Situated in Seneca Lake, this charming house for $445 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The Serenity Zen House is uniquely perched overlooking Seneca Lake. This is the ideal spot for a get-away in the Finger Lakes. There are several excellent wineries within a mile of the house and it is close to all the Finger Lakes attractions. Great for families, couples and groups just looking to get away for a few days of fun. Only 10 minutes from Hobart and William Smith. There is a large kitchen overlooking the lake. The living room has a gas burning fireplace with a cathedral ceiling and a gorgeous view of the lake. The master suite features a king size bed and provides an unsurpassed views over the lake. There is a queen size bed in each of the other two guest rooms. Roll-away beds are also available. There are two modern baths with a tub/shower in the guest bath and a large shower with seat in the master bath. The home features extensive multi-level decks overlooking the lake, There is a private beach with access down a set of stairs and the beach has a gentle slope into the lake for wading and swimming. Located on a town road the home is very easy to access and is conveniently located just 10 miles south of Geneva and 25 miles north of Watkins Glen in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region.

Beautiful views off multiple decks and beach area. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the table in kitchen. Perfect for playing games in the evening. Easy to work in and well stocked kitchen. Great location for getting to Watkins Glen and many wineries. Truly enjoyed our stay.

The kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. It was a couples retreat so one couple had a bigger room/bed than the other but it still worked out well. Beautiful deck and lake views. The owner had a quick response and was very friendly. If definitely recommend this house!

It was our first visit to the Finger Lakes region and we will definitely return! The location of Serenity Zen house was perfect with quiet neighborhood and amazing views of the lake. The four of us enjoyed coffee on the deck while watching the sunrise and also sat on the dock to absorb the beauty of the lake. The owner, Jim was easy to communicate with and answered any questions in a timely manner. The house was very clean and inviting. Hiking trails and wineries were close by and we had fun exploring them. Overall, it was a very positive experience!

My husband and I met up with my sister and her husband for a trip to Upstate and the lakes. Great location on Seneca Lake. House was perfect size, great lake views, decks and a boat dock. Loved all the mini fireplaces throughout the home. Well equipped kitchen. If we get to repeat this trip we would stay here again!

My entire party, including the four-legged friends who traveled with us, had a terrific stay at the Serenity Zen House. It was everything described and more. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and it's outdoor amenities as well as the entire Finger Lakes region. James was a terrific host and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. We were very happy with the house (just as described and pictured) and the location can't be beat. Jim was very friendly and a great communicator along the way. We took his recommendation on the fishing trip with Roy's Boys Charter and caught lots of fish! The house was clean and well stocked with supplies and cooking items. Loved watching the sunrise every morning on the deck, overlooking the lake. Great for our family of four and our dog! We loved the area too, our first time in the Finger Lakes - Watkins Glen should not be missed - amazing. Explored and enjoyed many wineries that were close by. Kemmeter, 4 min. away was definitely a highlight! Kids and I loved the kayaks (make sure you wear a life jacket). We enjoyed a fire on the beach one night. Close to Geneva for groceries and a few restaurants. We all had an amazing vacation and can't wait to do it again!!

Our family of 6 adults and 1 child enjoyed our week at Serenity Zen House. Location is perfect for visiting lots of wineries. Huge deck is perfect for morning coffee, wine & cocktails in evening and dining. We enjoyed using the grill, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
Wegman's in Geneva is only 20 minutes away.

The home was perfect for our needs. My husband and I came a day earlier then our 18 and 20 year old sons joined us. We all enjoyed our stay. We brought kayaks but the home had 2. The views of the lake were breathtaking. We really enjoyed our stay and Jim, Property Manager, made sure we knew he was available if needed. He lives on the same street. We are knew to VRBO and was happy with our choice!

We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. What a gem this lake house was…waking up to the sunrise on the lake makes for a beautiful day. Loved the numerous decks to hang out on and the beach. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time there as well as our dog Zeus. Jim is an amazing host!!! I had to have emergency surgery and Jim was extremely helpful and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Everything about our stay here was great. Super easy check-in and the location right on the water was perfect. We got so lucky with 70 degree weather in November and wish we could have enjoyed some more time out on the deck by the water. Thank you for an amazing weekend and we hope to come back again!

We had a lovely stay. The house was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The views, the decks, the beach were so amazing! The owner was very accommodating for a special request. It’s seems to be rare something is as advertised and this home truly is. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful, and dog-friendly, it couldn’t have been better!

This home was perfect for our group of six. The home was clean, spacious, relaxing, and complete with a beautiful view. We found every item we needed in the kitchen to cook meals, and we enjoyed the space heater provided on the deck. We did not find any need unmet while staying at this lovely home. We will be back for sure. Ports Cafe a short distance down the road as well as Fox Run Vineyards!!!

Nice lake house in a great central location for wine tasting, and convenient access to the lake with a dock and small pebble beach and swim area. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We had a newborn so having blackout curtains would’ve been more helpful in the bedroom, but it was a very quiet little street. There’s a train that runs by once or twice a day, but it didn’t bother us. Some of the floors under beds and furniture were pretty dusty, but otherwise the place was pretty clean.

