About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Oconee, this lovely house for $895 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Our house is luxurious and almost new - Built to enjoy a weekend getaway or a week long vacation. Dog friendly with a BIG yard to play in and located on a protected cove away from boat traffic, yet only 5 miles from Publix plaza, movie theatre, etc. Two large screen TV's in the great room - 50" LCD in game room area with Xbox capabilities and a 65" TV for the main living 42" in the kids bunk room; great for the kids! Smart TVs in 3 of the other bedrooms as well for on demand streaming. Three King beds (1 upstairs and 2 downstairs); Kids bunk room upstairs has a Queen over Queen bunk bed that sleeps up to 4; as well as 2 Twin beds. There is a 5th bonus bedroom with a Queen bed (accessible through the kids bunk room); a Queen sofa bed in game room area; and 2 Queen size air mattresses if needed. Each King bedroom has its own a private bathroom, while the kids bunk room and the bonus 5th bedroom share a bath, for a total of 4 bathrooms. Our home sleeps 16 guests in beds (including sofa bed) and we permit up to 18 guests max (in case you have a few extra little ones as well). The awesome kitchen is open concept so you can be a part of the group while whipping up dinner. It has all stainless appliances, including a gas stove top and double oven. Granite and quartz counter tops and wood floors throughout. Adults can enjoy the gigantic deck with a fantastic view of the lake while the kids watch tv or play ping pong inside. There is even a hammock on the deck too. Perfect for afternoon cat naps after a day on the lake. The lake side of the house has private dock for your boat, a 50 foot sandy beach (rare at the lake) in the backyard for super easy access to floating and swimming in the lake. The enormous flat level grass yard is perfect for throwing the football or Frisbee around. Public boat ramp less than 1.5 miles from home - bring your Boat or PWC and tie it up to the dock for the week and enjoy the fantastic fishing and boating offered on Lake Oconee. Multiple golf courses in the are, Club and Reynolds Landing are two of my favorites... House is located next to a wooded area on its own 1 1/2 acre lot, and the water is very private on a cove and is perfect for skiing, tubing, and floating! See you soon! ***IMPORTANT*** Please be aware that this property has a maximum occupancy of 18 guests. Due to Property Owners Association regulations this property may not host large gatherings such as family reunions, weddings, etc that exceed 18 guests. Parking is limited to 6 vehicles and no parking is permitted on the street. Owners maintain the right to evict parties that exceed maximum occupancy limits without refund. ***** Note: during prime summer weeks we rent weekly, Saturday to Saturday. The property was lovely. The home was very open with several bedrooms to accomodate our 13 member family. There were tons of things for the children and adults to do- of course, the lake, the beach area, games ranging from video to ping pong to giant connect boards. We all loved the fire pit area. It was perfect for us and we hope to come back in the future. Owners were very good at communicating with us so everything went smoothly with check in and check out. Again, we all loved the place!

My husband rented this house for our first family get together with our grown children and a few of the grandchildren. The house is huge, the property is beautiful. There's a little beach area for swimming and a nice boat dock, but you have to drive a few miles to the boat ramp to put your boat in the water.
We had more than enough room for 10 adults and 4 children. The kitchen has the perfect layout and is stocked with silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, drinking glasses and coffee cups. There were 2 types of coffee makers, a toaster oven, range, microwave, 2 refrigerators, a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. Plenty of games and tv's so the kids didn't get bored. I loved the layout of the house. Especially everyone having their own bathroom. The owners have been so nice and welcoming. They even took the time to contact us and make sure everything went well for us.
I would suggest you bring your own bath towels, unless you want to do laundry. Also, check with the homeowner to see if the outdoor grill has been fixed. The last renters apparently left it filthy and the burners were clogged. So we couldn't use the grill. Which wasn't a huge problem as we brought a rack to cook over the fire.
We would definitely stay here again and hope to soon.

We stayed here for my son's wedding. It was a perfect space for our family. Very spacious with an extremely well-equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The 4 full bathrooms were a plus. And we were able to bring our dogs! We took advantage of the big back porch and enjoyed mornings overlooking the lake. Definitely recommend.

6 of us stayed over the weekend. Lots of games, lots of rooms, and close to our marina. We even pretended we were at the beach with the sandy cove. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spend a week at this wonderful lake home. the property was described as being luxurious and new and it did not disappoint. The host was very accommodating and readily available for any and all questions we had. We plan to return to the area and hope this home is available when we come back. Absolutely a wonderful vacation for us!!!!

My wife and I, with some periodic visits by friends, spent three straight weeks in late July and early August, after making our reservation in September ‘22. We were clearly disappointed with our total very large investment. Looking backwards, I went and re-read the property description. It was accurate, except for the first sentence, “Our house is luxurious and new”. That is quite an over, if not incorrect, statement. A nice piece of land, absolutely! A 7-year-old house, definitely. But, no real upkeep, dirty and mostly sparse, worn-out furniture, thin towels and linens, mold on outdoor furniture and walls, indoor walls clearly needing painting and overall, a property yearning for refurbishing and repair, especially at the very high in-season price we were paying. I’d strongly suggest a re-write of the opening description sentence that starts with, “Our house is “large, very basic and well worn”. This would be a much better portrayal of the property.

Sandy Cove Lake House was perfect for our family gathering. Plenty of space for nine adults and 2 children. House is conveniently located to grocery store and restaurants. Beautiful lake view from huge covered porch and large windows inside home. Home has updated furnishings, comfortable beds and plenty of linens and towels. Kitchen is large and has everything you need for preparing meals. Sandy Cove exceeded our expectations, and we hope to visit again soon.

We had a wonderful vacation at Sandy Cove. The house is amazing and the pictures do not do it Justice. So many games and activities for every age group. We had adults, teenagers, and school aged children with us. The dock was easy to get in and out of and the kids enjoyed the sandy beach. Everything we needed we had access to. Definitely would stay here again! Steve, the owner was attentive and helpful.

This property is beyond amazing! Traveling for a wedding weekend, we all met at this oasis with our children and loved ones for a wedding weekend. The house instantly set the tone of love, warmth and laughter. The boys (young and old) enjoyed football on the back lawn- a memory that each will cherish forever. The access to the white sand beach and the dock were a huge hit for the kids. The kitchen is fully stocked with large pots and pans, two coffee makers, tons of utensils and Longaberger coffee cups (my favorite!). Beds were so comfortable and the plantation shutters allowed each guest room it’s own unique entry of natural light. The neighborhood is quiet except for the laughter that dances across the water.
On our last day, I received a phone call my brother had died and I cannot tell you how seeing the sunrise on the lake instantly gave me a sense of peace on his behalf.
This home is amazing and I hope that everyone has the wonderful memory making experiences we had.

The many windows allowed for relaxing views and lots of natural light. The weather was not the best so we had limited time on the dock and the mosquitoes were out in full force so we did not use the covered porch. The layout of the home is very open so it was quite loud/echoes in the family room space with talking, ping pong, games and tv. The home is showing signs of wear and needs a little attention, especially the cabinetry. Overall, the home provided an opportunity for togetherness and allowed our pups to be with us! The host was very responsive with feedback for our questions which was most appreciated.

This property has a great amount of space and has a wonderful backyard for the family. Our family and dog stayed here for a long weekend and brought a boat along. The only thing I’d say that could’ve been better is the cleanliness of the home. It could use a deep clean but other than that everything was great. The owners are very responsive and willing to help with anything. I would stay here again.
