House was perfect. Our family's 4th time to this location but 1st in this house. Space and layout excellent, location and proximity to beach excellent. Good beach chairs. Everything worked perfectly. Snorkels were good but fins were children's size or a very small adult, so if you wanna use fins, gotta rent em in town. Lack of a/c noted by other reviewers did not bother us given good supply of fans. Hot tub worked well. House kitchen equipment excellent. Beds comfortable, bathrooms and showers worked well. Seems like local law enforcement has been stepped up to keep beach clear of campers...very much appreciated. Rental agent responsive to issue regarding a rebellious smoke alarm. A.m. rooster burden lower than in past. Will be back after saving up.

This was really the perfect house for us. Took my whole family -- kids and grandkids. Five adults and five kids (6 months - 10 years). The house was really perfect. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all. Plenty of beach towels -- which was really appreciated. And the small little private beach across the street was amazing. Water could have been warmer --- but considering the time of year -- it was great. The kids were able to snorkel out quite a ways and saw loads of fish and turtles. Some even did a night snorkel out to the far drop off and saw octopus and eels. The great thing about the location was the house is almost at the end of the road -- so very little traffic. Cars did turn around in front of the house -- but honestly wasn't a problem. The checkin and check out were smooth and had no problems with the house. I personally would have loved a french press coffee pot :).... but the others were happy with all the kitchen was stocked with. House was clean and light switches were labeled which was super helpful since there are several spaces that had separate lights. Grandsons had more fun getting coconuts and fishing, and chasing geckos and snorkeling -- no one even attempted to turn on a TV. Highly recommend this house for a large family --- but even a small family would love it!

We had a great week at the Wade House. The 3 master suites layout of the house was perfect for our families. We spent every night on the deck, star gazing and every day on the beach in front of the house. The view is gorgeous and the calm beach was perfect for smaĺ children. The kitchen was very well equipped, although the fridge was temperamental. A word of warning: the house isn't air conditioned. During our stay, the 2 smaller bedrooms were 90° every night, even with 2-3 floor fans running all day. The breezes outside never seemed to cool the house.

I can't say enough good things about the Wade House - it was the perfect place to stay for our 25th anniversary with our family. The house itself is spacious and beautifully designed, with stunning ocean views and easy access to the beach. The floor plan is great for a multi-family group, with three master bedrooms (all with ocean views!) and two additional bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. It was wonderful to be able to spread out and have our own space, while still enjoying all the amenities of the house. One of our favorite things about the Wade House was the private beach across the street. It's such a beautiful spot, and we had a blast taking family photos and snorkeling with the sea turtles. It really added to the overall experience and made our trip feel even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend the Wade House to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable vacation rental in Anini Beach, Kauai. It was the perfect place for our family celebration, and we'll never forget our time there.

Layout of the house is perfect for a family group or multiple couples. Three master bedrooms plus two bedrooms with two beds each, each with access to its own bathroom. Great access(across a small dead end street) to a very safe beach with good snorkeling right off the beach. The kitchen cabinets need some serious upgrading. For a house with all of the advantages this house offers, it just needs to be refreshed. Otherwise, a great property.

The layout of this house is perfect for a nice family gathering. There are three king suites and two rooms with two twin beds each. There is a large living room and dining room table for ten people. There’s room for several helpers in the kitchen too. Endless ocean views from almost every room. There’s practically a private beach directly across from the house although we shared it with a couple getting married and a necklace company’s photo shoot. It is a beautiful setting for photos. At the end of the road for quiet privacy but don’t forget your groceries since you have a little trek to town. We were out every day so it was easy to bring home anything we needed. Everything was comfortable and clean. It had the best supplied kitchen we’ve ever seen in Kauai and there was a great starter pantry which I appreciate so much! It feels like a loving thing to think of others by having some spices and olive oil, soy sauce and the like. Five stars vacation.

Wade Home is a spacious house in a superb location with access to a picturesque beach. Three master bedrooms with ocean view plus two additional bedrooms and all with en suite bathrooms make it a pleasure to be here with a multi-family group. We stayed here four years ago and literally nothing has changed inside the house. Fairly clean but still has the same slow coffee maker, same tired couch cushions, no new paint. Traffic on the narrow road has ticked up considerably and the cute little beach in front of the house has become a very popular tourist spot. There were at least five photo shoots that took place during our week long stay, in addition to fishermen and other beach goers. We loved our time here but probably won’t be back again because it’s not the serene place it used to be.

Anini Beach is perfect for families especially younger children. Water is calm you can paddle board, snorkel and swim! Property management was great. Property was in a perfect location from our family. I felt the house needed a deep clean especially the kitchen cabinets. Also, one of the twin bedrooms was musty and the bed linens needed to be washed. The family room cushions definitely needed to be recovered/cleaned. Overall, because management was responsive and the location was perfect our family truly enjoyed our vacation!

