About this house rental
Nestled in Holmes Beach, this attractive house for $667 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This two story gulf front private home has 3 bedroom/2 baths with fun Carribean decor. This ground level home allows you to walk right out into the sand. There is a screened patio for dining and enjoying the sunsets. Or relax on the outside patio with another dining table and outdoor seating, or go up on the upstairs deck for a great view. Nothing between you and the beach. Enjoy the white sand, warm water and gentle surf of the Gulf, or retreat to the shady yard or deck to watch the dolphins and birds or enjoy a good book. Upstairs are three bedrooms (2 with king beds, 1 with twin beds) and 1 bath. All bedrooms have access to upstairs deck. Living, kitchen and dining area and 1 bath are downstairs. Central heat and air conditioning, washer, dryer, dish washer, HDTV with cable, and WIFI. Fully equipped kitchen, paper products and basic pantry staples are provided. View of the water from the living and dining room as well as 2 of the bedrooms.The shady yard is big enough for yard games like cornhole or bocce ball. An assortment of beach mats, floats, toys and beach towels are provided. Use the outdoor fireplace/grill for BBQ's or enjoying a fire on a cool evening. Smoking outside only please. Strict occupancy limit of 6 people due to city ordinance (a child of any age counts as a person). Sorry, absolutely no pets.

The online pictures, while totally accurate, didn’t do the property justice! Our family of five (parents and young adult kids) loved our time in paradise. This rental has everything… kitchen utensils, plenty of towels, beach chairs, etc. Owners were responsive and easy to work with. My husband said this was one of, if not THE, best places we’ve ever rented. The setting (view of sea oats and the beach) was fabulous. Now if the weather had been just 10 degrees warmer… :-)

This house far exceeded our expectations! The beach is amazing, the house is well kept and absolutely beautiful! The owners are accommodating and clearly care about their guests. The house is well stocked. Did I mention the beach? It is so close and absolutely better than any we've been to in Florida and in the Caribbean! Turquoise blue water, white sand, shells - it was perfect! We loved the screened in porch in the back and the balcony off two of the bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. Publix is nearby for groceries and there are great restaurants and shops close by. This was an all around wonderful experience and we cannot wait to return!

Couldn't Be Better
We had a fabulous visit. The air conditioners work great, the ice machine makes ice, the rooms were spacious and we loved every second of being in this home. Right on the beach and absolute perfection.

Best possible location, best possible views!
Steve & Debbie's beach house was a gem. Our family of four found it charming and perfectly located. It's truly right on the beach - you can hear the waves with the windows open - and the backyard is an oasis shaded by tall Australian pine trees which are perfect when you need a respite from the heat. It's amazing not needing to lug all your gear to the beach every day because home is only 50-yards away! There are many places to eat nearby; one of which was a 1/2 mile walk up the beach. We loved using the sand toys, the ocean kayak, and the wonderful screened-in porch. And the beach shower is a HUGE plus when the kids are covered in sand. Overall we loved the charming beach house that reminded us of "Old Florida" and we plan to come back.

perfect location, cozy house
Debbie was in touch with us ahead of our check in date and she was kind enough to let us check in sooner and did a fast turn around with cleaning after the group before us checked out. The house is nice and cozy, perfect location right on the beach- cant get any closer than this!. We were two families( myself, husband and 3 year old son) and my parents and sister. Super comfortable for 5 adults and one child. The house is fully stocked with everything! boogie boards, beach toys etc. check out was a breeze too. Will definitely consider for future trips and to anyone else traveling to Anna Maria Island!

Perfect spring break week
The beach cottage was the perfect escape for our family of four! Great location right on the beach with shade to relax in after a long day in the sun. The beach seemed far less busy than other areas we explored on AMI, great for two active kids. The house itself was very clean, had tons of character and the kids went nuts for the glow-in-the-dark surprises in the kids room. We enjoyed lunches and dinners in the screened-in patio. The hosts we’re super helpful and responsive. It was the perfect week away and we will be recommending this rental to friends/family! Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy time on AMI with kids!

This is a great beach house in an ideal location. The beach is the backyard and the property is close to many amenities such as restaurants, grocery, etc. I fished in the mornings and our kids played on the beach all day. I would definitely recommend this house to someone looking for a great family vacation.

Property was perfect for me
Casual is the theme for this rental and for Anna Maria Island. I stayed here for a month and will be back next year. This cottage is laid-back with a retro feel that I appreciate. It has a fabulous beachfront with a shaded patio area, a rare commodity on Holmes Beach. The cottage is a short walk to shops, Wahlgreens and Publix. The owners are very accommodating and kind and have stocked their rental with all things beachable. Holmes beach is a completely walkable beachfront right down to the main tourist area on Bridge St. Lots of transportation options with a free trolley or my favorite: the Monkey Bus. The Anna Maria Island vibe is low-key, fun and very friendly; not flaming or rambunctious like Key West. Great for families and lots of casual restaurants, including a good French one (My AMI). From the cottage a 10 minute drive takes you to Cortez, the last authentic fishing village in Florida, with fish company cafes that serve up the daily catches dockside. The village is an historic district with a museum and cultural centre. All in all, the cottage was the perfect place for some much needed R&R.

