I had read the multiple reviews but decided they all said about the same thing so i would give it a try. Stayed for 30 days while transitioning jobs. There is nothing the owner can do about his neighbors but in the afternoon the smell from the laundry room likely through the vent was often pretty pungent. Apparently they cant afford good weed. The location feels somewhat remote even though there is stuff within a mile i wouldn’t recommend walking to it. I f you watch On patrol live you will recognize many areas extremely close by. While i never felt unsafe I was always on alert. My car was there every night and never messed with. Yes 2 blocks down is a very nice lake neighborhood this is not 2 blocks down. The outside of the place looks close to condemned status, rotten wood siding rickety rails. The inside however was nicely redone. The kitchen ware supplied could use a little help most everything you need except for usable tongs or a spatula. Its is a good base for say a Ft Jackson graduation or something. Good amout of space. Would not recommend this to most of my friends but would stay again bug im a little more Urban savvy than they are.

Easy to find, good communication with the property owner, as described, everyone had a great time playing cards, eating and sharing with my granddaughter, who graduated from US Army basic training.

our son attended basic training at fort jackson and we were lucky enough to find this place. cheaper than most hotels, close enough (20 minutes) to post to make it very convenient and quite comfortable. tim was great and very responsive to my questions. would highly recommend it.

True, the curb appeal doesn't match the interior of this condo. The host has went above and beyond with the little details to make this unit very nice and above average. The beds were very, very comfortable, with "My Pillows" on both beds with a comfy mattress and top of the line sheets. The host provideed coffee, TWO coffee makers and the bathrooms were loaded with shampoos, conditioners, body washes and tissue flowers. Tim put little details that says welcome. We will stay here again on our next trip to Ft Jackson.

The condition of the outside of the apartment building is disceiving (a little run down), but the inside is very nice and modern. Very clean and very quiet. The apartment is an end unit on the 2nd floor. Everything worked well - water pressure, stove, toaster, AC, fans, refrigerator, wifi - all good! There was a washer/dryer, too, but we did not use them. Perfect, quiet spot in a safe neighborhood across from a church that is great for adults or whole families (the lake at the end of the road is surrounded by a lovely neighborhood). Thanks!

The pictures doesn't do this place justice like it should. The kitchen has perfect appliances. Well decorated and felt like home. The beds are extra comfy. Great balcony. My family and I will always stay here when we come to South Carolina. Thanks Tim

My family enjoyed the weekend getaway which included a visit to the zoo and dinner with a good friend we had not seen in years…the apartment was as pictured so no complaints…one suggestion to cover the sectional due to multiple stains but it was very comfortable… we appreciated your hospitality and would definitely recommend the property to others…thanks again

Spic and span condo. Roomy and very well kept. Fairly quiet neighborhood. You will hear some traffic noise from the interstate nearby. Super-comfy king beds. Very responsive host. Complex is a bit rundown but not a major issue.

This property is in a run down, terrible neighborhood. When we got there we decided it was not safe to stay here. The host would not communicate with us and we contacted VRBO who spoke with him. He refused a refund. I re-read all the reviews and many of them when read showed a bad experience but for some reason they were 5 star. This was by far my worst experience on VRBO.

Very attractive and comfortable apartment. The inside is nice and clean. The outside seems a little questionable and the complex management company should paint or put siding on the outside. Outside It smelled like our stay in Amsterdam with the weed aroma but it was quiet and we only saw a very few people coming and going. Quick 15 minute drive to downtown Columbia. We would stay here again

This place exceeded expectation and made our stay so much easier knowing we had such a nice, clean apartment so close to base. Also, the owner was very receptive to a semi-last-minute change of plans as the Army kept throwing curveballs. Cannot recommend highly enough. Internet was fast and TV had plenty of channels.. kitchen is fully stocked. And so so so clean! Iron and board. Washer and dryer. Perfect. One thing our ladies mentioned as a possible tiny improvement were maybe if there were a full-size mirror or two on the back of a door or something just because so many people will likely be getting ready to go to graduation... but seriously 11 out of 10 stars! Thanks!

This is a 2-bedroom apartment located on the second level of the complex. Not so convenient to carry luggage and baby gear to back of building and then up the stairs. First thing you smell when you walk through door is overwhelming pot odor. Complex looks run down, but inside of apartment was nicely furnished with exception of stains on carpet, living/dining area furniture, decorative pillows on sofa/chair/beds. There was also dried toothpaste on sink in bathroom. Wi-fi password did not work. However, having the extra space with kitchen and washer/dryer was nice, and it was a very short drive to Fort Jackson. We were charged a cleaning fee in addition to the daily rate, but we were asked to put towels on washing machine and take out the trash. Overall, it was a good stay.

The unit itself is very nice, decorated beautifully and very spacious. The apartments are just older and close to the interstate. It was very convenient to go to Fort Jackson to visit our son and also not too far from lovely downtown Columbia’s restaurants & entertainment.
