA...THANK GOODNESS MGT CALLED AND SAID "I'M GOING TO MOVE YOU..WE CAN'T WORK ON THIS WHILE YOU ARE THERE....I WAS SO GRATEFUL! Great place we have stayed here the past 3 years and it looks like it was just getting better. We have this place booked again for Labor Day weekend. It’s close to the beach, great room for parking and nice pool. It was even better when it included the Go Cart but I heard they did away with that 😞. That WAS the cherry on top. Especially using the Island Outfitters shout to them and their service with the carts. Please bring it back!!! Overall it’s a great house for large families. Port A Escapes has always been great with any issues and easy check in and check outs.

This was our 2nd stay here. last was 5 years ago. We love the house and the pool and location but this stay was very disappointing. I think house has sold. House was run down and not being kept up with. Showers were difficult to get a steady stream. Upper balcony not accessible boards on railing were not nailed down in places the grill was absolutely nasty snd should be thrown away. Pool area was unkept landscaping looked bad and the outside shower required to get in pool did not work. House could just use some maintenance.

This is a perfect house for large groups, 14 in our family. The open floor plan of the main living space comfortably fit all when we gathered esp for meals. Beds were very comfortable. One issue was the bbq grill was very dirty we did not use it but would have liked to. Skillets & bakeware were very worn. Overall great house, beautifully decorated, very close to beach, nice outdoor areas, pool was clean. We had an enjoyable time & will definitely return.

We rented barefoot dreams for our family. 8 adults and 6 children under 7. The home was clean and we loved the open floor plan. Everyone had a place to sleep and we loved the pool. It was perfect for.our little ones. We used our golf cart to make quick trips to the beach and to town.

My grandaughter (age 3) kept saying, " I love this house!" Great accommodations and very close to the beach which was great. Nice fenced yard for the dog. Some minor issues were promptly taken care of which was impressive. Would recommend.

House was huge, very clean and in a great location. Only issues were the light in the pool and canopy didn’t work. I didn’t have access to the upper balcony as is was locked from the outside. And the outdoor shower to rinse sand wasn’t working. Maintenance did show up Saturday morning but couldn’t fix it. A little bummed I didn’t get the whole package. Would I stay here again? Heck yeah! I understand that with a rental it may not be perfect. So out of 5 stars I would say 4.5. I’m confident these issues will be addressed. See ya in September!

We loved returning to Barefoot Dreams on Sandcastle Dr. Our first time post-Harvey and post -Covid, the only thing we missed we’re the o po angry items that are usually there. BUT we had use of a golf cart! Not a bad trade off. So bring your own sugar, spices, oil, and shampoo, and be ready to have a great time at the beach and pool. Plenty of room inside and out. Our family of 10 did NOT want to leave!

We’ve stayed here 3 years in a row and it has only gotten better with the addition of a beach cart that get delivered and picked up at the property. The location is great right by the beach the house was clean. Our only complaint was that we were bitten by ants in whatever room we stayed at. They were coming out of the wall sockets and climbing up your charging cable. But overall it was great even though it rained all weekend we still made the best of it and had a blast. I would recommend this house to anyone.

The house was great location and was clean. The yard was over grown. The back yard flower beds were full of weeds and trash from previous guests. The backyard pool area was not well maintained for the price you pay for this property. We arrived Sunday afternoon and the pool was full of sand from previous guest and there was a pile of old pool floaties piled up. The property was a great one, I just feel it could of been more cleaned up on the outside for the price you pay for it. I spent two hours cleaning up the backyard and pool area when we first got there.

Property was in great location-close to town and beach.
There were a few maintenance issues with the pool and the A/C in first floor apartment.
The pool’s filter system was not working right and the pool company had to come out twice to clean. The property management company was always quick to respond and very nice.

The home was beautiful, however the heated pool was a huge disappointment. With the frigid temperatures, we looked for a quick get away with Family - with the luxury of a heated pool, but unfortunately, we were not able to use it. Temps in the pool ranged from 42 degrees to 66 degrees on the day we were set to leave. We notified the Rental company daily and they tried to get the issue resolved - But unfortunately, no resolution during our stay.

Great stay. This is our 5th time in this house. It has everything you need. The pools is great. Everything works as it should. The house was very clean when we got there. My only suggestion would be to replace the shower head in the downstairs apartment.

This was our 4th year to stay in this house! It is a perfect location, has everything you need, clean and fun! But seriously, get new mattresses! We learned after the first year to bring foam mattress toppers for all of the beds.

"Barefoot Dreams" was an absolutely perfect vacation rental for my family. The bottom level "apartment" is only accessible from an outside door, and it contains a bedroom and bathroom with a pull-out sofa bed. There is no kitchenette, but there is a small refrigerator provided. The second level contains two bedrooms (queens in each), a bathroom, a very well-equipped kitchen and a living area with a big screen tv. Super comfy! Upstairs is the master bedroom with a second bedroom (queen bed + a sleeper sofa.) Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The pool area is AMAZING! It is closed in, so pets or children cannot escape! The beach is within easy walking distance (possibly three blocks away), but lugging beach gear might be tiresome. (We rented a beach buggy.) Again- the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, coffee pot, corkscrews (important), a can opener... etc. TAKE YOUR OWN WASHING MACHINE DETERGENT because you will be asked to throw towels in before you leave, and my husband had to run to the store because no pods or detergent was provided. I highly recommend this beach house!!!
