Nestled in Sugar Mountain, this attractive condo for $163 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Located atop Little Sugar Mountain near Banner Elk, North Carolina. Elevation approximately 5,140 feet, with majestic views of Sugar Mountain ski slopes. Suite is approximately 1100 square feet, dining area, private covered balcony, and fully equipped kitchens including, electric range, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal and wet bar. Working fireplace in the living room. Amenities include indoor pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, fitness center, and twenty-four hour security and front desk service. Winter months in Banner Elk are great for skiing and snowboarding, among the four resorts close by. Spring and summer months are enjoyable for outdoor activities, hiking, biking, fishing and golfing. Fall is a spectacular sight in the Blue Ridge as various hues of reds, oranges and yellows. The location is near Grandfather Mountain, Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Beech Mountain, Linville and Linville Falls.

I love staying here. Owner was great to work with. Unit was clean and nice.

We had an awesome time staying at the condo and skiing. However, the check-in process to the condo does take a considerable amount of time. The only complaint that I had is after vacating the property the host added a $50 damage fee related to breaking a vase within the condo. I did confirm with all my guests that we did not notice anything broken or break anything during our stay so I reached out directly to the host to try to resolve the issue to no avail. We really had a great time at the condo so it’s just a shame about the false damage claim.

We spend over 3 hours checking in. And one elevator did not work, making the stairs the only real alternative. Upon arrival and departure this was a hassle. Place is very out-dated. Other than that we had a good time.

Overall it was a nice stay and we enjoyed our time there. The host was always available to reach and extremely nice.

But the attendant kept shouting "get in line, get in line" instead of politely telling us where to park and directing us to the shuttle. My husband finally got out of the car with all of the bags of groceries to find the shuttle on his own. I had to find my own parking spot, then hike all the way up the steep mountain road. I asked the front desk if I could speak with a manager. They gave me her number. (What kind of resort has no manager on a busy weekend???) I called and left her a a message to call me back, but she never did. My intention was to have her retrain the rude gate attendant, but obviously someone needs to retrain her first. We have skied and traveled all over and have never had such a poor resort experience. The unit owner was polite and responsive, so no fault of hers. But we will not return to Sugar Top.

Property was in a great area & had a great view. Great place to book for skiing trip. Smooth experience. Was told the property didn’t allow pets, but saw several dogs on property. Would have brought our dog, but left her at home because we were told no pets on property. Coffee maker had coffee grounds still in it with mold. Other than that, no problems.

Super Memorable Family Vacay
We were pleasantly please with Ruth's Banner Elk home and as a place for us to stay to snowboard at Sugar Mountain. I called the unit owner and she promised me to help find another available unit at the resort and also full refund for her place. She did connect me with the person who was able to rent me a unit for the same nights, but as of over a week later I receive no money back.

Nice west views!
Spacious enough for our family of 6. Adds a little to drop off at entrance and park in lot. They have a shuttle that works off tips. Only minor is the decor is dated, but unit was clean and would stay again!

Long weekend in the mountains
My family stayed here as our launching point for waterfall hikes. We enjoyed the views from Sugar Top. Owner was responsive to inquiries. Great space for our family. Very quiet. The only negative is you have to use a shuttle between parking and the condo building. They have a good system and it's really not difficult, just a bit inconvenient when you forget something in the car and have to run back for baby wipes.

Great location. Eye level with the fireworks. Property was a little dated and AC didnt work, it ended up in the 60s at night so no big deal and we spent very little time in the room. The staff at the resort was awesome!

Nice unit for price
This unit was pretty good. I would say the only negatives are that it had no washer/dryer and it's a bit outdated but other than that I would stay there again. All the front desk/shuttle guys were great too!

That was good place
We are comfortable to stay here. When you come in Season of Winter, call a manager of Lobby before Use hot water. We didn’t know that, showered cool water. It must be 20min wait for hot water.
