Featured on HGTV! This seaside cottage features 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. It is only 1 lot away from the ocean with ocean views from the kitchen, living room, and deck. There is easy beach access that is only a few steps (65 feet) away! This cottage is less than a half mile from the Pamlico Sound, which is a world class destination for kite boarding, wind surfing, and fishing. Upon arrival you will find a complimentary welcome package including 1 Roll of Paper Towels, 2 Rolls of Toilet Paper,1 Bottle of Dish Soap,1 Bottle of Laundry Detergent, 1 Bottle of Hand Soap, 2 Dishwasher Pods, and 1 Sponge in a reusable tote Bag to help you get settled. Only bed linens are provided. Bath towels are available for rental. This cottage also features 4 flat-screen TV's, roku soundbar 2021, high-speed internet, wheeleez beach cart, and a 44 jet hot tub. Enjoy coffee (commercial keurig and brewed),or cocktails on the swing inside the screened-in porch overlooking the waves. This beach side cottage has a recently remodeled kitchen which features new quartz counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There are 2 newly renovated bathrooms which have granite vanities and glass vessel sinks. Bluetooth shower head in min bathroom. Of the three bedrooms, two have queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Beds have memory foam toppers and 100% cotton high-quality John Robshaw designer hand dyed, hand sewn bedding . From the screened in porch and front deck you can hear, smell, and see the ocean! This home also features an outdoor shower, charcoal Grill, stereo, CD and DVD player, and keurig brewing station. We encourage you to view our other rental VRBO 2014620 for a very similar cottage that is located just steps away. Based on availability, these two cottages would provide the perfect solution for those traveling in larger groups so that everyone can have their own space yet still be together. The cottages are perfect for young families with a no traffic beach access. This area of the Outer Banks has several well equipped tackle shops and great restaurants. During the summer months the beaches have multiple sea turtle nesting sites and incredible shelling opportunities. It is a short beach walk to Rodanthe pier. You can take a drive south to Buxton to see and tour the Hatteras Island light house or take the free ferry to Ocracoke island, the HQ for the famous pirate Blackbeard. If you travel north there are also interesting things to visit like the Jockey's Ridge State Park and of course, the Wright Brothers Museum. Footprints is dog friendly, and there is a $150.00 pet fee per dog. * We do not rent on Craigslist.

There is nothing I would change about this cottage.
It was perfect 😍 location with a very short walk to the beach 🏖️.The beach was clean and not crowded at all. Great for fishing 🎣 , swimming or just plain relaxing 😎 & soaking up the ocean 🌊 views ☀️. 🤫 Quiet neighborhood with all the houses nicely maintained. The cottage is right next to a KOA campground ⛺️ but that never was a issue sound wise.
The decor in the cottage had the best beachy vibes throughout it. The beds are so comfortable and cozy. The 2 bathrooms were perfect size. They really utilized all the sq footage here. You won’t feel cramped at all with 6 adults here. The hot tub was delightful especially at nite sitting underneath the stars ⭐️. Loved the view from on the upper deck. And the screened in porch was bonus area. The kitchen was superb with all the essentials and then some. You honestly don’t need to bring anything with you for cooking wise it’s all there. The Rodanthe fishing pier was a quick 5 minute drive up the road. And the fishing there was hopping 🔥 🐠. Along with all the local restaurants,shopping,tackle stores,food markets & bars we rarely had to venture out of town. It was a short drive to Hatteras for the lighthouse and horseback riding @ Equine Adventures. We also enjoyed a Charter fishing trip too. Thank you again and we definitely will be booking this again next year. Thank you ☺️ for being the perfect host!!!

It’s not on the beach but it may as well be. If you are reading this you already know where it is - but it’s a lot quieter than we expected.
Clean for a rental, decently maintained, relatively recently updated, has enough cups and plates and overall is good value. Would go back.

The house is pretty, well-appointed, and well decorated. The space is clean and modern. More lights under the house would brighten it in the evenings, but it is nice and is usable as-is. The beach was slightly crowded, which is unsurprising given the proximity of campgrounds. Evenings on the porch were fantastic, with a nice cool breeze and perfect temperatures. Easy access to the beach, convenient location, would recommend.

Great stay! Close to beach access. Was good for younger people, my 80 year old mom could not get onto the beach via the access. Just drive a short ways done the road to a beach access with flat ground.

Lovely home just steps from a very nice beach. Well appointed and perfect for a family vacation. Obviously well cared for property with everything you could need for a short or long stay.

Perfect for what we wanted. Cleaners had not vacuumed under couch or beds and missed dusting certain areas but overall felt clean.

We (4 adults, 1 small dog) spent a fantastic week in this beach cottage. The beach was just steps away, the kitchen was well appointed which made Thanksgiving cooking a breeze, and we loved lounging on the porch in the hot tub or the porch swing. WiFi was fast and the decor was lovely. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at this super cute beach cottage. We had all the comforts of home and more. The kitchen is well stocked and the decor is second to none! Only a few steps from the ocean. Loved the hot tub as well.

We had such a relaxing time on our OBX vacation. Some things we loved about this property:
- how close it was to the beach!
- the wheelbarrow provided to cart your stuff to the beach was a lifesaver. With two boys, this helped carry all the toys!
- close proximity to activities. We rented a surf board and visited Charlie’s to try our jet skis for the first time.
- the house was very cute with all the beach theme decor!
- the outdoor shower- I’m pretty sure most of the family ONLY used this shower and loved it!
- appreciated the midweek hot tub cleaning; though we spent so much time at the beach we did not take advantage of this as much as I thought we would.
Really the only aspect of this property that fell short was related to cleanliness. When we arrived there was a soiled cushion on the porch (which we just left in the same spot as we weren’t sure what was on it) and our pup found a broken outdoor item in a corner. The main area that needs a good scrubbing is the kitchen (which is common in rentals) and under furniture (dust/sand). We ended up pre washing a lot of our dishes and pots/pans prior to use.
Still really enjoyed our stay and would return.