We had a great time at the lake house. It’s located in a very peaceful but also very convenient spot . It was equipped with everything we needed. It was pet friendly too so we loved being able to have our dog with us. The multi tiered deck was one of our favorite features, we spent so much time outside - from waking up with our coffee to cocktails after a day of hiking or checking out the wineries. The host was also great to communicate with in advance of our stay with a couple of questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Okay VRBO where's the Nine Star button? I would like to make up for the misguided individual who only gave this place one star a couple of weeks ago! We have rented houses up in the Finger Lakes for over 20 years, and this is by far, the best pet friendly rental that we have had.
Jim, the owner, was an excellent Premier host. He lives close by and we knew if we needed anything we only needed to let him know. The house was very clean and well equipped.
The large top deck is completely enclosed so we had no problems letting our dogs just wander around the deck while we had a sunrise morning coffee, meals, or an evening glass of wine. The lower deck was a great place to go down and sit and sun in the afternoon. Both decks had tables with umbrellas in case you wanted to snooze without burning. Also, the ladder into the water from the dock made it easy to access the water for a quick dip. It was also great to have access to the included house Kayaks for a paddle around the neighborhood.
Our Labradors also highly appreciated access to the water from the small rocky Beach. They swam so much every day retrieving that they were completely exhausted at night and content to just lay down and sleep.
Another huge plus was the attached garage. It let us store our Bicycles, coolers and paddleboard with confidence. It is worthy of many bonus stars.

Very quiet area despite being here for July 4th. Owner close-by, a plus. Only issue is that we could have used another week to unwind and get to everything on our list. Our Boxer Leo, amd my daughters parrot Gryffin loved it as well. Thank you Jim for this great house!

Beautiful property, quiet location
We loved our stay here! The property was beautiful, and the location was perfectly situated off the main road, making for a peaceful and quiet stay (except for the occasional train, which was a fun distraction for the train fans and kid among us). We enjoyed long walks down the road, enjoying the neighbors’ beautiful gardens. It was an easy walk down to the dock and beach, where we enjoyed skipping stones and watching the water. The balcony is perfectly situated for water watching too. The sunrises even made us a bit more of morning people. 🙂 We also enjoyed a walk up the hill and across the main road to Red Tail Ridge for a dog-friendly stroll with a goal. 😉 A quick drive up to Geneva offered a Wegmans for groceries and awesome breakfast out at the Water Street Cafe, while a drive south and around the bottom of the lake through Watkins Glen took us to our favorite dining location: Danos Heuriger on Seneca. We look forward to staying again!

Quiet street, beautiful view
The location was the best we've had in the Finger Lakes region. The street was quiet and the sunsets were beautiful. The house was simple and very clean, but the supplies were basic (e.g., only six bath towels for four adults and one dish towel in the kitchen). Beware, there is no washer/dryer at the house. We appreciated the two gallons of water and toiletries left for us - nice touch! The dock and beach have better privacy than most rentals. Although not being able to dock boats overnight is a bummer. We loved the two kayaks provided by the rental.

Upon arrival we always walk in the front door and out the back sliding door to the deck to get to the gorgeous view! Our favorite place to be while at Lake Seneca is on the deck, dock, and beach of this home! Our girls love kayaking and picking up sea glass and stones along the pebble lined beach and the rest of us just enjoy sitting on the deck or dock overlooking the lake. The sunrises are so beautiful! The area is peaceful (except for the Norfolk Southern train that passes nearby, but this in itself is a blast for the kids to watch!). We do our grocery shopping at Wegmans in Geneva, just 15 minutes away, and they always have such fresh bakery items, fruits, and vegetables. We enjoy using the grill on the deck to cook up our yearly Lake Seneca salmon dinner the night before we leave. Watson Glen is a beautiful 25 minute drive down the lake which is always so enjoyable with the amazing views. We recommend the sandwiches at Glen Mountain Market in Watson Glen and hiking the Keuka Outlet Trail, which has an entrance and parking lot just 5 minutes down the road near the Mr. Twisty ice cream shop. Thank you once again for another great year of memories!

Absolutely perfect getaway
It was the perfect getaway for me, my husband, our kids, and our 2 dogs. So many wineries to visit right down the road. It's on a dead end road, so it's nice and quiet. There is a train that goes by but we thought it was cool to watch the train when it passed through. The deck off the house is all closed in so it's perfect for dogs and young kids if you have them. Our kids are grown so we enjoyed the many wineries close by. The stairs to the water are gradual and not steep, so it's easy to get down there. There is also a gradual access to the water, off to the side of the dock.
There are doors to the back deck from the master bedroom so you can watch the sunrise from the bed if you want.
There are chairs on both the decks. My only suggestion would be to bring a lounge chair so you can lay down on that nice deck, by the water and soak up the sun.
Thank you again for sharing your lake house with us. Our youngest just graduated from College, so I would love to make it a tradition to come back every year, no matter where they move. Allowing us to bring our dogs was a huge bonus.
It is a ranch home so all the bedrooms are on the same level. There are no stairs from driveway to the front door. The deck is only a couple steps off the back of the house and there are great views from the deck, without even going down to the water. If stairs are a concern.
There is also an easy to use, gas fireplace if you are thinking of renting in the fall months.
I would definitely recommend renting this nice home.
