About this chalet rental
Situated in Minnesota, this attractive chalet for $412 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Amazing chalet style 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 2,000 sq ft home with 2 living areas and spacious upper and lower decks for gathering. Situated on beautiful Lake Irene with over 100' of hard, sandy shoreline. **We recently added an arcade & game room featuring a juke box, head-to-head Pacman arcade game, Mortal Kombat arcade game, Hook and Ring Toss, plus there is a full bar for the adults in your party! Great gathering space for the whole family!** Home features open floor plan with vaulted tongue & groove pine ceilings, a gas fireplace, 6 panel pine doors, log railings, a loft area with bedroom, a master bedroom, two full bathrooms, a family room with sliding glass door to 10'x24' deck, a finished lower level family room with a beautiful pine bar, electric fireplace and finished bedroom. Additional 2nd floor deck. Furnished with: washer and dryer, bedroom furniture, couches, and futons. Home also features two car extra large garage (28'x26'). Huge yard and great fire pit with wood provided! It is a beautiful smoke-free / pet-friendly home that we think you will love! Irene's Oasis is a ten minute drive from Alexandria, MN and the chain of lakes (Carlos, Miltona, L'Homme Dieu, Darling, Geneva). It is very easy to get in and out of town, and is within walking distance to the local convenience store. It is also only about 10 minutes from Carlos Creek winery, a great place to have some food and enjoy a wine tasting! Other fun wineries are L’Etoile Du Nord as well as 68 and Vine, both minutes away! Carlos State Park is great to visit in all 4 seasons and features great hiking trails as well as a sandy beach. We offer a full kitchen for your hosting needs and are happy to answer any questions about what we have stocked. Of course there are options for the coffee lovers (like the owner Leah!) including a coffee pot and single serve Keurig. Some of the absolute best fishing on this stocked lake is right off our dock. You will often see boats pulling up to try and get in on the action. Some of the best memories are sitting on the dock bench and watching the kiddos reel them in - hope you have the same experience if you visit in the summer! We hope you have a blast, get a chance to enjoy the lake and views from the deck, and can't wait to return! We do ask that you do a cursory cleaning prior to leaving. (The cleaning fee covers a cleaning crew for 4 hours, time required beyond that will be deducted from the damage deposit $75 per hour required). Also, we have a strict no-smoking policy. If this policy is violated, we will keep the entire damage deposit to pay for the cleaning required to rid the house of the odor. Pets are negotiable and a $125 pet fee is required. Please let us know when inquiring that you will be bringing a pet. We ask that you pick up any little "treats" left in the yard and address any excess fur in the house before departing. The minimum primary renter's age must be 25+. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age should we feel it necessary. A nice cabin in a great location. The sleeping accommodations were perfect for my family. I appreciate the owner allowing us to bring our dogs as long as we paid an additional pet fee. I was very disappointed in the level of cleanliness but then I have high expectations in this area especially when I'm paying for a place to stay.

Girls weekend with was perfect here! So cozy and comfortable with plenty of space! Kitchen had what we needed, everything was well stocked! Host Leah went above and beyond for us to make sure we had all we needed! Great quiet neighborhood, beautiful lake views even on our cold weekend.

Came to for a few nights during fall break, grateful to find a place open this late into the fall, the views out of the windows/doors of the fall colors on the lake were beautiful! Leah and Keith make the whole process super easy and are super responsive to questions/concerns! Cabin is stocked with most everything we needed. Bonus being able to have our pets there with us!

This was the best place to stay for a fun relaxing girls weekend. Everyone said as they arrive how peaceful and beautiful was it. The view over the lake with the fall colors was just wonderful to take in moments after walking into the house.

We so enjoyed the atmosphere and love that was felt at this cabin. Decorated beautifully, lovely view of the lake, great fire area as well. Garage was nice to park in and extra fridge to empty coolers. The basement has a beauitful bar and fireplace as well. We all decided we want to go back to celebrate anniversaries here. Thanks for the rental!

Cabin was perfect for our group of 8. Amenities made everything smooth and relaxing. We had a wonderful time playing games on the patio, chatting at the bonfire, and chilling by the water on the dock. Was in a great location with Chet’s down the road, and a short drive to Carlos Creek winery. Great, private green space for dogs as well. Would recommend!

