Front beach and downtown are both within 2 & 1/2 blocks of the cottage. The weather is beautiful, the sand and beach chairs are waiting, Tatonut is making the best donuts ever, and the restaurants are serving up great food and music!!! This beautiful little cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen, appliances, bathrooms & fixtures along with a stackable washer/dryer. The location is perfect for your beach vacations or weekend getaways and ready for your enjoyment and pleasure as you spend time around the beautiful and quaint town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. You can enjoy the back porch where you can relax outside listening to birds and watching butterflies. The dining and living room give comfort and relaxation after a day at the beach or exploring downtown. The master suite has a queen bed and master bathroom that also houses the stackable washer/dryer unit. The guest room also has a queen bed and its own bathroom. Butterfly Cottage is a private home located in a quiet neighborhood near the downtown Historic Ocean Springs. I have enjoyed getting to know our neighbors who are fun and interesting people whose friendship, privacy and quiet enjoyment of their homes and community are very important to us. Please treat our home and neighbors with the same respect you would your own. We hope you enjoy your stay. The cottage is also the private personal winter residence tor us, the owner. We enjoy visiting throughout the year spending time here on the gulf coast with our family. Therefore, we take special pride in maintaining our home-away-from-home. Absolutely, no partying, no smoking, no pets allowed inside or outside. Please limit your guests to 4 guests except by owners permission. This bright and cheerful cottage is well equipped and has the distinct advantage of an excellent location… literally a couple of blocks from town center and south beach. It’s very walkable which is important considering the scant parking in downtown Ocean Springs.

Ocean Springs is an amazing town. Everyone is so friendly. Butterfly cottage is so cute and comfy! House is in great location-walk to beach in morning and walk to town in the afternoon. Also fresh shrimp boats at the marina selling fresh shrimp. Cindy is so easy to work with! Can't wait to go back!

Perfect location for our fun girls trip! Able to walk to the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Restaurants and art museum (Walter Anderson) a few blocks away. So thankful we found this little beach cottage and made our trip perfect, peaceful and Fun!

We enjoyed our stay during Memorial Day weekend! Cottage is clean, I loved little houses as decorations around the Cottage, all the little touched, you can see that it is cared for and by extension, I as a guest am cared for. We’ll be back in July and can not wait. Within walking distance from beach and downtown, and of course a little park for the kids!

If you are looking for the quintessential beach cottage then this it! Perfect location to both the beach and downtown, every amenity we could have wanted and tons of charm. We have stayed here twice now and will certainly be back again. Hosts were wonderful, communicated with us and answered every question we had. Quiet' clean and just simply the best! The cottage was easy to find. Everything was just like I read in the description. I, my husband, and another couple stayed here. Loved having 2 bathrooms. The place was clean, quiet and so close to everything. I recommend this precious place. Our host answered all our questions. She was very sweet. Hope to go back soon!

Great location within walking distance of both the beach and downtown. This cozy house was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and there was coffee in the kitchen. We will definitely plan to stay here if we’re ever back in Ocean Springs.

Came in town for a concert and wanted to stay extra days. This cottage was perfect for what we wanted. Back porch, good parking for 2 vehicles, cool old cemetery across the street and easily could walk into town. Decor was cute and beds were comfy. We would definitely stay here again.

We were extremely surprised with the close proximity of the beach, kids playground and downtown historic district. There is a cemetery across the street which is the oldest in Ocean Springs. Don't forget to try the local favorite "Tato Nut donuts". We will be back again. Love the small home charm and friendly residents.