We stayed at Footprints for a week with a teenager and our dog. The house is not only spacious and beautiful, but it is very comfortable. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever experienced in a Vrbo home! The hosts have thought of every little detail to make the guests’ stay a pleasant one. Foot prints is very close to the beach and all the restaurants, stores, and other needs in the area. The covered and open decks were great places to gather and the hot tub was an unexpected bonus. We did not have any issues that needed the hosts’ attention during our stay, but when we had a couple of questions, they answered immediately. We would certainly return and recommend Footprints to others for a relaxing vacation.

I rented this property for a family of 4 adults. One of which had some mobility issues and myself who is 7 months pregnant. Consequently, we were looking for a house that was close to the beach and this property couldn't have been better. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house came well stocked with kitchen supplies. We absolutely loved the covered porch and the hot tub. I was a bit worried that being so close to an RV campground would be noisy at night and have larger beach crowds but we had absolutely no problems.

We loved Footprints house with the unique decorations. The screened in porch and swing were amazing and we used the tub every night. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen has all kinds of pans and pot for and every possible utensil for any occasion. The fridge and all appliances are modern and the best.
The neighborhood is quiet and even though the house is between 2 RV parks, the house still feels secluded. Communication with owners was fast -there was a new password for WIFi (which works great). The house is very close to the beach. We were greeted with a welcome gift (float) and a small but valuable and necessary starter pack of toilet paper, detergent and dish wash soap.
Just one thing: the colorful couch sits 3 people to watch TV, but no more. I would suggest an L-shaped couch there so more people can use the living room. (Was right for our family of 5 adults (grown up kids)
Also wanted to mention that proximity of 2 RV trailer parks did not increase noise, but the beach was very crowded for Rodante . Overall the house is adorable and updated and we will definitely come back :

It was a great location. We had more family renting across the street. The house was beautifully decorated and the space under the house was great for relaxing in the hammock or on the swing or playing corn hole.

Wonderful!
Footprints was perfect! Very toddler and dog friendly. It had almost everything you'd need (except toddler booster) so we were set! The location was great and the RV parks were never an issue. Very clean, cute decor, highly stocked with convinces and the hot tub was an added bonus. The fat wheel wagon saved us on our trips to the beach and our daughter enjoyed the books provided. Would highly recommend!

I LOVED this house!
This was smaller than I expected, but so charming, and so practical, and there were nautical touches throughout that were more to my taste than usual, so I found myself feeling very affectionate toward this owner/house. The only reason I took off a star on cleanliness was the floor really needs waxing (not to be slippery which I would not want, but so the sand can be completely swept up). So the floors were a disappointment to me. Now, my parents lived here on the OBX and we were taught not to bring sand into the house, but of course, it's inevitable, so ... I bought two cloth bathroom throw rugs from dollar general and put them in the house, one at the front door, and one in front of the fridge (to catch ice spinters). REALLY like the house VERY much. It's more a traditional OBX cottage than a modern huge rental, which is definitely more to my taste, after coming here for over 40 years. I wished also there had been a hose from the outdoor bib (on the far side of the steps) that ran over to the front part of the steps, to be used to wash off feet and get rid of sand... AND I have to say the "under the house" part was great for small kids, like a huge sandox.

We had such a good time at foot prints I wish I could do it all over again . Very short walk to beach, cozy decor - the kitchen had everything you could think of and more . We really enjoyed this property . HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! Happy summer :)

Great stay
We loved staying here! The quick walk to the beach along with the beach cart made things very simple with our toddler. They provide beach chairs and toys as well. We loved sitting on the deck and listening to the waves! The house has everything you need and has such a cozy, beachy feel. The owner was very quick to respond when we had questions. We hope to come back many times in the future!

Adorable Cottage!
We loved this cottage! It is exactly the vibe we were looking for - so cute, but modern, comfortable, clean, with all the amenities... and steps from the beach - we went back and forth at least four times a day. My husband loved the hottub, I read a lot on the deck and screened porch, our adult son took day trips for nature hikes each day, and our beagle mostly just napped, because apparently she is not a beach lover. Donna and James were very reachable and excellent hosts. We highly recommend a stay here!

We loved the screened in porch where we ate almost all of our meals. We ended most of our days out in the front porch where my husband enjoyed the hot tub, and I read with the dog on my lap, listening to the sound of the waves. The house itself is cute and cozy, decorated with a coastal theme. The town was also lovely- not as busy and crazy as Kitty Hawk, but still with a few restaurants to enjoy, and it was centrally located so that we could easily take quick trips north or south and really explore the whole Outer Banks.

Was pleased with home. The floors were vacuumed cleaned but upon using a wet swifter we’re noticeably dirty. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks

Loved the location and the options available at this home! During our stay, we had rain, mist, wind, and sun. This house provided options for all! During heavier rain and wind, we used the screened in porch that was protected from the wind. During the mist, we hung out in the hot tub and looked at the ocean view. When the sun was out, we used the deck or walked 1 min to the ocean. It was beautiful and we look forward to booking again!