This was an overall excellent rental in an absolutely perfect location. It is literally steps from the beach situated on a reef that lets you walk or shallow swim what seems like forever. The sunsets are as if they were made just for you. Bring a tripod to capture them or just grab the provided beach chairs and prop yourself on the little stretch of beach that's just in front.You will need a car to drive to nearby grocery store, coffee shops, etc, but everything is a short trip away. The place is well-appointed. There were a few relatively minor post-pandemic hiccups but the agency was courteous and eager to respond. They sent someone out to hand-deliver an appliance that needed replacing. I'd like to see some upgraded appliances — especially a better coffee maker (a french press would also be great for individual cups) and blender — given the tier of place it is, but not a deal-breaker.If you're wondering whether it's worth it — it definitely is, especially if you want a PLACE you can sink into and enjoy rather than running to and fro. It is easy to get to things, but this is a place to enjoy being at as much as enjoy being on Kauai.It works well for a group of people that are connected to each other. We knew this property from prior visits to Kauai and booked for a celebration of our 20th anniversary. Just us and the young kids and a sitter but it was a perfectly comfortable and spacious home. The proximity to one of Kauai’s most beloved beaches is the icing on top!

Our family loved this home the layout was so perfect, each family group had a wing to themselves with a master suite upstairs. The beach in front is like having your own private beach . The beach was perfect for all ages. The snorkeling was great with colorful tropical fish and turtles. We will be back.

Great vacation!
We had an amazing stay! The house layout is perfect for a big family to all be together when wanting to and alone time when needed! The rooms are beautiful and the view is outstanding! Completely loved the fact that we had our own private beach, except for some visitors, it was very quiet. Very enjoyable and the perfect house for our first Kauai get away!

We enjoy our stay at Wade house. We had 11 guests including 4 children and the property fit us perfectly. It is right across the street from one of the best swimming beaches in Kauai. We held a vow renewal ceremony right in front. It was a beautiful location. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time staying in the Wade house. There were 6 in our party and we had plenty of room for all w/out feeling like we were on top of each other. AC or at least a whole house fan(s) would be a great improvement to increase the comfort level. Also, the grill is not consistent in it's operation. The first time we used it, it performed as expected. When we tried to grill steaks three days later it wouldn't get any hotter than 150°F. We had to use the oven which made the living area even hotter....UGH! I gave the Property a 4 because of how hot the house gets from noon until past bedtime. I gave the Value a 3 because for the amount you pay/night the temperature of the house should be more comfortable. As much as we enjoyed the house, I will not stay there again at that price because of how hot the house gets.

Accommodating home
The place is secluded near the end of a dead end road so traffic is at a minimum. It's a great place and I would recommend it. My concerns: The barbecue worked well the first time we used it for burgers. The second time we attempted to use it for our steaks it wouldn't get above about 150° F. We ended up having to put our steaks in the oven. That wouldn't have been much of an issue except that the house does NOT have air conditioning so it REALLY heated up the house that evening. I had the issue with my home grill and I had to replace the valve that connects the propane tank to the grill. Paying about $1,200/night one would expect for everything to operate as advertised. There are a lot of accessories for the beach....chairs, an umbrella, and a variety of floats for the water.

Great house, with a beautiful view just a few steps to the beach.
The house was great for our party of 10 people. The bedroom layout was awesome and afforded privacy and a view to all three master suites but still felt close to the main part of the house. The beach was very nice, shallow and calm which was great for the small grand children, but afforded easy access to snorkeling and swimming for the adults. The only reason I am not giving this home 5 stars is that it is across from a pull out spot on the road and more than half the time we were there, there was someone camping in the pullout spot which is very close to the house. There were always people parked there and turning around in the driveway to the house. Other than that the house was beautiful, clean and well stocked and we enjoyed our time very much.

Wonderful home for a family vacation!
We stayed for 5 days for an extended family vacation & it was perfect! Would also be perfect for a couple of families with kids! Different wings of the house with separate bathrooms. The perfect set up! We had more than one cook in the kitchen and it worked out just fine. Favorite time was watching the beautiful sunsets from the lanai!

Beautiful house in a great location.
At the end of a 2 mile road this large house sits across from a quiet and safe beach. The house is fantastic for groups as each bedroom has its own bathroom and a large central living room/kitchen and beautiful views.
Well equipped kitchen, some beach supplies(but don't count on all being in good condition or working), nice to have a washer and dryer .
Only 5-7 minutes drive to princeville, 10 -15 minutes to hanalei - I recommend getting groceries in Lihue or Kapaa - hanalei/princeville very expensive for groceries and supplies. Fish Express just past Kapaa is a fantastic place and very reasonable for fresh fish!!!

Great location, wonderful home
Nice big home for 10 people easy, just across a small street from your own personal beach. The only complaint I have is that the doors to outside need work, some do not open, some do not lock.
