Situated in Nelson, this lovely house for $142 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. WE ARE SORRY TO REPORT THAT NEW PROVINCIAL GOVERMENT REGULATIONS DO NOT ALLOW SHORT TERM RENTAL OF THE STANLEY STREET HOUSE AFTER MAY 1, 2024 AS IT IS NOT OUR PRINCPAL RESIDENCE. THIS MAKES LITTLE SENSE (ARG@#$%) AS WE ARE PERMANANT PART TIME RESIDENTS. THE PLACE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR LONG TERM RENTAL. The Stanley Street House has been totally updated in keeping with it's heritage roots and the architecture of the neighborhood. This spacious home, central to all the amenities of Nelson, comfortably accommodates 4 adults and 2 kids. Upper floor renovations include a full bathroom, 2 large bedrooms, each with queen beds, and a private nook off the 2nd bedroom perfect for sleeping 2 children on single beds. In a pinch, there is also a pull-out sofa-bed in the downstairs living room. The main level has a nice layout for family gatherings, featuring high ceilings, a bright modern kitchen flowing into a large dining room, in turn opening into the main living room with a gas fire-place and TV. The entry hall, a full bathroom and convenient laundry nook are segregated from the living and entertaining areas on the main floor. There is also a delightful covered outdoor patio, BBQ and vegetable garden off the kitchen. The Stanley Street House has free WI-FI, plenty of space, central gas heating and summer air conditioning, and all new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems making for reliable comfort in your home-away-from-home. Baker Street and the iconic downtown Nelson featuring street entertainment, festivals, cool shops, art outlets, lively bars, live theater, great restaurants, a bright new recreation center, and the marvelous Touchstones Museum and Art Gallery are short five-minute walk. Family parks (e.g. Gyro and Lakeside Parks) are close by. Comfortable, relaxed, easy living in the Kootenay. Endless outdoor recreational opportunities. Epic skiing in winter; hiking, biking, renowned lakeside parks, kayaking and boating in summer.

A superbly located, spacious and extremely well equipped property with great character. The house felt spacious and was very comfortable for our needs (2 adults and our adult children). We made good use of the barbecue and seated area outside. The AC inside was effective. Lots of shops and restaurants are in very easy walking distance yet the house is also in a peaceful location. We found plenty to do in and around Nelson: Pulpit Rock and flagpole hike (and plenty of other hikes), lake beaches, boat hire, zip lining, the hot springs and white-water rafting. I would highly recommend this property.

This is a stellar property just up the hill from downtown Nelson and as easy walk anywhere. (albeit hilly!). The home is VERY VERY well stocked, uber clean, super comfy and simply fantastic. Can't wait to stay there again. Thank you!

This property is so well equipped & is a grea location in Nelson. We were able to visit a number of eating establishments, within walking distance.....although the return uphill got our senior hearts beating! Golfing was our main focus as well as visiting the surrounding area & the Stanley House was a great spot to return turn each day. Highly recommend!

My two sister's and I were at the property for 5 days. It was in an ideal location, accessible to the town centre, shops and restaurants. It was incredibly well appointed we had everything we needed including an outdoor patio and BBQ. It is a renovated property that keeps its old world charm. The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. The host was very communicative and we had all the information we need to work everything. We met the neighbours too who were helpful and hospitable. A wonderful stay we would highly recommend this property.

Stayed here for a week with our 2 year old son. We really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed. Brian was a most hospitable host with great communication. The weather was hot all week (35 degrees +) and the AC kept us comfortable and cool inside. The children's bedroom (with two kids' beds) doesn't have an AC vent and did get quite hot (even with fan). This may be a consideration for larger families. We moved our son to another bedroom, so wasn't an issue for us. Overall, highly recommend this property, hope to stay here again!

We loved our stay in Stanley House. The house is beautifully equipped with all that is necessary to make for a great holiday. The air conditioning was a real plus given the days we occupied the property were hot ones. The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable, living room great for a group and outside seating area perfect for a morning coffee or evening meal. An additional great feature is its proximity to downtown Nelson. We walked into the city several times. The house was quite simply perfect. We'd love to stay again!

This is a lovely house. We would highly recommend this property. The kitchen is very well outfitted. Location is so close to town, but still quite at night. Brian was extremely helpful and communications were excellent. All around a very nice place. We hope to stay here again next year.

Our week at this beautifully maintained and decorated home allowed us the experience of living like a Nelson local while feeling like we were visiting grandma’s house one more time. If only the walls could speak of the history, of the families who tread on those squeaky hardwood stairs. We enjoyed our stay.

Brian's place is an ideal spot for a family/friend getaway in beautiful Nelson, BC. The lovely heritage house is located in the heart of town. It is spacious, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare and serve a big family feast. We all enjoyed the cozy feeling of home and the convenience of being a short walk town and all it's amenities. Thanks, Brian.

The property is a nicely redone multi unit home. It is very well stocked and supplied with everything you would need for your stay. The parking is on the street but was not a problem. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.

This house is a perfect location... a short walk to the shops and restaurants on and around Baker Street and quick bike or drive to many trails. While it was just me for the most part, it is a really good setup for two couples or a family. Very nicely renovated and tastefully decorated with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. I'd love to stay here again some day!