Our family enjoyed this well stocked cabin with everything we needed. We loved taking out the kayaks & standup paddle board was fun to learn too. Great fishing off the dock! We enjoyed the quiet area to relax & unwind.

We had a great time at Keith's property! Crystal clear water, communication was quick and easy, accuracy in listing left no surprises. The large flattop was great for our group of 9. Chet's Lakeside was a nice easy walk, but a hidden gem!

I would 10/10 recommend this place! The property was beautiful. The house is well kept and clean, lots of places to hang out! We enjoyed that there was a nice swimming area available at the lake. I would love to book here again!

Just a couple things to note, if you stay in the downstairs bedroom you can hear the all the noise (people walking) from the main floor. The advertised boat lift was not in the water for use.
All-in-all it was a good weekend.

Overall communication with owner was good. Cabin was in need of additional cleaning when we arrived. Lack of maintenance in the overall cabin was evident. No boat lift and No Direct TV available as listed in rental agreement. Our family enjoyed our stay regardless - as the weather was good and the kids caught fish!

overall this was a great stay and was able to accommodate 7 of us adults with ease. Although the DVD player didn't work from the start we did get the jukebox to work after unplugging and plugging back in and putting some change in it (which we can get back but left it there for the next ones that stay). the cabin is well kept and clean and the grill was a huge hit as we were able to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it. Appreciate the owners responsiveness to any question we had.

We rented this cabin to host a belated Christmas celebration with family. The cabin is well taken care of, and offers plenty of space for multiple families. We loved the main level for shared family time, but also enjoyed the other living spaces in the loft and lower level. The cabin is fully stocked with all of the basic necessities. Proximity to Alexandria is great! Communication with the owner was also easy and they were very responsive. We'd love to come back and stay again.

Loved our NY's weekend stay. More than enough room for our family of 3! Cute, clean, and comfie!! Lots to do in nearby Alexandria & Osakis (Angelina's!). Lake Carlos State Park is only 5 miles away - great for snowshoeing & skiing, plus you can go right out on the lake!!

Our group was celebrating a 30th birthday and this was the perfect place! The cabin was cozy, clean, and the perfect amount of space for our group of 10. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and also spent time at some fun places close to the cabin - Carlos Creek Winery and The Lure!
The host was great and had excellent communication when I had any questions. I'd recommend this place to others and would definitely go back again!

This is a beautiful home. We had three families each with a one year old baby and we found the home to be a perfect set up for kids. We had a great time and look forward to returning to this home in the future for more getaways!

We stayed at the Single Barrel for the weekend for a family wedding. Great size and room to spread out. The place was nice and clean and included kid's toys, movies that my kids loved. We had an issue with the heat not working and Keith had A HVAC repairman within an hour. Only complaint was that the table was sticky and not clean, we cleaned it several times but would recommend bringing a tablecloth - the table should probably be revarnished in the future. Otherwise, everything was great.

We stayed three nights at Keith’s cabin and highly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, clean home with lots of space for our group. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals and we used the large dining table for gathering.
Having a garage to park our vehicles was an extra bonus and much appreciated. We had a bonfire on our last evening and enjoyed the views of the lake.
We had a great getaway and would definitely return.

We had 4 adults and 3 toddlers in our stay and it was absolutely wonderful! Cabin had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space, toys, excellent fishing, kayaks and beautiful scenery! The owners are very nice and respond quickly to inquiries. We would love to stay here again if we make it back this way in the future! Highly recommend!

As a first-timer w/VRBO I was very pleased with how smooth everything was. The house/cabin was spotless, it was well stocked with essentials if needed, and there were additional items available to use (lawn chairs, kayaks, paddle board). Keith was extremely responsive and I/we felt very comfortable here. The steps down to dock (no beach) were steep but sturdy. I would consider this lake a fishing/boating lake (vs. swimming,) as it’s very weedy. It’s close to Alexandria, yet you’re not in the middle of the summer craziness. The local restaurants had a great ‘up north’ vibe and delicious food. The cabin printout was very detailed and I/we had no complaints! Thank you Keith and family’s for sharing your beautiful view

This house is perfect for a family getaway. Nice yard for lawn games, and we were able to tie up our boat on the dock to go tubing and wakeboarding. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!