Stunning beach house in beautiful location!
Our hosts were waiting for us as we arrived. Pleasant, helpful, great communicators and flexible. The house was spotlessly cleaned. Master bedroom is huge, with two large additional bedrooms that connect to fantastic upper deck with unobstructed ocean view. Screen porch, backyard connected directly to beach. Privacy, quiet, great kitchen, well appointed. Plenty of patio and beach chairs. Washer / dryer and private parking. Everything promised and more! Highly recommended.

Old School Cool - Classic Beach House Vacation - Perfect!
We stayed at the property in late March-Early April and found it was even better than the pictures from the website.
The house is charming, roomy, well decorated and well appointed. It has a prime location on Holmes Beach, literally steps from powder sugar sand and emerald water. The house has beautiful views of the gulf from either the patio or upstairs balcony. You can sleep with the bedroom doors open to the west and the breeze blowing through the house at night...wonderful! You hear nothing but the roar of the ocean and the scent of salt air; it feels as if you have traveled back to a much simpler time when gigantic condos and hotels didn't mar the charm of a beach vacation.
The house tucked in a very quiet area which is walking distance from Walgreens, Publix, Stores and restaurants and is well appointed with chairs, umbrellas and water toys. It has two lower patios (one screened and one open) a hammock to die for and an upstairs patio which is perfect for sunset watching.
The Tapps were wonderful hosts and provided helpful information about the area, attractions and restaurants. Everything was clean, fresh and comfortable for our group of 4. We had several cookouts and found the kitchen to be well stocked.
We loved our time here and will be returning next year. This is an heirloom house and a treasure to stay in. Many thanks to the Tapp family for sharing their home and the joy of beach living.

Great beach house!
We love everything about this property, starting with the location. It's convenient to so much and it's right on the beach. We couldn't believe how close we were to the water! The views are amazing from either floor--open the slider and you hear the gulf. The home is incredibly well stocked and we wanted for nothing. There's too much to list, but there are water toys, games, puzzles, a hammock, beach towels, beach chairs, even bocce ball! The kitchen is very well appointed. The owners are lovely people who are very well organized and they were wonderful to deal with. They provide a binder that is loaded with all kind of information about the island and the surrounding area--nearby restaurants, adventures, museums, etc. We hope to stay there again!

Loved our stay.
Myself, my Husband and his Mother stayed here for a week, April 9-16th. Our stay was awesome, the beach house and weather were perfect. The owners were very nice and very responsive. The house is located on the beach, and is just a short walk or bike ride to stores. There is a free trolley stop just up the road, the trolley comes by about every 20 minutes. We took the trolley to Bridge St. for shopping and dinning and also took the trolley to the Anna Maria Island Pier where we enjoyed live music and watched for dolphins. We enjoyed being able to just walk out the door and be right on the beach. The beach is very clean and the sand is so soft. The house has everything that you need and is very well maintained. We loved the outdoor fireplace and even cooked dinner on it a few times. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a place on the beach without all the hustle and bustle of a resort. The area is great for all ages, couples or families. My favorite part of the trip was the sunsets, there are no words to describe how beautiful the sunsets are and they are just outside the front door of the house.

No Commplaints Here - Planning same trip next year
The pictures are exactly what you get, which is great. The owners are super friendly and answer all your questions quickly, (they even meet us at the house the first day and gave us a tour of the house). You can not beat the rate for the location, backdoor to beach is 10 yards away. My family and I (6 adults) are already planning a return trip for next year. We found nothing wrong with the house, everything was perfect. The trees around the property block the sun and keep the heat off the house. Rent this house if you want a nice relaxing week in Florida.

Wonderful Beach Front Home
This is our second year renting this property. The owners could not be nicer people who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The home is perfect for our family of five and a couple of guests. Sunset are phenomenal from the back deck, hammock or just steps to the beach. Located on a quiet side street, this home is walking distance to some great restaurants and grocery shopping. We are already looking forward to next year.

Very Nice House for Beach Vacation!
The house was just as the photos depicted. Reservations were made very easily. Debbie & Steve were very helpful with any questions I had. The house had everything we needed for eating & playing on the beach right in front of the house. We ate dinner on the patio most evenings while the sun set. Walgreens was 1 1/2 block away for beer & other beverages. The trolly stop is only a 5 minute away. We did have a problem cooking for 6 people in the fireplace outside. The grill provided was to small for our group. There was also construction that started at 7AM, which interfered with our sleeping in the mornings.

Everything We Wanted
We wanted a comfortable, clean house right on the Gulf and a beautiful stretch of beach, located near a supermarket and good food. This home provided all of these things and more. Everything was immaculate and in good working order. Our hosts were lovely and made the rental process easy-no long contracts and lists of "don't do this". Our only regret is that they are already rented for next winter. We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice place but bad timing
The rental was very nice and clean. We were unfortunate that there was construction next door. About half our days were filled with sounds of hammering instead of the beach. There are also three days with dead fish all over the beach and it stunk. We were told it was due to the mullet run but that the beach didn't get raked for a couple days because it was Christmas. But the property itself and the owners are very nice.

Wonderful location, homeowners were very welcoming and helpful. Best of all, the beach was in our backyard! We were able to walk to Walgreens, Publix, and some restaurants. Everything we needed for a perfect beach getaway!
