About this house rental
Located in Depoe Bay, this attractive house for $268 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Salt Therapy This privately owned ocean front condominium sits on the edge of the cliffs on the north shore providing you with spectacular ocean front views right from the living room window. You can watch whales right from your living room during the day while watching fishing boats and the Coast Guard boats go in and out of the world's smallest harbor. The ocean is right below the window so you truly get the view of a lifetime! At night, sit on the deck while viewing gorgeous sunsets while listening to the sound of fog horns and bells ringing in the distance while listening to the pounding sounds of the ocean filling up the small, secluded beach just below. The condominium is located at the edge of the bay and is within easy walking distance to all the shops and eating places in Depoe Bay. While walking along the ocean side boardwalk you are sure to enjoy witnessing nature at its finest as wave's crash up against the rock and water thunders through the spouting horns spraying water along the path. The condominium has two stories; the first level has the master bedroom with a master bathroom with a large shower, and a smaller second bedroom with a bathroom with shower. The beautifully decorated master bedroom has a king size bed which has a picturesque ocean view. A bedroom door opens to the outdoors where you will be sure to enjoy watching the wave's crash against the rocks. The second bedroom is beautifully decorated with a comfortable queen size bed. Both bathrooms are stocked with lots of towels. The second level has the living room area, kitchen, 1/2 bathroom, and full-size washer and dryer. The living room has ample seating for seven with a hide-a-bed, a flat screen TV, DVD, WIFI and a gas fireplace to keep you warm during the winter months. The dining area has a table with seating for six and a kitchen stocked with cooking and eating utensils, a Jen-Air range, dishwasher and microwave. You have all you need to cook a delicious Thanksgiving dinner here! Salt Therapy is approximately 1,400 square feet and is a well-cared for, clean unit with modern decorations and has all the amenities of home. This is truly your home-away-from-home. This home is not pet friendly so please leave your pets at home, or make other arrangements for them. Sleeping Accommodations - Main Floor- Bedroom 1- King bed Bedroom 2- Queen bed Upper Level: Living room- Sleeper sofa Beach Access: From the condo you will have to drive to the nearest beach access which will be going North on Highway 101 to a State Park called Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area. *Each home is individually owned. The condo was beautiful and very clean! First impression, a little odd that there wasn’t even a roll of paper towels. We bought some at Safeway.
Yesterday, we lost power at 3pm. Not anyone’s fault, freaky ice storm. But, we had no power, no candles, no throw blankets, no emergency lighting such as nightlights! It was DARK and cold downstairs. The gas fireplace worked, but no fan. Downstairs in the bedrooms was so dark.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay and loved Depoe Bay- we really did see whales from the LR window! The only issue we had is that this particular unit is quite close to Route 101 which was a bit noisy. No big deal but thought it's worth mentioning if you have light sleepers!

It is spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The photos accurately depict the apartment. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. A couple of repairs were needed when we checked in on April 3 – a drawer in the kitchen had a broken guide and the doors of the master bedroom closet were inoperable. When we notified Oregon Beach Vacations, we were assured both would be repaired upon our departure (we asked to not have workmen intrude during our stay). We highly recommend Salt Therapy and would glady stay again when we next return to Depoe Bay.

Had a nice visit. Enjoyed the place. Clean,2 disappointments. The only window to view the ocean was so badly fogged up inside the 2 panes you couldn't see unless peaking thru a couple of spots. Another discomfort. The main bedroom was nice but so cold we couldn't sleep comfortably. We did enjoy the visit but those 2 things would prevent us from renting this space again. Sorry. Fix the problems and I would say it was a recommendable place.

If I could upload pictures to share to give an idea of how bad the view is I would because the online pictures are VERY out of date. The place was nice in every other way but I was only willing to pay the extra cost to rent this place because of the advertised incredible view. Unfortunately the window is so damaged that the view is not incredible at all (you can't even see it from the kitchen). If I had known I would not have a very good view I would have just saved the money and found a place inland that would have been just as nice!

Great location, very clean, the ocean theme throughout the condo was super cute and fun, and the view is amazing! Everything was fine until it began to rain hard that night and water came pouring out of the light fixture in the kitchen. We placed a pot under it and decided to wait until morning to report it. When my sister later went to her room downstairs she found the bed saturated and water pouring out of the light fixture over the bed. We placed another pot under the leak and one of us slept on the couch that night. I reported it first thing in the morning and we were moved to another condo for our second night at the coast. It was inconvenient and disruptive but the staff were very responsive and did what they could to make it right.

Overall the condo was fine but there were a few problems. On the second day after my shower I realized that the ceiling was covered in mold. I had seen a few spots by the toilet area but half the ceiling was covered and appeared to be getting worse. We had to close off the bathroom and use the one in the second bedroom.
Also, there was a huge picture window but the seal was apparently broken on the double pane glass.
It was foggy and wet between the glass. It disappointing since the view from the clouded by the moisture. The balcony had the same view, which we used when we could but the weather was rainy and windy on about half of the days we were there. We will always return to Depot Bay but will continue to try different accommodations.

We stayed 3 nights at Salt Therapy. The location is wonderful. Very close to downtown, restaurants, etc. The view from the condo is wonderful! The accommodations were fine and met all our needs.

This location is great. Near the heart of Depoe Bay. Appreciate being able to relax on the balcony and see and hear the waves. We even saw a few spout sightings!
All appliances worked properly. There is also a small one car garage that you can park your vehicle in. Also, don’t forget to walk/hike up to the rear of this neighborhood. There are spectacular views of the ocean and plenty of benches to sit and relax.
Downside to this property is the main bathroom with the ginormous shower. The ceiling in this room is dirty and moldlike near the intake fan. The entire bottom floor (both bedrooms and bathrooms) has an older musty smell. Also, the carpet on the bottom floor and the stairs is in need of a good deep cleaning. The carpet is light in color and shows much wear and dirt stains. A deep cleaning of the bottom floor would bump my rating up to a five.

This condo is in a great location, especially if you are looking to spot some whales. Looking right out the window, we spotted whales every day of our stay. I will say that the condo could have used a more thorough clean (there was long black hair everywhere and a ponytail under the couch cushion) and it would have been nice to have sheets for the hide-a-bed, but we made do. I also ran into an issue when we first walked in. There was a note left by someone to leave “this key and device” in the garage. However, there was no key. I made sure to call and explain that there was no key just to keep myself covered. The handle in the upstairs bathroom seemed like it was just about done for. There were also push pins that I found (because I stepped on one) on the floor. Would recommend solely for the view.

My long time friend from CA and I enjoyed our stay at Salt Therapy, There was a problem with the remotes for the TV. The binder had outdated instructions for the remotes because they had changed their cable company. I did contact the Rental company and the maintenance did get the T V to work.
