Nestled in Newberg, this lovely condo for $127 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Windrose Vacation Rental is a one bedroom, 1.5 bathroom suite with a living room, kitchenette, sitting area, and walk-in closet. It is located in the lower level of a 3500 square foot European style home. It is perfect for a couple visiting Oregon’s premier wine country (over 70 wineries located within a 5 mile radius!), a centrally located point to many of Oregon's classic attractions (Oregon Coast 1 hour away, Columbia River Gorge and hiking 1.5 hours away, Mt. Hood 1.5 hours away) or you want to experience a few of our local 4-5 star restaurants. Your suite looks out onto 1.5 acres of park like setting with deer, squirrels, beaver, and other wildlife. It overlooks a creek and wooded area and you can take your glass of wine and walk the loop trail down to the creek. Inside you have TV, iPhone station so you can plug in your Pandora, walk in closet, hot plate for cooking, sitting area for reading, dining table and chairs. Outside you have your own patio that overlooks the canyon which is perfect for your glass of wine in the evening (after that walk along the trail). It is private, quiet, and you kind of feel like you are out in the country with no one around you, but you are almost within walking distance to town. George Fox University parents – need a place to stay after bringing your student to school, or for parents weekend, or graduation, or after a football game? This is the perfect place and your son/daughter can come visit you here! GFU campus is only 2 miles away! You have your own private patio with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Windrose is also a Meeting and Event Center. So you can have your wedding or family reunion or Thanksgiving Dinner here with loved ones. It is close-in yet private. NEW!!!!! Windrose Vacation Rental has been completely updated and refurbished in March of 2016. This place was perfect. It was exactly how it appeared on the listing. Lynn has thought of everything to make this property comfortable, even snacks, coffee and creamer. The location was close to all of the different wineries. Would definitely recommend.

The property is beautifully situated on a 1+ acre lot and magnificently landscaped and cared for. The location is perfect and close to all the best vineyards in the Willamette valley. The king sized bed is very comfy and we had everything we could ever need during our stay. The innkeeper Lynn and her sweet dog Abby were delightful and friendly. We will be back, thank you Lynn and Abby! Cannot recommend this home strongly enough.

From the reviews we read about the property, we had high expectations. They were exceeded! Lynn, the manager and owner, provided a property that was extremely comfortable and private. We felt like we were home—even better. We cannot recommend this place with anything other than outstanding. It was more than reasonably priced and exceptionally comfortable. We stayed for a full week, and we enjoyed every moment. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I live locally and rented this property for a visiting relative. She enjoyed the private and serene location. The property is like a retreat with multiple sitting areas and lush garden areas with a walking trail. The host provided extra treats little snack size treats that we appreciated after a long day of travelling. The property is perfectly situated with close proximity to wine country and the Oregon Coast.

Property was unbelievable. Lynne was the most cooperative, energetics person. I think I’ve met in a while she was great, and made sure that she went out of her way to accommodate us and ever way she could.

The Host (Lynn) was very helpful in identifying "go-to" locations such as wineries, restaurants, and local hotspots in the Willamette Valley area. The location is perfect for relaxing and was very clean and quiet. The property borders a wooded area and had a nice patio (with firepit) for winding down from a day's activities. We will definitely stay at Lynn's residence when back in the OR wine country.

I will be there until Feb 26th at least. Melodee and Evonne are amazing! I work nights and they always have coffee ready for me in the mornings. Such sweet ladies! We will be coming back this summer! Love these ladies!

We checked in late (from a late plane trip) and, even though we asked Lynn if it would be ok (she said yes) she sweetly met us to show us a quick tour and to ask if we needed anything. We were in town to visit family and really only were there to sleep and have coffee in the morning (which she had provided along with some other treats). We didn’t get to explore the grounds but what we did see was tidy, pretty and well maintained. We would stay again! Jacque and Larry

This property is an excellent value. Suite is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Hostess is friendly, but not obtrusive. Communications were excellent. We enjoyed views of woods. We would definitely come back to stay again.

Property was at the end of the main downtown district. We had a lovely view of the wooded property. Lynn the owner was very nice and responsive. There were stairs and there was no TV in the main room. The WiFi was okay, but needs to be upgraded for faster speeds. WiFi would drop off periodically.

Lynn is a fabulous hostess with a beautiful property in a perfect location for winery visits.
The back patio is covered and totally private with a garden view, two comfortable chairs and a table.
We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

This was a very clean and comfortable property with a lovely outlook to the forest. Walking distance to downtown Newberg and very convenient to the Dundee wine country. Lynn was one of the nicest hostesses. She warmly greeted us and left us wonderful welcome amenities such as nuts, cheese and crackers, butter, half and half, gourmet popcorn and the most delicious homemade grape jam! It was delightful! The bed was comfortable, the place was private and quiet and scenic. Note that there is a flight of stairs to access the apartment and the only TV was a small one in the bedroom. Overall, we had an excellent experience!

Clean, quiet, great location for touring wineries!
Very nice property with special little touches like treats in the fridge and on the counter. We even used the picnic basket provided! The bed was great (I would have liked a flatter pillow option), and the huge fluffy towels were amazing. Thanks, Lynne, for this great place!

Lynn was the best host in our many years VRBO. Highly recommend this lovely little gem in Newberg which is convenient to so many attractions in Willamette Valley and beyond. We ventured out to the coast for a day, to Mount Hood for a day of hiking, toured the kissing bridges, explored many great resteraunts and wineries in the valley. Super comfortable bed and pillows (better than my own).
Yummy gourmet popcorn and other snacks and cold water and a couple of sodas in the refrigerator on arrival. Abby (tiny, quiet dog) the "official" greater was friendly and adorable. Lynn was super nice and a joy to talk to. Nothing poor to report about our stay.

This one bedroom suite has everything. It has a nice sitting/dining room area complete with all the essentials. Lynn has thought of every need and the suite is furnished beautifully and very accommodating.

Abby, the owners pup, would come check on me. Good size unit for two people. Large bedroom suite with great bed and amazing pillows. Comfy couch, and reading space. Nice lighting for entering and the lockbox is easy in and out.
Super location to get anywhere and a very knowledgeable, kind host. There is a book of info or you can ask in person, about anything you might need or want.
I’d highly recommend your stay in wine country to be here.

Love that there is a separate living space from bedroom. There is no stove/oven but there is a hot plate and microwave. We would have preferred the tv be in the living area and not the bedroom but hubs just used his iPad if he was up later than me. Also loved that there are 2 bathrooms! The best part is the outside space- perfect for coffee/wine- reading a book or just enjoying nature. There are stairs to get to the space. Lynn - the host was awesome as well- very friendly and personable and respectful of her guests- and has a lot of local knowledge/suggestions for the area. Like I said- we will be back!!

Nice stay in wine country
This nice apartment is perfect for a visit to wine country: it's quiet but right near downtown Newburg, and minutes from amazing wineries, it's clean, comfortable, and modern. And our host was very friendly and helpful.

STAIRS AFTER IT-BAND SURGERY
I had asked about stairs and explained my surgery. I was told the apartment was below her house. I must of not been clear I had just had surgey and could not do stairs. It was very painful to go up and down the stairs to get to the apartment.
It was also cold in the apartment. The furnace would come on in the morning. It would of helped to have it come on before bed time for awhile.
I would love to go back when I am able to do stairs.
